I went to this Office Depot location to get help printing a document. Having difficulty printing the doc, a "manager" had to assist me. His name was Shaun. When I asked for help, his response was, in a loud, argumentative voice "I don't have to assist you. It's self service. It's not my job to help you.I'm not here to help you." He actually screamed at a paying customer. I'm not sure how desperate Office Depot is in needing managers, but this rude, disrespectful POS does not fit the bill. (It has nothing to do with this review, but Shaun smelled like he hadn't bathed in about a month). To whoever runs this particular OD... customers will NEVER return with such abominable treatment. MOVE FORWARD TO THE NEXT LOCATION! Customers met with limitations. Services best fitting to customer was not offered. Horrible customer service. Simple print jobs turned complex and overpriced. No customer friendly faces in the print area. (Gentleman at the general checkout area did makd a difference) Misleading machines FORCING your self service work into (FULL SERVICE) (NO USB USE). No offer of front and back further in reading your print job prices. Request black and white only, color still used and charged for it. Process for copy and print full services was clearly shared upfront. Each step you found out after the fact. The cost was ridiculous as many I watched came into the store to use the self service machines identified with USB inserts and instructions of how to use the inserts (I took pictures) only to find out 30 minutes later as store associate watched while sipping on a drink as we're inserting credit card information for each machine and attempting to use 3 different machines with the USB that would never work. We get in line just to ask the question about the machine with the USB inserts and instructions, only for the store associate to smack lips and say "oh that's not going to work on those machines, you will need to come over here (counter) for that." Interestingly, I go to the counter, the store associate surprise me again by saying "yeh, this is going to now be full service at the counter." What! Due to timing, I am moving with the foolishness to get the job done but this is not ok. Store associate builds up the prices, prints receipts, and says go to another counter across the way to pay and she will begin printing. After payment was made and we returned with receipt, store associate surprise me again and states "yeh now I will do the printing." I am furious! You haven't printed the simple job? What! Now the more waiting for a simple job that could've been completed on the machines myself in less than 10 minutes. (No exaggeration) Store associate begin the printing, only to return to me 8 minutes later and tell me she now have to go on the floor to find more of the same paper I asked for the job to printed on since the simple print job elevated to another level due to inefficiency of the location. Unbelievable! To save time and the moment of telling this store location something unkind, I asked the store associate to please print the remaining pages on your available paper accessible to you. God knows if she goes on the floor, if she would get lost or how long that would take to return. (Sigh) Horrific, unnecessary, unprofessional, and far from customer centered. Actually, pretty good service. In 2024 sometimes I'm surprised when I actually get good service. I did it Office Depot the clerk was friendly and accommodating. I also needed to return something and had no problem whatsoever. That's a big plus at any retail organization. read more

Being a chain operation, I would have thought all of my shopping experiences at any Office Depot would be the same. However, that hasn't been the case, not at all. For example, the Office Depot on McNab which I've visited some 14 times because it is nearby, is downright horrible. It has the very worst of customer service, ease of checkout and what should be polite friendly manners. I gave it a low One Star. On the other hand, there is an Office Depot located on Federal which I've also visited a number of times that has a really good helpful friendly service staff and a much better ease of checkout. I gave it a Four Star rating for what it is, an office supply store. As for this particular Office Depot I stopped by to purchase a 100+G jump drive and as cell phone batter pack. As soon as I entered the store, I was given a nice greeting. I told the gentlemen what I was looking for and he was more than delighted to help me. When selecting the jump drive he even went out of his way to recommend one that he considered better and less expensive than the one I was about to choose. So I'm happy to say this is, in my opinion, one of the better Office Depot stores, so Four Stars to it. read more

I have been sending documents to print at office depot for about two years. I only have a few and don't want to deal with a home printer. It is a convenient service to upload them to officedepot.com and then pick them up from the self-service station. Unfortunately, OD has been going downhill. Customer service is horrible primarily because they do not have enough people to help. Stay away on Saturday morning; one person is running the register and helping with the line at the print section. I'm now going to invest in a printer because time is more valuable to me than the purchase price. I won't be purchasing my printer from OD because, like all other big box stores, they have no inventory. Going into OD reminds me of Jurassic Park. read more

I had a great experience here. I need to fax some papers for my daughters financial aid and of course she waited until the last minute to tell me so off we hurried to Office Depot. I was pleasantly surprised to see a 20 % off coupon pop up when I checked in on Yelp. An associate helped us send the documents and they even offer a free cover letter. With the coupon it was $4 to fax the two pages. When we checked out the line was stopped by a gentleman taking an exceedingly long time checking out with a pair headphones. My usual complaint about Office Depot is that they never have enough registers open. After seeing that we were stuck the associate who assisted us with the faxing jumped on a register and started clearing the line. I would definitely come back to this location if I had other printing needs. read more

I have been shopping at this store for years, so I decided to finially write a review. I like this location because it's close to my home and the employees are very knowledgeable about their inventory. I'm holding back the fifth star because the phone system is terrible. The employee will answer the phone and then either transfer you to the department you need or the call will get disconnected during the transfer process. Very aggravating, but honestly this is my only complaint. The store is organized and the employees are very eager to help. Alyshia Rego is the Print Services Manager, and she is extremely helpful. Her department is flawless and Alyshia will go above and beyond to help you with your printing needs. Office Depot is located in the Pepper Tree Plaza, located on the SE corner of 441 and Sample Road. They are just a few stores down from LaBamba. I placed 2 orders for a blue prints yesterday and the time to pick up was for 2 days. I had an emergency on my job site and i went there to see if they could helped me at least with one order. I arrived there and the store was with no custumers, the people from printer center was talking to each other because there was no custumer. then I asked the guy if he could helped me with one of my order since there was nobody there and the printer was completelly available. He was already saying that he couldn't do it because the system wouldn't alowed etc. which its not true because i went there before and got helped with the same issue. Since I notice that he just didin't want to help me, I asked for the manager, they went back and started look for my order and at the end of story he said that my order would be ready at 7:30pm (it was 4pm) because that is not a fast thing and the manager said the same excused. I told them that was not true because I went there before and didn't even wait more than 10 minutes to get my plans, but the manager said that it takes time bc they have to do it and assist custumers at the same time. And the whole time that was no custumer there at all! So clearly they don't care about customers! A good store they do everything they can to help a customer. If they were busy I wouldn't ask for anything but, it was not the case. read more

