Thank you for having such an awesome employee to represent AAA. My CRV wouldn't start and I didn't know what was wrong. Could not pull up the display to show me what could be wrong. I got this car in 2020 and never experienced this problem. I was frazzled and stressed as I went to dentist and stopped by to pick up some food and couldn't start my car to get back to work. Thank you to your very kind, professional and helpful employee Raymundo Tello. He calmed me down, checked my battery and said after checking things out, the problem was my battery. He explained everything. I decided to get one. I was very impressed by him. I hope if I am ever in trouble that he is the one who gets to help me again. Thank ypu Raymundo. Got back to work safely. Thank you again AAA for having a wonderful employee such as Raymundo. Maria N

The place is clean, the services are great, but they need more service agents, hence the four-star rating. Some of their staff seemed cranky as I could overhear other customers being addressed gruffly.

I have not visited this location in person, but spoke to a customer service representative. She was…read morefriendly and very professional. I gave 4 stars because unlike the previous reviewer from 2022, IACE does NOT sell JR pass exchange vouchers in person at their Torrance office. They require you to purchase online from their IACE.com website and then you have to have the pass shipped to your home address and pay for that shipping. If you are in a time crunch in leave for Japan in a few days, you should just purchase the tickets in Japan or through the official JR pass website. FYI the fees are a bit higher if you purchase the passes in Japan or through the JR website.

Whenever I go visit my family in Japan, I always buy my airline tickets from IACE. As I elaborate…read morebelow, their prices are very competitive and their service is unparalleled. Fare prices: As it's expensive, I always do my homework: I check airfares online and call a couple of Japanese travel agencies in the US. Since 2008, I have only bought tickets from IACE when I travel to Japan. Japanese travel agencies tend to have better deals than airlines or other online venders, at least slightly. They also give you different rates for children, which I never get online (e.g., airlines webpages or other third party sites, like Kayak). I've always saved money buying tickets from them. Service: The agents are knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. As they are knowledgable, they can search for the best deals. Something unique about IACE is that they have a call center, which is open 24/7. Almost a decade ago, my son was hospitalized in Japan, and I had to change our tickets coming back to the US multiple times. As their call center is always open, I was able to call them without worrying about the time difference. Customer Care: When the big earthquake hit northern part of Japan in March 2011, we had planed a trip to Japan in the same month. As we were not sure if it's safe, we decided to postpone the trip (indefinitely). Under the special circumstances, we requested Delta Airlines to refund our money. They refused despite our multiple requests. IACE contacted the airline on our behalf, but they didn't budge. In the end, IACE Travel gave us back $100 per ticket out of their pocket. Although it was a fraction of what I had paid for the tickets, their gesture was priceless. Ever since, I'm a loyal customer of IACE! Recommendation: Their prices are very competitive. They also go above and beyond to help their customers. If you're planning on a trip to Japan, I strongly recommend you to give them a call. They'd be very happy to help you. They never pressure you to buy anything until you're ready. Unqualified 5 stars! ****************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews. A Trip of a Lifetime - Perfectly Planned and Unforgettable…read more We recently returned from the trip of a lifetime to Liverpool and Wales, and we owe it all to Across the Pond Vacations. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely seamless--more than we could have hoped for in every way. Simon was simply incredible to work with. From our very first conversation, he truly listened and engaged with us, taking the time to understand what we were looking for and what would make this trip meaningful. He was not only knowledgeable and kind, but also fun and easy to work with--a true expert who clearly loves what he does. Every little detail was thought of and perfectly executed. We especially appreciated the combination of the electronic app and the beautifully organized binder that laid out each day's itinerary. Both made it easy to stay on track while still feeling relaxed and unhurried. The experiences Simon booked for us were spot-on--above and beyond our expectations, and so perfectly suited to our tastes. It felt like every activity and destination had been selected just for us. We never had to worry about a thing, which allowed us to be fully present and soak in every unforgettable moment. If you're dreaming of a customized, thoughtfully curated vacation across the pond, look no further. We can't recommend Across the Pond Vacations--and Simon--highly enough. Truly an unforgettable journey!

