Went back Tuesday to try again, walking in seeing all the desks with signs on them that said "in stock and available to pick up today" i asked the representative about several desks i was interested in, checked and none was in stock. he did point to one that they had in stock (not the complete desk but a piece) i said ok i will take it ( i really needed a desk) i asked if i could receive at least a 10% discount, he said no, i said you are false advertising that you have them in stock and i can take it home today, he said they where waiting on a shipment. i said a shipment to restock all your desks? i said that must be a few trucks worth, he just rolled his eyes at me. i left with a desk (not even close to the one i wanted ) paying full price and dissatisfied. will not go back, to bad office depot closed up.

If UPS ever needs a case study in how to turn a routine transaction into a hostage situation, this…read morestore is ready for the spotlight. I stopped here while driving from Fairplay to Amarillo with a few Amazon returns--something I've done dozens of times without incident. What followed was a comedy of errors, minus the comedy. The first employee informed me I'd need to tape my box shut (fair), then immediately offered to sell me tape. I mentioned I had some in my car, unloaded half my road trip to retrieve it, taped the box, and returned--only to be intercepted by Employee #2, who decided my package was unshippable because it bore a hazardous materials sticker. I explained it was the same box Amazon shipped to me in. She replied that even if I removed the sticker, she "couldn't unsee it." Apparently, this box had been permanently cursed by the memory of a sticker. So there I was--car unpacked, box taped, and somehow still trapped in UPS purgatory. The staff even reminded me, with pride, that they're "the only store in town." Nothing says "customer service" quite like weaponized monopoly power. I told them I'd take my business elsewhere--drove to Amarillo, handed over the exact same box, and watched it ship out in two minutes. No mention of sticker hauntings or safety breaches. This location deserves a mystery shopper, a reality TV crew, or maybe an exorcist. The behavior I encountered wasn't just rude--it was performatively unhelpful. If this is the standard UPS sets for "the only store in town," Pueblo deserves better.
