Ofland Escalante kept popping up in my Instagram feed. I usually ignore ads, but this place felt different. What really sold me was that they're dog-friendly with no additional pet fees. We were originally planning an RV trip, but work got in the way. Staying here felt like an RV adventure without all the hassle. We stayed in one of the Airstreams, which had full hookups, a split AC unit, a sink, and a mini fridge. There wasn't a restroom inside, but the nearby bathhouse was spotless and honestly felt like a spa. The property itself was amazing. There's a great lounge area, delicious food from the onsite food truck, and an incredibly friendly staff. The drive-in movie theater with classic cars was such a cool touch. Brownie and Max absolutely loved their stay. Ofland Escalante is located east of Bryce, and the remote setting meant some of the best stargazing I've ever experienced. I could even see the haze of the Milky Way. Each Airstream site has its own fire pit, and they provide one complimentary bundle of wood. We ended up buying more because we loved sitting under the stars so much. Max, being a city boy, preferred relaxing inside the Airstream with the AC, while Brownie, who was always a lap dog, stayed curled up with us outside by the fire the entire time. We visited during their opening weekend in March, so it was peaceful, not overcrowded, and there were barely any bugs. I'll always have a special fondness for this place because it was our last camping and road trip with Brownie, who passed away this past Sunday after years of fighting congenital heart failure. On a trip to the Utah parks, back in Sep 2025, we stayed at Ofland for a night but we both wished we had stayed longer. It was our favorite place with a great property and a killer location! The staff are great, the property itself is huge with a communal area, easy access to ice/water/coffee etc. There are plenty of chairs, couches and firepits to share. The drive-in is as great as advertised but some of the cars are a little bit uncomfortable (just get there early!). The unit itself was cozy with a huge bathroom and outdoor shower. Even in the cold evening air, the hot shower was amazing! Its also very close to Bryce and several other hikes plus they provide you with a lot of information about the surrounding area so you can plan your own adventure! We can't wait to go back! Ofland is a phenomenal place to stay if you're adventuring around Escalante. The community was so inviting and clean, with a really natural feeling flow of private and communal opportunities. I stayed in a "Tiny Cabin", which means using the community bathroom facilities. If you have any reservations about that, don't. The showers/restrooms felt like a spa. The main gathering area, which included an outdoor kitchen area along with multiple fire pits and comfy seating, was surprisingly fun. The community was full during my weekend, but there was still plenty of space if you wanted to spend time alone or meet other visitors. As a solo traveler, I was a little worried about forced social interactions, but that wasn't a problem at all. If I'd wanted to stay to myself, it would have been easy, but I ended up sitting around with a lot of other weekend explorers and having a fun time with strangers. Highly recommend if you're looking for something unique and surrounded by dark skies. read more

First stop of road trip, husband surprised me with glamping! Nestled in Bruce canyon, surrounded by the beauty of Grand Staircase. You have multiple options for lodging but is enjoying the Airstream. Wow. This was a first- cozy inside with a small kitchenette and fire pit outside for cooking. I can't say enough about Yonder... just that it was an incredible experience! From the outdoor morning, coffee to enjoying the Escalante area during the day to lounging by the fire in the late afternoon while eating delicious morsels from the food truck to enjoying the drive-in movie theater from authentic classic cars, everything was perfect! The service was phenomenal. I accidentally made our reservation for a month later than we arrived and yet they made sure we were able to get a space for our two weekend nights. They definitely went above and beyond. We were fortunate to be in Escalante during an art fair so could enjoy seeing local artists' works and talk with them directly. What a great stay!!! This place is unbelievable. The entire Staff is even better. The staff is constantly up-keeping the place. Entire campsite and facilities are very clean. Facilities are awesome. They have full showers with complimentary soap, conditioner, body soap. towels and Q-tips. The west side showers are outside with amazing atmosphere. In addition the women's bathrooms have Dyson hair dryers and curling straighteners. There is an outdoor drive-in movie theater that has vintage cars that you sit in to watch the movie. There is a concession stand that is open 30 minutes prior to 30 minutes after the movie starts that consist of snacks candy and free popcorn. If there are no cars available for you to sit and watch the movie, let the concession stand know and they will give you a pillow to sit on. This place offers so many complementary services. In the general store, you will find alcohol, soft drinks, snacks, and even premade meals that you can grill. Would you believe it if I told you they will even cook the dinner for you. There's also a food truck on site that his permit there. They serve breakfast and dinner. There is a good size pool and hot tub on site. Almost everybody hangs out. With plenty of seating and fire pits. If needed, the staff also will help you park your RV and or camper. They will also help you start your campfire if needed. If you don't wanna cook a meal on the campfire because it'll take too long, ask them for a gas grill. I plan to stay here when in town. read more

