Wow, I haven't actually typed out a review on a PC in like, at least 12 years…read more Gosh, I even had to pull up my Yelp password. My situation is that my family and I are avid skiers/snowboarders. (Steamboat once/every year and Mammoth at least 3x/ever year) I know the IKON pass has created exponential travel opportunities to the famous 'japow' slopes in Hokkaido for non-natives within the past 3-4 years. We've earnestly prepared ourselves from a feasibility point of view to do this trip this upcoming Winter '25. We've looked into our kid's school to understand what we need to go on a 2 week trip to Japan. The wife has ensured she would start making sure her work would be blocked out during those 2 weeks. I actually have an email from my supervisor confirming I could take the 2 weeks off during that time. We've saved/scrimped this past spring/summer by not taking our 'normal' vacations and we are now at the point to pull the trigger on flights/hotels/tour packages/etc. But we have no experience traveling to Japan and I wanted this trip to be perfect. (Don't just rely on whatever I've read on Reddit.) It just so happened at my church, a fellow churchgoer had an amazing trip just this past summer and he was showing me pics on his phone/telling me tales about how he and his large family had headed over, how everything was perfect and amazing. I asked that million $ question, "how did you book it?" He actually recommended Nippon Travel Agency to me and I was so stoked, because for some reason it hadn't crossed my mind to use a travel agency. (* The pic of this review is proof that this place was referred to me by a churchgoer friend of mine. Some of you naysayers can say, 'oh, anyone can create that on photoshop.'. But the way their corporate signature is laid out, they will know I'm not making this up. Clearly this review is mostly for the ownership.) So the following Tuesday, I called and asked for help to plan the trip. The lady who answered the phone said she would transfer me after I explained my purpose. Unfortunately, the transfer dropped the call. I called back to the same lady, she tried to transfer me, and it happened again. The call dropped. The third time I called back, it was another lady. She sounded annoyed that I called back and she asked me what I was looking for, which was to book a trip to Japan for family and myself. I asked if I could make an appointment at their office so I could come in since it's less than a 15m drive from my work. She sternly advised me that no one comes into their office and everything must be done through email. She told me to send it to support@ntaamerica.com. I sent the request 8 days ago and crickets. Not one response back.

I the night before my husband and were leaving Denver a freak snow storm hit and our flight to LA got canceled. One on our tour guides, Evan, was up till 2am trying to help us sort this out. Ultimately went missed the flight to Japan, but got to LA. and flew to Japan the next day. (Pop Japan arranged it so we didn't have to pay extra to change flights at the last minute) We had made arrangements through Pop Japan Travel to have dinner at Massa (Iron Chef Kobe's restaurant) the rest of the group was in Akihabara. Even had left us clear instructions so even though he wasn't able to meet us beforehand we got there in time. Once we got together with the group it was a whirlwind of amazing activities, shopping, and food. We had two guides Evan and Gigi, who were friendly and knowledgeable, they bent over backwards to make this a fun and memorable trip. Everyone on the tour felt like good friends. I could go into so much detail on what we did and how much fun I had, but I don't have the time right now. I will just say that I will go again with them as soon as I can!

First off, just to prove my point that this company rocks, is that I never actually reached the…read moreshores of Japan, yet I give them 5 stars. Let me explain. It was a week, before the Anime tour, that all of Japan crumbled from the earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear fallout. And thoughout everything that happened, they kept us updated on the events, and even posted links on how to help the Japanese people. And then they refunded our money! They could of been mean about it, and kept the money, and said it was because of some technicality in contact, but they were very cool on that aspect. Before the quake happened, they were very patient and persistent with me with answering e-mails, no matter how frivolous the subject, because they wanted to everything to as non-stressful as possible. Also, even though I've never been on a tour of theres, I can tell that they want a unique experience for everyone. With their variety of tours, it feels that they don't want to give the feeling of being " shoved on a bus with the maximum capacity of people, and only view the sights from the window seats" type of tour. It seemed that they want you to absorb in the culture by taking you through the mass transit of the people, hence making it cheaper for everyone, and making it such a great experience.

