Went into Office Max in Juneau AK to buy an adapter for a SD chip, looking to see if we could find lost photos on a Samsung. Elvira was very helpful in getting us what we needed but then she went above and beyond when she referred us to Ian their tech support guy. He was super helpful and knowledgeable! He was not only able to find the lost pictures, but he was able to get them back on the phone for us!!!!! We walked in wondering if we would see the pictures again and walked out with all the pictures restored! Would highly recommend this store! Great service! Thank you Elvira and Ian!! read more

This is the 3rd time I have been in the local store and been treated horribly. At checkout I told the gentleman cashier I needed to give him my email as I had forgotten the phone number associated with my loyalty account. He told me that wouldn't work. I told him I have been using the email address method for 5 years and could he ask someone for guidance on how to enter it. He yelled at me "DONT TELL ME HOW TO DO MY JOB" At this point I requested a manager and he dropped his radio and yelled, "SON OF A BITCH". When the manager came and showed him how to enter my email address, I expressed what had transpired. She said "Ill talk to him. No apology, nothing. At the very least an "I'm sorry you had a bad experience in our store today. The cashier just stood behind the manager glaring at me. In the age of covid and post covid, employers should be teaching employees common courtesy and customer service skills. I will be ordering from Amazon in the future instead of trying to support the local office max. read more

I was really disappointed in the customer service. I ordered a computer from there and had to return it because it was bad. I was told that a replacement would be shipped from another store that week. It never showed up and I was told repeatedly that they would check on it or it was on its way. I truly believe that this was lip service and minimal effort was put in to rectify the situation. Only after the store manager got involved did I get my new machine five weeks from the original purchase date. This store will be my last stop, if at all, for future office supplies. read more