I know it seems like a crazy place to be.... Middle of nowhere in a canyon in Utah... but if you've seen their videos, if you've seen others traveling to it I can tell you Ofland Escalante (formerly Yonder Escalante) lives up to all of my expectations. I've been twice, the first time under a different resort name. Nothing changed besides the swimming pool backdrop used to be cream and now it's painted dark green I think to match the trees and earthy background. I will warn that if you get a cabin or even an airstream there may be times you'll have to walk a good distance to get to the main lounge area, in my case it's not a problem but just an fyi! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful in any hikes you may want to plan during your stay or extra accommodations you might need or are looking for. I say they could definitely use a pool table in their outdoor lounge for some extra fun, but it's a great place to socialize with other travelers and share hike experiences which is what they center around. Rooms are clean and modern and you can't forget about the classic car drive in which takes the evening reigns after a long day out! Make sure you get a car spot early, hope you enjoy your stay there... I'll definitely be making this place a routine stay!! read more

An awesome new retro campsite/cabin property located in beautiful canyon country in southeastern Utah! Situated in remote Escalante, it provides a convenient and refreshing gateway to recreation in The Grand Staircase and Capitol Reef. They offer campsites, cabins and Airstream campers, depending on your preference for level of luxury. Our cabin was outfitted with A/C, a queen-sized bed, bathroom with outdoor rain shower and a small kitchen. An adjoining fire pit and picnic table provided a great outdoor space for grilling and eating. We had parking adjacent to our cabin, making it very convenient to load and unload our stuff. The night skies are particularly stunning in this part of the state due to low light pollution. We loved the fresh, free coffee and Rice Krispie treats offered in the morning. The little market in the lobby was beautifully stocked with prepared and fresh foods, firewood, merch and even booze kits to put together your own cocktails! The pool and enormous jetted hot tub were a delight after a tiring day of walking around. They even have a drive-in movie theater populated with antique cars you can sit inside. Prices are definitely steep, especially for a small town in Utah (pop. 800)---we paid roughly $400 a night for our cabin. However, the experience was unique and darling! We loved our little adventure in Escalante! read more

We stayed in the Deluxe Cabin that comes with a queen size bed, fold out sofa bed, a fridge, a microwave, private bathroom, outdoor shower, and firepit. They even have a drive-in movie theatre every night, pool, and laundry. We tried their DIY Steak Meal Kit, and it was fire! Booked a night here for my wife's birthday and we were both super happy with it! We stayed in an airstream trailer, it was retro and fun and super clean and comfortable. And the "outdoor" shower was beyond my expectations! It's not really outdoors, it had an open roof, so no worries about privacy, and the shower was amazing. The drive in movie theater was fun and the food truck breakfast was better than I thought it would be (the breakfast sandwich was crazy good). Well.... We just got home from a place we did not want to leave! What a cool experience Ofland was. We always camp in our camper, but this time we "glamped"! We have camped all across Utah and just have never made it to Escalante. My girlfriend got us a couple of nights here at Ofland for something different. We did some hiking with our dogs and really enjoyed our stay here! They are very dog friendly and the grounds are kept up nice and welcoming. We stayed in an Airstream. One of a few different ways to stay and experience this amazing place. The have a small drive in where you can watch older films in cool style cars, and enjoy the comforts of them cooking for you with the food trailer, and or food kits you can take and cook by your cabin. This place sparks joy! Located approximately 3 mins from the adorable little town (VERY little) of Escalante, it is modern, hip, friendly and gorgeous. I've now stayed here two times and plan to return. This year I'm in an Airstream which added to the nostalgic feel. From here I've hiked Spooky and Peekaboo and also the Escalante River Trail. Someone comments that they're far away from the property, but they didn't feel it to me. It IS far away from Bryce if that's your main target. Great food options nearby including fancier places like North Creek Grill or you can enjoy salads and pizza at Escalante Outfitters. Last night they played Karate Kid at their drive-in movie theatre and I almost cried at the choice. It's just pure awesomeness. read more

