Use to see him at Kahaluu Clinic until false complaints were made and then he had to shut down but I still see him faithfully at his Aina Haina Office even if it's now totally out of my way! Dr Nicol has done so much for us in the Kahaluu Community and we all still miss him not having his Office here in Kahaluu. Sharon is wonderful and is always accommodating towards your schedule making sure you'll be seen by Dr Nicol. What's wonderful is that he makes you feel so comfortable as if you are part of his family and you can talk to him about anything that you may have concerns about. I will tell you there are many of us that will travel out of our way to still have him take care of us, and so many of us that are proud to call him our Doctor and LOVE him as well!

Doctors like that are hard to come by nowadays. In fact, I decided to leave my last PCP when she stated her preference for two patient visits per year and the use of urgent care and the ER. She was candid about HMSA's reimbursement switch to a capitation plan as the basis for her preference. I empathize as I think this new payment system is detrimental for the patient too. So that wasn't going to work for me so I found paying the MDVIP fee a good investment. Dr Okimura has in-depth knowledge of my health issues and she is sincerely invested in finding solutions and helping me to be the best me. She is incredibly empathetic, timely responses to calls and emails and comes with well rounded knowledge. I really appreciate that she respects that I know my body and always takes my input into consideration. I highly recommend Dr Okimura!

There's a reason he's booked out for months (I waited nearly a year and a half for my first appointment, but it was absolutely worth it). The practical details are great too: free parking (seriously, what doctor's office has free AND available parking?), excellent location, and the building itself is clean and professional - not sketchy at all. Physicians do travel and don't stay at the same location and since I'm tied to a specific one for workers comp which he's usually here on the particular day I visited but found out later that he wouldn't be but there is a doctor that would be able to fulfill my appointment was great. This Kahala location is literally located right outside of Kahala Mall though to access their parking lot you need to drive into Kahala Mall back parking lot and there's a driveway that will take you to the back side of the building. Entrance there is just the stairs but the front is wheelchair accessible but either way it's a nice spot that can get crowded. Lovely spot that quite different as the waiting room seems like it's for both patients and folks waiting for them as there seems to be spots you can work on and single stall restroom for convenience the staff there is very nice and friendly and some are based here for all sort of paperwork so I did finally get to meet some of the amazing staff. Inside is very roomy and spacious and the quality care they give is very calming and thoughtful. I got my appointment done and I'm all set for the year love this location and it is my preferred area but I do hope that I don't need a visit any time soon. Thank you!
