I have not visited this location in person, but spoke to a customer service representative. She was…read morefriendly and very professional. I gave 4 stars because unlike the previous reviewer from 2022, IACE does NOT sell JR pass exchange vouchers in person at their Torrance office. They require you to purchase online from their IACE.com website and then you have to have the pass shipped to your home address and pay for that shipping. If you are in a time crunch in leave for Japan in a few days, you should just purchase the tickets in Japan or through the official JR pass website. FYI the fees are a bit higher if you purchase the passes in Japan or through the JR website.

Whenever I go visit my family in Japan, I always buy my airline tickets from IACE. As I elaborate…read morebelow, their prices are very competitive and their service is unparalleled. Fare prices: As it's expensive, I always do my homework: I check airfares online and call a couple of Japanese travel agencies in the US. Since 2008, I have only bought tickets from IACE when I travel to Japan. Japanese travel agencies tend to have better deals than airlines or other online venders, at least slightly. They also give you different rates for children, which I never get online (e.g., airlines webpages or other third party sites, like Kayak). I've always saved money buying tickets from them. Service: The agents are knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. As they are knowledgable, they can search for the best deals. Something unique about IACE is that they have a call center, which is open 24/7. Almost a decade ago, my son was hospitalized in Japan, and I had to change our tickets coming back to the US multiple times. As their call center is always open, I was able to call them without worrying about the time difference. Customer Care: When the big earthquake hit northern part of Japan in March 2011, we had planed a trip to Japan in the same month. As we were not sure if it's safe, we decided to postpone the trip (indefinitely). Under the special circumstances, we requested Delta Airlines to refund our money. They refused despite our multiple requests. IACE contacted the airline on our behalf, but they didn't budge. In the end, IACE Travel gave us back $100 per ticket out of their pocket. Although it was a fraction of what I had paid for the tickets, their gesture was priceless. Ever since, I'm a loyal customer of IACE! Recommendation: Their prices are very competitive. They also go above and beyond to help their customers. If you're planning on a trip to Japan, I strongly recommend you to give them a call. They'd be very happy to help you. They never pressure you to buy anything until you're ready. Unqualified 5 stars! ****************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. Thank you for having such an awesome employee to represent AAA. My CRV wouldn't start and I didn't know what was wrong. Could not pull up the display to show me what could be wrong. I got this car in 2020 and never experienced this problem. I was frazzled and stressed as I went to dentist and stopped by to pick up some food and couldn't start my car to get back to work. Thank you to your very kind, professional and helpful employee Raymundo Tello. He calmed me down, checked my battery and said after checking things out, the problem was my battery. He explained everything. I decided to get one. I was very impressed by him. I hope if I am ever in trouble that he is the one who gets to help me again. Thank ypu Raymundo. Got back to work safely. Went with this agency after reading about them on Reddit. We purchased the Essence of Spring |…read moreAnime Pioneer tour. This was our first time going to Japan. The communication with the agency and myself was minimal. For example they didn't see that I updated my address and sent the tour information to my old address instead. They did do the right thing and resent it to my new address. As for the tour, the hotel was a business one which was a bit awkward since we are tourists. Sadly the check in time was not until 3pm and was not able to accommodate our super early arrival. The hotel itself wasn't too bad except for the tobacco smell on the floor. Thankfully they had air purifier machines in the room itself. The breakfast buffet was a mix of European and Japanese breakfast food, so no US style breakfast unless you walk over to Mc Donalds/Cocos a block away from the hotel. Now the tour itself, too much to do and so little time. The tour guides are awesome, knowledgeable and friendly. There were places I wished they had in the tour like Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, Shinjuku/Kubuki-cho, Ikibukuro, Diver City, etc. There wasn't much time to shop in Akibahara and Shibuya. There was less time to see the Ghibli Museum since we got there an hour before it was closing. Thankfully myself and my son was able to hit up most of the places that I listed that was not in the tour on our own. Suffice to say, the trains was confusing to navigate so be aware of that if you plan on using their system (google maps was a life saver for the train system). There is Uber in Tokyo, but that is going through the Taxi companies which is expensive ($50 one way). I hope in the future that they can tweak their offerings and have more locations to go to in Tokyo ( Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, Shinjuku/Kubuki-cho, Ikibukuro, Diver City, etc.). In the long run, a week isn't enough time to stay, 1 1/2 to 2 weeks would have been better. Overall it was a decent trip, we had good memories of our time in Tokyo.

