I had a good previous experience with this location - but oh, that was then. This is now. Every year I design and print photo calendars for my family: five in total. I spend a lot of time and money on them (paper and ink jet cartridges are NOT cheap). The only thing I need done when I'm finished is to have them bound with simple, spiral wire along the top. I had been going to the Staples at I45/Cypresswood for binding, but when I drove over recently to have the calendars bound, I discovered Staples had closed permanently. So, due to my previous good experience here (along with the location since I was already in the area), I swung over to Office Depot. I should have kept driving back home. Line was super long when I came in at about 1:20 in the afternoon. No one else in the store except everyone waiting at the copy center, with sadly only one employee manning that area. Finally my turn, explain what I want done. Leave my name and phone number and I'm told they'll call me when complete, but because I got here before 2 PM, they would be ready the same day. Price went up - nearly $5 per binding! Shocked about that, but, whatever . . . At 6:30 PM, I hadn't received a call. Call them. Not done yet! But they will be ready by 7, or so they said. Decided to pick them up the next day, but I figured I would get a confirmation call that the job was complete. No call. Ever. Drove by the next morning and waited in line a good 20 minutes just to pick these up, because once again there was a huge line and only one person working. Oy vey! Last time I'll be coming here. While they did get them done correctly, multiple other factors have convinced me I need to go elsewhere next year. read more

Just came by right now to get print labels , usually it's never really too packed but today it was in the printing labels line. It was quite busy because the line started to kind of wrap around. I'm patient because I'm not in a rush and the staff seemed to be overwhelmed because it was only two of them an African American man and a Caucasian lady. I was waiting for the man to print my label receipts to show that I dropped them off and the Caucasian lady was assisting another one, so she needed the register I was at. She told me if I could "move over or move to the side " because the lady needed to check out. I've never had a bad experience here because I come here quite often staff is usually nice , but this lady needs to learn some manners. She could've reworded her self by saying "excuse me ma'am I need to check someone out if you could please step to the side while you wait I'd appreciate it ." I've been in customer service so I know how to talk to people and maybe she needs a different job considering how rude she was. I don't know her name but I wanted it. So instead took a picture so hopefully a manager sees this review and pulls her to the side to correct her since she has no basic manners. :) read more

I drove to my local Office Depot in Odessa, TX to purchase a new printer for my office. I browsed the selection available and had questions I needed answered before making a purchase. I did not see any workers in the store other than a single cashier and an individual in their printing/shipping section. I stood in line for the cashier and when it was my turn I asked if he could tell me if they had a couple of the printers in stock elsewhere in the store. Mind you, I was the only customer left waiting for the cashier, I was not holding people up! The cashier did not answer me he just gets on his walkie to ask if they have Brother printers in stock. I said, "no, I need specific models looked up." He then tells me where I can find them. I said, "no, I have already looked on the aisle. I need to know if they are in stock in another area of the store or in the back." He stares at me with a blank look, so I said, "I need someone to help me in the printer section." He gets on his walkie and calls for help in the printer section. I walk back over to the printer section and wait. Needless to say, I never saw an Office Depot employee, my questions were not answered, so I left and spent my $2,000.00 at Quill. Don't waste your time going to Office Depot unless you need basic office supplies like highlighters, paper and pens. I have a business acct with OD and this copy print center totally did not deliver the services needed. I had sent in a large print order & spoke to Will. He asked I email the file and he would get it started to be picked up 2 days later. To my dismay the person picking up the order was in a panic as she was on her way to a meeting where the color copies were needed. This was a $500+ order and they couldn't find the file or the order!?!? I left all my info and didn't get a courtesy call nor confirmation as requested. I went to print off my son's birthday party invites after trying CVS and them coming out horribly. I was dreading spending so much money but I wanted them to look good so I went to Office Depot. I had amazing customer service (I wish I could remember her name, she was excellent) and it ended up being about a third of what I was expecting price-wise. I will always use them in the future for my printing needs, I was very impressed. Just waited 30 minutes in the Printing Dept. I was never acknowledged and then they took a customer that had dropped something off and left before me. I called to talk to John, the manager, turns out he was the one who took the other customer before me. When I called to tell him how he could improve service and my experience, all I got was apologies. Not the way to run a business. I have spent a lot of money here in the past but will not be back. I went to the second copier and after the first copy it jammed. I followed the instruction but couldn't get it to work. Looked 10 minutes for someone that could help -- no one. I tried to cancel the job but couldn't. Went to the counter and one employee trying to help two customers. Again looked around the store for help --- no one.