So out there but in a good way. The drive alone was worth it. Everyone was super friendly. The staff was amazing. The food truck was great. The drive in movie was amazing. We stayed in the cabin and it was Divine. We will definitely be back. We enjoyed our 1 year wedding anniversary here and even though we didn't have our own restroom it was totally worth it. The bathroom and showers were clean. The outdoor sitting area was clean and warm. The jacuzzi was huge and the pool was too. I wish the pool was heated but it wasn't that bad. Don't want a cabin? They have campers and trailers as well. We had the deluxe cabin that slept 4 comfortably. Nice deck, outside private shower with a heater and big bench. This place is definitely worth the stop if you're driving through Escalante! They have RV site, airstreams, and mini cabins available for nightly rent. We stayed in one of the cabins, and it was worth every penny. Our grand total was just over $300, but I would stay here again in a heartbeat. The beds are luxurious, and each cabin comes equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, electric kettle, and coffee & tea bags. There is also an AC unit and a front patio with table and chairs. It's a great spot for a romantic getaway! There is no bathroom in the cabin itself, but the bath houses are incredible! They have several individual outdoor showers and individual toilets. I truly felt like I was at a spa. They also have a very cute check-in area and general store. They have a nice patio outback where they serve complimentary muffins, fruit, and coffee & tea. The bacon & cheddar cornbread muffins with homemade hot honey was a great start to my morning. They also have an outdoor pool and hot tub, another great spot to relax after your adventures. Staff was very friendly and helpful! They will take you to your cabin in a golf cart, and the whole resort is very pet friendly! Great glamping spot! There are a lot of different amenities. If you have never camped before they make it very easy for you. There is a food truck that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's a pool and hot tub and a drive-in movie theater. They have dinner kits that have everything you need to make dinner, down to the salt and pepper. They provide wood for the fire pit as well. They have great common areas to take a break in and enjoy a game or drink. They have a few complimentary breakfast items and cold water available all day. We stayed in a deluxe cabin and my family of 4 was very comfortable. However, the beds were too soft and the pillows were lacking as well. I would not suggest staying here with the purpose of hiking. It is at least a 30/45 minute drive to some of the popular hiking trails of Bryce and other parks nearby. There are places to stay closer to town. The hikes are even further if you are hiking with kids and don't want to hike more than 4 miles. The town of Escalante is a cute VERY small town with limited options if you were wanting to roam about. All things considered, I would definitely camp here again. read more

This is just what you need when you're exploring the desert and need to get out of the sun and the wind for a few days. It would also make a fun destination unto itself. I stayed in a tiny cabin. It lived larger than its small footprint. It included comfortable linens, nice decorations, great views, beautiful light, warm comfy decor, a mini fridge and microwave, even a little couch to sit on. It also included nice touches such as fire starter and matches for the fire pit outdoors. The Wi-Fi connected well. The pool and hot tub were delightful! Outdoor lighting was conscientiously pointed at the ground allowing you to enjoy the starlight at night. The communal bathhouse was beautiful, spa-like as advertised, and included nice lotion, shampoo, even additional hygiene products in the women's bathroom. So thoughtful. There are plenty of fresh towels, and the staff is constantly cleaning and making the place tidy and sparkling. The staff were extremely friendly. My only complaint was that the coffee was very weak and not that tasty. The breakfast was rice crispy treats, which feels a little cheap. And the $10 resort fee, which is an add-on that they don't tell you about. I hate that people are doing that now, just tacking on an extra $10 a night. Why not just say that the price is 169 per night rather than 159 and then sneak in an extra $10? It feels dishonest. Aside from that I would recommend this place for sure. The overall vibe is young and hip, with lots of attention to detail and comfort. I would definitely stay here again. I recommend bringing your own coffee and a way to make it. read more

