It has a lifetime warranty if I bought directly from manufacturer. Took forever for my chair to arrive. About 2 months, had the same issue that many others did where tracking info was sitting at "preparing to ship" for a long time. I wasn't too worried about that and was patient. Chair arrived in good condition, though it was partially assembled, leaving me to believe it was a used/refurbished chair. A couple months after receiving the chair one of the arms had the covering start to flake off, exposing the foam padding underneath. This is obviously a manufacture defect, as the other arm is perfectly fine. I have attempted to contact them 3 different times now. I have yet to receive a response. Upon arrival, the chair had a missing wheel. Contacted their customer support and they were willing to send additional wheels. It was all fine here. However, it all went downhill from here. I decided to return the chair, because the style didn't fit well with the rest of my office. Before I made the purchase, I made sure that they provide free returns, including the returning shipping fee. I checked USPS/FedEx/UPS, and the cheapest shipping costs $300. I asked the customer service if they have resources/recommendations to cheaper shipping options. No. I asked again - my shipping fee will cost a lot; are they sure they will cover it 100%? And the answer was positive. So I proceeded with the return process. Shipped my chair back, and emailed customer support with my order number, and a receipt of shipping fee. Bought a Steelcase Leap V2 a couple months ago, and today I noticed the back has completely come apart - they stapled the fabric to the foam with normal staples! My experience with this company is really bad. 1) I purchased the chair on December 18, 2022, and received the chair on March 4, 2023. For two months, the delivery status of the item had been "Preparing shipping" without any update. I inquired twice about shipping to the customer service, but it was not helpful. 2) The chair (that I paid $899 and I have waited for more than two months) is not a new item! I ordered a chair a month ago on 4/16 and the chair has not yet shipped till now. They shared the tracking number but it always shows that UPS has not received the package. The two stars gave to the lady who responded my emails promptly but every time the answer I got was that my order is scheduled for "this week". Also the website tried to educate their customers that it is a long process to assemble each chair. The gold Humanscale Freedom chair arrived today. This chair appears to be used/well worn and damaged. There are several scuff marks, the paint is missing from all the base legs as though it was repainted and then worn off. The soft roller casters were not included and the casters on the chair were worn. It was just thrown into a box and poorly protected for transit. I thought I ordered a new chair, not used? Buyer beware of this company, they are representing the products as new on the website and then shipping used items. My order was placed Dec 6, 2021 and the first chair arrived today Jan 20, 2022. If I could give it a zero, I would! I received the chair damaged during transportation. I immediately reported the problem to the vendor that, instead of filing a claim with fedex and helping me getting a replacement chair, put all the work on me. Because of the damage during transportation, the chair cannot be used: the cylinder sticks out (and scratched my hardwood floor when I took the chair out of the box to check it, as instructed by the vendor). And the base has deep scratches and the cover of the mechanism does not click back into place. The vendor told me I would have to figure out how to send it back and pay the shipping costs, so I accepted the vendor's offer of replacement parts. Today I received a new base and cylinder, without any instructions on how to replace them. I watched videos on youtube, and my husband and I tried to remove the cylinder without any success. It is a refurbished chair and the cylinder is stuck in place, we cannot manage to dislodge it. I'm now involving paypal, and see if I can get help with having the box picked up (it doesn't even fit in my car) and the shipping costs covered. What a pain to deal with Office Chair @ Work! My saga with OCAW began last Christmas, where I purchased a Herman Miller chair at a steep discount with free shipping "within 5-14 business days." A month later the chair hadn't been shipped, at which point I reached out through their customer service portal to see when the product would be shipped. They responded with a Dropbox screen shot indicating that Herman Miller was experiencing delays at the factory (never mind that the chair they sold me, as they reminded me later on, was "restored") and with a FedEx tracking number that I could refer to for when the item would become available (remember: FedEx! Keep that in mind!). Months later after multiple angry emails about delays, OCAW finally shipped me a chair via UPS (not FedEx! The original FedEx tracking number is still, almost a year later, listed as "Label Created" having never been shipped). Needless to say, the chair was simply unusable: not only had it incurred significant wear and tear ("we only promised that it would be shipped in restored condition, not in new condition"), but one of the wheels of the chair had broken beyond repair (seriously, I attempted to repair it with super glue, no dice). When I told them that I wanted a refund and that I would be disputing the purchase with my credit card company, they told me they would issue a refund only after they received the chair (while also threatening to "file criminal charges of possession of stolen property with your local police department and they will raid your place and you will face up to 10 years in prison" -- talk about customer service!). I sent the chair back and waited multiple weeks until the purchase was eligible to be disputed with my credit card company (OCAW never issued the refund they had promised). I only got my money back when the credit card company honored the dispute. To sum up: * chair was delivered late * customer service lied to me about delivery date and method * chair was delivered in unusable condition * customer service threatened me * company never issued a refund even after I returned the merchandise I hope you never ever ever I mean never do business with these scam artists, and I hope that if any of what I've described is criminally or civilly actionable that the people responsible for that behavior are brought to justice by the courts. read more

