Amanda was absolutely amazing at our wedding at Sacred Mountain Julian in Julian, CA. I know how incredibly stressful it is selecting vendors for your special day, and the photographer was at the top of our list. I'm a very detail oriented person and knew exactly want I wanted captured/photographed, so I provided her a 'shot list' prior to the wedding day. Amanda not only arrived early the day of the wedding, but captured all of my needs, wants, and so much more! She was extremely professional, knew the venue very well (SO helpful since I was out of town), and so poised in the chaos of family and the events surrounding. We received a few special preview shots from Amanda a few days after the wedding, and let me tell you - I was in complete awe in how beautiful they came out ya'll. About 3 weeks later we received our entire photo deck, and I was in love all over again. It's so hard to be able to be in the present at every moment at your wedding with so much happening, and it was so nice to be relive it again in your POV, but in Amanda's lens as well (literally haha). Amanda was such a delight to work with! She was really helpful and informative in our intro call, and helped us decide what package would best suit our needs. We loved doing our engagement shoot with her. Initially we felt a little apprehensive about an engagement shoot, but it was so much fun and we were so happy we chose to do one! Amanda was great at directing us and helping make us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and the photos came out perfect. It was also so nice to get some practice shooting before the wedding, so that on the day of we were already comfortable with her and the whole process. We couldn't be any happier with the photos from our wedding. She and her team did a great job capturing the little details, the big moments, and the absolute magic and joy of the whole day. They were great at being directive for the posed shots and at completely blending into the crowd when they were shooting candids. They did a great job choosing locations, and they were awesome at coordinating with our videographers. It's honestly so hard narrowing down which photos to put in our album, and which ones to order prints of because they are all SO good! Also, she was so quick to deliver the photos, I was absolutely thrilled to get to see them all after only a couple of weeks. I've worked with a lot of photographers and Amanda is by far the best. She has a wonderful talent for capturing perfect moments naturally. Rather than setting up a ton of equipment and carefully posing her subjects, Amanda works with natural settings and uses her expert timing to capture truly beautiful shots that are as natural as they are artistic. My then fiancee (now wife) and I initially hired Amanda to shoot our engagement photos in Joshua Tree National Park. Amanda readily agreed to drive out and do the shoot with us, hiking through the desert scrambling over rocks, and chasing the sunset with us. Not only did the pictures turn out absolutely incredible, but the experience itself was truly wonderful. Everyone who has seen those photos has been blown away -- from our wedding planner to our venue coordinator and others who look at engagement pictures every day for their job, they all agree that our engagement shoot was in a league of its own. Shortly after that, I asked Amanda to do a business photo shoot for my law firm. Another phenomenal experience. The pics all turned out fabulous and my staff loved every second of it. In addition to being a rockstar photographer, here are a few other things I loved about working with Amanda: 1. awesome attitude. If there's a unique shot you want, Amanda will find a way to get it, even if it's a pain in the ass. 2. ALL THE FILES. Rather than making you pay for a package of like 20 pics, Amanda gives you the whole card. You just have to pick which ones to enhance. 3. Super fast turn around time. For our engagement shoot, we had Amanda's top 20 enhanced pics, plus the entire ~2,000 photos within a day of the shoot. 4. Easy to use online platform for viewing and downloading photos. The second the link goes up, you and anyone with the access code can view, favorite, and download all the files super easily. Again, I've worked with a number of photographers and their file sharing systems always suck. Amanda's is great. If you need a photographer for anything. Engagement, wedding, professional, family, whatever. You need to hire Amanda now. I can't recommend her highly enough. read more

I don't know how she does it. Amanda is absolutely MAGICAL. I am the least photogenic person in the world but my engagement and wedding photos make me look like a movie star. We found Amanda through her blog after googling our venue when we first booked it (Sacred Mountain in Julian, CA). I am so so glad that she had photographed the venue before and we were able to find her this way because Sacred Mountain is such a unique place and Amanda knows it inside and out. She is familiar with all the different areas, quirks, and gems and she is quite simply amazing. My husband and I are awkward picture takers, but her and her team know how to put you at ease and both capture and create some really great moments. There were countless things we didn't even consider that she suggested trying and that we ended up loving (at engagement shoot and at wedding).