The campground was so cool! Very modern with lots of luxuries. Large pool and hot tub, drive in movies are things you don't typically expect when you go to a campground. We rented a Tent/RV spot which was pretty pricy for what we got. It was all rocky road and no tent pitching spots. This place is insane. We only booked one night in one cabin and put the kids in an Airstream, but wished we'd stayed longer. The staff were so great. You can text them during your stay and they zip over in a golf cart to help you with luggage, drop off bed linen or take you to the pool. The place has just opened so there were a few teething issues but nothing that stopped us enjoying our stay. Here are some specifics.... The cabins are just lovely. Clean, bright, extremely comfortable. The bed is super soft. There's a day bed if one of your annoying offspring insist on sleeping in your room. The curtains give privacy but not darkness in the morning. It got me up to enjoy a sunrise (in peace, as it happens, as sluggardly offspring stayed in bed), which was a true pleasure. Breakfast is simple but adequate. The coffee tends towards the authentic weak cowboy brew rather than the strong overpriced pretentious stuff I'm used to. That's just an observation rather than a complaint, and reflects more on me than the lodge. The breakfast items we purchased were great. The bathrooms are spectacular. The outdoor showers are beautiful. One thing... if you shower after dark there are quite a few insects - some big ones - and our group was divided on our feelings about this. The bug zapper is firing nineteen to the dozen, sounds like the frantic telegrapher on the sinking Titanic. I'm not a fan of bugs. Wife doesn't mind them. My daughter thought there were bats picking off stray insects but she has quite an imagination. Anyway, you can shower during the day outside OR they have equally nice showers inside the lodge, so no prob if you're as big a wuss as me. Everything about this place is delightful. We didn't try the dinner packs - you cook them on your own fire - out of laziness's after a long drive, but I have no doubt they're great too. Summary: stay here. read more