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! The chair they sent to me is obviously very old and also broken. The base of the seat is cracked and had been previously glued back together. I didn't realize it until it broke and it was after the 30 return period. They are claiming chairs are 'refurbished' but they are not that at all, they are junk, garbage, total crap. Website is misleading. Customer service is email only and snarky. Go to Better Business Bureau online and look them up, you'll see that there are MANY complaints of the same nature. Wish I did that first. Lesson learned and out $299. UPDATE: Customer service offered to send me a new seat. I had asked for a full refund or at least exchange the chair for a different one -and hope it's in better shape. Nope, they couldn't do it. They claim I bought and have been using the chair MANY, MANY months. I received it mid January, it's been 3.5 months. . Office Chair At Work has refurbished office chairs. If I could, I'd give 3.5 stars. The 1-800 number will request email to support and customer service is generic canned messages. Basically, you won't be able to talk to a person. I tried cancelling the order since I didn't need it anymore, but they shipped out anyway. Luckily, the Humanscale Chair was in good condition unlike many in the reviews. The chair back is a little loose, but if I can make the chair work well for a couple years, it'll be worth the refurbished price. If anything goes wrong within the 12 year warranty and they actually fix it, it'd be a plus. If not, I'll donate it for charitable deduction. You get what you pay for. I'd think of this place like cryptocurrency - don't spend more than you can afford to lose. read more

I ordered a Herman Miller Aeron (Used, Mineral, Size C, Fully Adjustable) for $999. I read some reviews and initially panicked and backed out of the order. After looking online a little more, I decided $999 was a fair price (not too high, not too low) for the used chair and to roll the dice given a lot of the reviews. The chair came in well packaged in bubble wrap and the box was fully intact. Chair looks to be in great condition from my first look over and I'm writing the review from it now. Functionality seems to all be there as well. Only reason for the 4/5 is the lead time before order & ship date, but they state that up front. I purchased what I thought was an overstock/return Haworth Zody office chair from this company. If you look at the ad, it notes that the chair usually sells for $1,299 but is on sale for $449. Now, this is buyer beware; if it looks too good to be true it certainly is. In this case only if you look at the "Additional Information" tab will you see that the Condition is "restored". Restored in this context means a dirty, broken chair with some crappy silver overspray on the base. Fraudulent company! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!... My story is just unfolding, but like many others I purchased a chair upwards to $700 dollars thinking it was a great buy. After 2 weeks since writing this, I wasn't able to get a response from them. I called, sent emails but nothing. I finally caved and called Paypal Credit to dispute the claim and issue a refund. After doing so I received an email Kaytlyn saying that she is unaware if the item status, provided a tracking # and said if the item is shipped, again they have no control, then too bad. I'll receive it. Which I'll then need to return. The tracking # says the label has been created... but it's just that... the chair hasn't been shipped anywhere. Later in the day, and this is where it gets a little weird, I just received an email from paypal saying that the seller, Office Chair At Work, posted a tracking # to them and that the seller had indeed shipped my item. However, the tracking # was not the original one for the item I purchased AND the date received was a prior date of the order. It was to some address in my city of course. But definitely not my home... and I do have video of that day as well... nothing was dropped off... question is how could they ship an order prior to my order date? That'll always bother me. I'm not sure if they're doing this to circumvent an investigation via paypal, or just mock me? Not sure. I hope to follow up to this review and clarify thing as they come to light. That's exactly what I did! They informed me that you submitted tracking documents to prove you delivered me a chair so they re-billed me and found the dispute in your favor. I then read to them the tracking number your company provided for my order (see screenshots on my original review which again, says pending and clearly proves no delivery took place) and the credit card company said that it wasn't the same tracking number you gave them...huh. Couple questions. 1. Why did you delete the tracking number from my order details on your website? (see screenshots attached to my review) Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that it proves you didn't hide the bodies well enough... 2. My credit card company said you submitted a tracking number saying you did in fact deliver me a chair. I never received a chair and it seems like they're under the impression I did so could you please share with me what shipping documents you provided to them to prove that? Tidbit for the folks reading out there - Other customers have reached out to me after reading my review saying they had the same issue with this vendor and are currently in chargeback dispute hell with their credit card companies as well. Keep in mind this company submits FORGED tracking documents to financial institutions to steal from consumers.
