I met Josh at the Ridgely Road Office Depot this morning and am pleased to say that he is right on top of customer service. He made sure I found everything that I needed and followed up with helping me find the right size envelopes that I was searching for and also an Academic Wall Calendar. He is smart, aware of everything going on and he takes the time to offer assistance as needed, without breathing down your neck. Went to this location to complete TSA precheck. The man in charge of this was terribly rude. He said we needed an appointment which is fair but we tried to call ahead and ask that and schedule online and it was not easily accessible. He said make an appointment online but we have no availability today. We finally figured out how to schedule online, and they had a ton of availability.. avoid this place and the rude staff. read more

Go somewhere else for self service printing. The two machines rarely work and to find the document to print is like pulling teeth.

Just moved here to TN, needed a desk and chair to set up my home office. Serached online first then went to closest store. Good customer service and attitude, the guy showed and explained the different types. They had the items in stock, which seems to be a real challenge for businesses today. I've always been more of a Staples shopper, but I ran out of ink and found that Staples couldn't get it in stock for days. On a whim I checked Office Depot and not only did they have in stock, but it was far less expensive. I ordered online and opted for pickup at the Ridgely Road location. Within just a few minutes, I received a text saying that my order was ready. When I got to the store, it was fairly busy, but the staff was hustling and I didn't even have to wait to speak with someone. The gentleman that helped me located my order within about ten seconds and in no time I was on my way. The folks were super friendly and extremely helpful. Since I was buying ink the cashier also told me about some of the perks of their recycling program. I think this will be my new go to for inkjet refills! read more

I just finished picking up the 700 paper copy job of the document that I uploaded to their online service. When I got the document there was a formatting/graphical air on every it's ration. Took them back and gave the copy pack a paper copy of it and asked her to reprint it, was she said she would. Then I got a call from the manager that said, "We printed it exactly as our digital file shows We'll give you a discount on reprinting the order, but we're not going to reprint it for free!" When I told her that I had double and triple check the formatting of that file before I uploaded it, everything was correct. She said that word files are known for having their formatting altered when being transmitted through their service. There was no warning on their website that if you had a document in a word format that you could expect formatting problems. There is no notice saying to upload your documents in a different or certain format to avoid formatting errors. Nothing of the kind. I spent over $60 on the copy job and they won't back up their work. they must've worked long and hard at developing their poor customer service. They will not get my business again nor anyone that I would ever recommend for their business. read more

I have been shopping at this store for several years. I received an email that I had a $20 reward that would expire on Nov. 30. I went in today, Nov. 21st to buy one ink cartridge. It was priced at $28.+ so I expected it only to cost me $8.+ I have always just given my phone number for them to enter my purchase and thereby increase my reward. When the man rang up my charge it did not reflect the $20 reward. I asked this man why the reward was not reflected and he told me that I must update my account. I told him that I did not have an account that I always paid for my merchandise. He was rather hateful and when I asked for someone else he told me to leave that he wasn't going to sell me the item. I asked his name and he told me he was Bill ________, the general manager and I was never to return to the store. I tried to complain to Office Depot corporate office but there was no way to complain. I will never shop in any Office Depot store and others should not expect courtesy. read more