This place is awesome! Stayed in the cabins on a girl's trip and didn't want to leave. The facilities are super clean and have everything you could want or need, gourmet snacks and premade sandwiches togo. The gathering area/patio was my favorite part, aside from chatting every morning over coffee with the lovely Christina, you got to meet other guests and exchange hiking info. At night, we played cards, drank wine, ate smore's and watched movies at the drive-in theater on site, it was so much fun. This place was so amazing! Glamping at its finest I'd assume (I've never been glamping before yonder). Super pet friendly, nice tiny cabins, beautiful bath houses, HUGE hot tub and pool, plus it's right between Bryce and Capitol Reef. The community area was my fav part, lots of sitting areas and two gas fireplaces (altho one was not working 70% of the time we were there). We met so many cool guests and it was a great way to learn what sight or hike we should do next. Escalante itself has amazing places to hike. We did the petrified forest and devils garden. Both were mid boggling. I only wish we had more time, there was so much more that I wanted to see. Yonder has a fun old school drive in theatre with 9 cars set up to watch the movie in. We went an hour early to secure a car and we weren't the only ones! Many people were stuck with the bleachers or just left so make sure you get your car way ahead. The men loved hanging out and discussing the cars so it wasn't an hour wasted by any means. Free over salted popcorn and drinks and candy at a cost available. Breakfast was rice crispy treats, apples, and oranges, and not so great coffee, likely due to the terrible "filtered" water they offer. So the breakfast was quite lacking, no biggy it is glamping after all. All of the property had tiny stones on the ground that always caught in our sandals, so be aware of that. All in all we had a fantastic time and will return, but we are assuming this place may raise their prices quickly as they get more popular, and we paid $229 per night for 3 nights starting Monday. Also bring a cooler and go to a regular grocery store before you arrive. The cook yourself meals offered there were $70+ for 2 and didn't look worth the expense. There was a food truck, but luckily we brought our own food and were easily able to BBQ on the propane grill provided for the community. Bring paper places and plastic wear top! We just returned from our 3 night stay in an airstream here and miss it already! This was our first camping trip of the season and our puppy's first trip and it could not have been better. First, the surroundings are gorgeous and the drive there and back were absolutely stunning. From the moment we booked our trip we experienced top level service, receiving prompt responses to our emailed questions. They also text you with information and you can text with anything you need during your stay making it super easy to get help when needed. The airstream is super spacious, clean and updated beautifully with nice touches like fully functional heat and ac, your own coffee and tea, microwave and day bed plus queen size bed. The on site bathrooms were gorgeous, spa level and the outdoor showers were soooo relaxing. We went on a hike to the petrified forest and were so pleased that it was literally 3 minutes away from us. This place is super dog friendly and our pup made so many friends during his stay, the staff even remembered his name and would greet him when they saw him out and about. The employees were truly exceptional, helping us with our bags and driving us via golf cart to make it easy to get settled. We purchased one of their meal kits and were blown away, it was delicious and came with everything we needed for a campfire meal to remember. They also had cocktail kits,so cute! We stayed in 2 airstreams. Bathrooms: very clean and well appointed. Spa like. They even included dyson blow dryer and hair straightener, feminine products, etc. just gorgeous. Airstreams: very bright. Hard to manage the locks (they are old, but were tricky). Not much privacy with white curtains that don't sit close to the windows. Beds were super comfy. Like really comfy. There were ants and hair around the base molding. That was a bit gross but of course you are kind of roughing it. Lodge: very posh. Enjoyed drinking coffee by the outdoor fires. Food truck: food was good that we got there. Reasonable prices. Campfire dinner kit: we purchased 2 steak kits. For the most part it was good. Not enough food for the money though. Steaks were a bit tough (cooked to medium). The s'more kit should have been doubled. Just 2 marshmallows seems silly. Outdoor movies: very neat touch with free popcorn. Only request would be to clean the cars out. We went to sit in one that had dog hair all over the seat. Pool/hot tub: kind of basic but still very nice for glamping. Was clean and had a huge hot tub. My hat"s off to Yonder Escalante. This place is very cool! We are four out on the great American camping trip and we stopped here for a night of some luxuries and laundry. The cabin was nicely appointed and the AC was fierce. We were here on a Friday so we watched a movie at the drive in from the seat of a Rambler and had popcorn and snacks from the concession. My wife and daughters could not stop talking about the outdoor showers, which were beautiful as well as warm and wet. All of the facilities are well kept, and the staff is very helpful. A final note, they use text messages to communicate with all the guests and it really works well. Although we did not use them this time, there are many great camping spots with hookups. Definitely a return prospect in our future. read more

Look Yonder, Look Yonder! Yonder Escalante is a truly incredible place to spend time with friends and loved ones. My brother, niece, their sweet pup, my partner, and I recently spent time in Yonder celebrating my partner's "surprise" birthday weekend and it was fantastic! From the natural beauty surrounding the grounds, to the spa-like facilities, retro entertainment, complimentary breakfast on the veranda, and cozy accommodations, it did not disappoint! The staff was beyond helpful from beginning to end. Wonderfully communicative - taking their time to make our time in Yonder truly special and personalized. They were professional, friendly, engaging, and so knowledgeable regarding the surrounding area - giving us recommendations for near-by reservoirs and hikes. The Airstreams are SO FUN to stay in. And so very, very comfortable. There are also beautiful and bright cabins to rent. Keep your nights free for star-gazing and a drive-in movie! Sit in one of the classic cars on property (or bring a blanket and lay on the roof, which my niece loved!) and enjoy being in the "middle of nowhere" and still having all you need. We're already excited to return to Yonder Escalante! Looking forward to being back in that beautiful part of UT and seeing the staff who became friends throughout our birthday planning and stay.