I'm so sad there are no chairs in here I am handicapped and I have a handicap sticker and I can't stand up very long I went to mail a package to return it and I couldn't stand up long enough I left it with the man and went to have lunch next-door and came back I gave him $10 to pay for the transaction there was one chair was very high and flimsy and if I would have climbed up on it I would have fallen off I am tired of not getting handicap treatment I will never ever go into that store again shame on them for taking out all their chairs they should just wipe a chair down one chair every day like everybody else in the world. I went there looking for tech support. Only to find out that there wont be any one there until 3. I ask for manager to see if maybe he can help me, nope he tells me that he is sorry that the tech person is sick. I said maybe he should tried to find someone to come in to fill the sick persons shift. he said he has someone coming in at 3 so i should come back. I said then give me my money back. he said no cause I downloaded it i could not do that. so a nice lady told me about a place a cross the way that could help me. which they did. this manager was rude. 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed Policy? Not true at all! I had a poster printed at the Office Depot on Sample Road, and I chose higher quality paper. My original digital copy of the poster was in excellent condition, but the resulting poster was lacking in quality and had blurry portions. The supervisor refused to offer even a partial refund or to reprint the poster. In the future, if I need something printed, I will take it elsewhere. read more

I don't know why I keep coming back to this Office Depot. Every time no one ever wants to help you and when you do ask for help they look at you like they don't even know what you're talking about. They just remodeled the store it looks very nice. The the management team is very unprofessional specially Dot the manager on duty tonight. The poor girl working the copy center was very nice. But she was a drowning in the weeds with customers and there was no one there to help her The manager on duty Dot would not come and help. Until the customer spoke up and said something. She was very unprofessional. I waited 30 minutes for four copy's. Very sad... I think that Dot should go back to training and learn how to speak to customers the right way. If I could give 0 stars, I would. Every time I need something printed, this store disappoints! I needed a printing project done yesterday. I ordered online and received an email stating it would be ready by 5pm. I hear nothing from the store, so, I walk in after 5:30 and ask about the status. They hadn't even started yet and told me very dryly and dismissively, "We haven't even started it yet. Check back tomorrow." And, walked away from me. I angrily called the associate back and said "Can you at least tell me WHEN it SHOULD be ready tomorrow considering that I placed the order this morning??" He said they'll call me. So... Tomorrow comes (today) and half the day passes with no word from them. I call AGAIN and after being on hold for 15 min, the associate asks for my number and she's call me back in 5 min... 5 min turned into an hour and a half before I called back...to be out on hold for another 15 min....to be picked up and put on hold again for another 10 min...to tell me they haven't started it yet AGAIN. I demanded to cancel the order and get a refund because I needed this print job YESTERDAY and now over half the NEXT DAY has passed and you STILL haven't even started?!? I will never use these people again. Sad because they're practically around the corner from me. Seems I have to drive out of my way to find good customer service elsewhere! Found a postal scale I wanted to buy at officedepotdotcom web site priced at 49.99 (regular price not a sale or clearance item) web site also said it was in stock at the Margate Store. So I hopped on over to find the scale on the shelf and priced at $99.99. I inquired with one of the clerks on the descrepency in the price, after doing some research onine and on her computer and in fact verifying the scale on the web site and the one in the store were one in the same she sold it to me for $49.99. Several days later I walked into their shipping center with a one pound box (weighed on my newly acquired scale) wishing to mail it by priority mail from Margate to Pemproke Pines, I had already checked the USPS web site and knew that it should cost $6.85, however the clerk told me the cost for this service would be $9.80. When I asked why it shouldn't be $6.85, she just told me that the $9.80 was the only option for USPS Priority, then she started to suggest Fedex but I had already had enough, off to the Post office and mailed my package for $6.85. Two experiences in four days that left me feeling not good about coming back to this store. How many people would have mailed that package at nearly 50% above the fair price? How many people have walked in and paid a 100% premium for that scale. I really doubt that I will ever step foot in this store again, but if I do, I will not be shopping, I will already know what I want and how much it is supposed to cost. read more

I don't think I've ever been treated so rudely by a retail employee. The stress must have gotten to her, unfortunately that's no excuse. I almost never wrote bad reviews but this one warrants it. Would love to complain about the employee but unfortunately when I asked their name I was told it doesn't matter. Shame on me the customer for trying making a mistake with my order. Not like it was anything specific, a box of paper. Apparently if you get charged for a pickup order that they tell you will cancel if you don't come get it, and two weeks later it has not, well then your only option is to call your bank. Zero assistance. Too busy to check because they said it's my problem? Mind you, this was after trying to correct the online order with customer service only to be told call the store. Customer service in their print department leaves much room for improvement. Half their self-service copiers were out of service , including those which would accept my thumb drive. After waiting in line, my rep finished half my job, then helped another customer, then directed a free rep to assist a new customer instead of me. Frustrating! read more
