This Officeworks is a large store for the middle of the city. It seems to have a larger range of…read moreproducts and a very large print and copy section. However, when compared to Clarence Street store, there is minimal staff working and therefore the service is slow. I have experienced different levels of service here depending on the time of day. If you come early enough, before 9 am there is no reason to wait for copy services or to be served.

It's spacious well-lit and clean and as you enter there is a staff member there to greet you and ask you whether you need any assistance to find what your looking for in its vast depository of paper, pens, stationery and electronics. There are a lot of photo terminals towards the rear of the store (these do get popular during the lunch time rush so my advice is take advantage of its early opening hours and do your photo processing before work). One annoying thing is the haphazard way people are attended to at the printing/photo area. During peak times there should be a dedicated person looking after photo customers rather than also attending to customers wanting printing done (as these always take the longest to serve). Staff are always friendly and will approach you if you look like you are trying to find something (rather than running away at first eye contact). This Officeworks gives me the same exhilaration I get when I drive into the carpark of my local Bunnings hardware store - the only thing missing is the community sausage sandwich stand out the front.