I am taking this opportunity to write this way overdue review on my trip to England October…read more15-October 30, 2024, personally crafted by Across The Pond Vacations. I initially contacted Anne Marie Clarke late in October, 2019 with the intent of going to England possibly in May, 2020. Then Covid happened which put my plans on hold. I can't recall exactly when I again contacted Across The Pond but think possibly April, 2024. Having traveled a fair amount I prefer private and not large group tours. I did my research and although there are many well known companies that had good reviews and offered customized private tours I wanted to deal with a boutique firm and ATP was just that. Additionally, that they were located in the U.S., knew England very well as both Anne Marie and Simon Clarke (from England originally) lived there for many years was a plus. It took several revisions to come up with the "perfect" itinerary, and as hectic as it was at times, I had a wonderful trip. The hotels with their staff were wonderful and very accommodating. I appreciated that the hotels were ideally located and welcoming. I will be writing a separate review for each hotel in London, Bath, The Cotswalds, York and Liverpool. The private guides to include driver/guides I had were marvelous with whom I established a real connection and remain in contact with a few of them. There is a reason why these individuals deserve the title of Blue Badge Guides and were expertly selected by Across The Pond Vacations. The transport arranged - private drivers, were courteous, personable and of course on time. Although I appreciated the in depth itinerary with directions provided by Google Maps, the binder was a bit much to carry around especially since I was taking trains and carrying my own luggage. Each day I would take the appropriate page out of the binder to guide me. I believe an option to receive all digitally would be welcome for those who embrace technology as many of us are adept with using Google Maps and Apps. It would be wonderful if ATP had an app (although I recognize this can be costly to develop) to use such as Travefy or some such itinerary planner. Additionally, the use of WhatsApp could facilitate any communications necessary when travelling as there are small tour companies that set up "group chats" when a client is traveling. Overall I appreciated that my trip was designed in such a way that I would not be "overscheduled". There was adequate time to meet the guides and spend time touring and tickets for the sites had appropriately timed entrances. Although all was wonderful, a dream for me was to see Les Miserables at the Sondheim Theatre in the West End - London. I had tea at Claridges prior to the performance. When Anne Marie and Simon found out that The Blenheim Palace would be closed they arranged for me to have more time with my Cotswalds guide and I received a mini-tour of Oxford. A refund for my ticket was initiated promptly after the trip. There were so many highlights and so many pictures to show but unfortunately I am unable to add them but trust me this trip was a photographers heaven. I loved the small group tour arranged to The Yorkshire Dales and upon my return binge watched All Creatures Great and Small, got my Bridgerton fix in Bath and so many more memories. Now that I have binged 7 seasons of Outlander Scotland is on my list. If anyone reading this review has specific questions, please do message me. I do recommend Across The Pond Vacations for your Great Britain travels.

Went with this agency after reading about them on Reddit. We purchased the Essence of Spring |…read moreAnime Pioneer tour. This was our first time going to Japan. The communication with the agency and myself was minimal. For example they didn't see that I updated my address and sent the tour information to my old address instead. They did do the right thing and resent it to my new address. As for the tour, the hotel was a business one which was a bit awkward since we are tourists. Sadly the check in time was not until 3pm and was not able to accommodate our super early arrival. The hotel itself wasn't too bad except for the tobacco smell on the floor. Thankfully they had air purifier machines in the room itself. The breakfast buffet was a mix of European and Japanese breakfast food, so no US style breakfast unless you walk over to Mc Donalds/Cocos a block away from the hotel. Now the tour itself, too much to do and so little time. The tour guides are awesome, knowledgeable and friendly. There were places I wished they had in the tour like Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, Shinjuku/Kubuki-cho, Ikibukuro, Diver City, etc. There wasn't much time to shop in Akibahara and Shibuya. There was less time to see the Ghibli Museum since we got there an hour before it was closing. Thankfully myself and my son was able to hit up most of the places that I listed that was not in the tour on our own. Suffice to say, the trains was confusing to navigate so be aware of that if you plan on using their system (google maps was a life saver for the train system). There is Uber in Tokyo, but that is going through the Taxi companies which is expensive ($50 one way). I hope in the future that they can tweak their offerings and have more locations to go to in Tokyo ( Tokyo Tower, Tokyo Skytree, Shinjuku/Kubuki-cho, Ikibukuro, Diver City, etc.). In the long run, a week isn't enough time to stay, 1 1/2 to 2 weeks would have been better. Overall it was a decent trip, we had good memories of our time in Tokyo.