I have never actually booked a tour or plane ticket through them so I can't comment on that but at least for the visa service they are pretty fast and knowledgeable about the process. Moreover, even though it is mainly a Chinese place, they speak pretty good English and will be able to walk you through the process in English. I would recommend using them if you want to avoid the day-long wait at the embassy.

I got a tour of Beijing and shanghai, and added Guangzhou (the ancestral home) and Hong Kong. The trip to Hong Kong was a three day extension and was the only part of the trip I was dissatisfied with. Day 1 was spent in the Guangzhou airport waiting for a late afternoon flight so I didn't arrive in my HK hotel until after 5 pm. The next day was fine with a half day tour of HK and the rest of my day to myself. The next day I was on a bus to the airport before 9:00 am. So that "3" day extension was a total waste of money.

As someone who has gotten to know the whole Nonstop Travel team well through the years, I can…read moreassure you that when you book with them, you are in great hands! They are a small, but mighty team that love what they do, and take pride in their work. They work primarily with repeat clients and referrals, so their goal is to make sure you have an excellent experience, so that you not only book with them again, but that you also tell your friends and family about them. They are true experts of Europe and travel there multiple times a year! Of course they are familiar with big cities like Paris and London, but they can also suggest the smaller towns, the secret gems and the parts of Europe that many people don't even know exist. And while they all love Europe, they also each have their own favorite destination in other areas of the world that they can't get enough of. The best part about their team is their interests are all different; they all have their own favorite cruise lines, favorite destination and favorite travel style. And they don't just read about products and places they book, they go and experience them first hand. Chris, Jennifer, Yvonne and Eva are a dream team and I can truly recommend each of them

I've dealt with Eva at Nonstop Travel on 2 different occasions for Bachelors Parties arranged by…read moreothers, and each time the experience was nothing but misinformation, lack of follow up, and an attitude like she was doing us a favor. The point of having a travel agent is to reduce the stress and make traveling enjoyable, but with Eva at Nonstop travel the booking is a mission itself. We booked a cancun trip with her for 20 something people.... She did not give us the correct information. Here were the issues from the cancun booking... 1. We asked for options for resorts and she gave us the bare minimum info with lots of attitude. Anytime one of us called, she was rude and gave short answers. 2. We asked if some people could upgrade. She said yes and she put us in rooms with one king bed... After complaining that we needed two beds she told us the resort does not offer any upgrades with two double beds (after we had already booked the resort and had no way out) and that we had to get the regular rooms to get two beds. She mentioned that we can get a room with a view for a few dollars more so some of us chose the upgrade. 3. We booked rooms for all guys (bachelor party) and booked rooms with two beds... When we arrived all the rooms were two small beds connected together with one headboard (forgot to mention there were no rooms with separate beds) 4. We asked to book flights with upgrades... She said not possible... We asked to book flights with different times... She said not possible... 5. I Gave her my credit card info and told her to pay for my trip in full... Instead she charged only $200 then emailed me and said I had not paid... I called her and reminded her that I asked to pay in full she told me no I only charged the deposit... Told her to charge me the difference and two days later nothing... Called her back and said there is no charge and her response was I didn't charge because the other person hasn't made full payment yet. 6. A few people had emergencies come up and the people who were booked with them ended up having to pay more. 7. We booked flights with Delta to Cancun which is international... She forgot to mention no check in luggage was included and when I found out we had to pay fot bags I called her and her response was "I fly to Cancun every year and bags are never included." Overall her job was to coordinate the trip and we were the ones who had to constantly follow up with her.... We also tried to book a trip to Colombia with her and she basically asked us why we don't book it ourselves... So we did and had no issues. ** I gave two stars because we made it to Cancun and had rooms. I can't speak for Nonstop travel as a company but I can tell you I would not recommend Eva.