As someone who has gotten to know the whole Nonstop Travel team well through the years, I can…read moreassure you that when you book with them, you are in great hands! They are a small, but mighty team that love what they do, and take pride in their work. They work primarily with repeat clients and referrals, so their goal is to make sure you have an excellent experience, so that you not only book with them again, but that you also tell your friends and family about them. They are true experts of Europe and travel there multiple times a year! Of course they are familiar with big cities like Paris and London, but they can also suggest the smaller towns, the secret gems and the parts of Europe that many people don't even know exist. And while they all love Europe, they also each have their own favorite destination in other areas of the world that they can't get enough of. The best part about their team is their interests are all different; they all have their own favorite cruise lines, favorite destination and favorite travel style. And they don't just read about products and places they book, they go and experience them first hand. Chris, Jennifer, Yvonne and Eva are a dream team and I can truly recommend each of them

I've dealt with Eva at Nonstop Travel on 2 different occasions for Bachelors Parties arranged by…read moreothers, and each time the experience was nothing but misinformation, lack of follow up, and an attitude like she was doing us a favor. The point of having a travel agent is to reduce the stress and make traveling enjoyable, but with Eva at Nonstop travel the booking is a mission itself. We booked a cancun trip with her for 20 something people.... She did not give us the correct information. Here were the issues from the cancun booking... 1. We asked for options for resorts and she gave us the bare minimum info with lots of attitude. Anytime one of us called, she was rude and gave short answers. 2. We asked if some people could upgrade. She said yes and she put us in rooms with one king bed... After complaining that we needed two beds she told us the resort does not offer any upgrades with two double beds (after we had already booked the resort and had no way out) and that we had to get the regular rooms to get two beds. She mentioned that we can get a room with a view for a few dollars more so some of us chose the upgrade. 3. We booked rooms for all guys (bachelor party) and booked rooms with two beds... When we arrived all the rooms were two small beds connected together with one headboard (forgot to mention there were no rooms with separate beds) 4. We asked to book flights with upgrades... She said not possible... We asked to book flights with different times... She said not possible... 5. I Gave her my credit card info and told her to pay for my trip in full... Instead she charged only $200 then emailed me and said I had not paid... I called her and reminded her that I asked to pay in full she told me no I only charged the deposit... Told her to charge me the difference and two days later nothing... Called her back and said there is no charge and her response was I didn't charge because the other person hasn't made full payment yet. 6. A few people had emergencies come up and the people who were booked with them ended up having to pay more. 7. We booked flights with Delta to Cancun which is international... She forgot to mention no check in luggage was included and when I found out we had to pay fot bags I called her and her response was "I fly to Cancun every year and bags are never included." Overall her job was to coordinate the trip and we were the ones who had to constantly follow up with her.... We also tried to book a trip to Colombia with her and she basically asked us why we don't book it ourselves... So we did and had no issues. ** I gave two stars because we made it to Cancun and had rooms. I can't speak for Nonstop travel as a company but I can tell you I would not recommend Eva.

I have not visited this location in person, but spoke to a customer service representative. She was…read morefriendly and very professional. I gave 4 stars because unlike the previous reviewer from 2022, IACE does NOT sell JR pass exchange vouchers in person at their Torrance office. They require you to purchase online from their IACE.com website and then you have to have the pass shipped to your home address and pay for that shipping. If you are in a time crunch in leave for Japan in a few days, you should just purchase the tickets in Japan or through the official JR pass website. FYI the fees are a bit higher if you purchase the passes in Japan or through the JR website.

Whenever I go visit my family in Japan, I always buy my airline tickets from IACE. As I elaborate…read morebelow, their prices are very competitive and their service is unparalleled. Fare prices: As it's expensive, I always do my homework: I check airfares online and call a couple of Japanese travel agencies in the US. Since 2008, I have only bought tickets from IACE when I travel to Japan. Japanese travel agencies tend to have better deals than airlines or other online venders, at least slightly. They also give you different rates for children, which I never get online (e.g., airlines webpages or other third party sites, like Kayak). I've always saved money buying tickets from them. Service: The agents are knowledgeable, professional, and courteous. As they are knowledgable, they can search for the best deals. Something unique about IACE is that they have a call center, which is open 24/7. Almost a decade ago, my son was hospitalized in Japan, and I had to change our tickets coming back to the US multiple times. As their call center is always open, I was able to call them without worrying about the time difference. Customer Care: When the big earthquake hit northern part of Japan in March 2011, we had planed a trip to Japan in the same month. As we were not sure if it's safe, we decided to postpone the trip (indefinitely). Under the special circumstances, we requested Delta Airlines to refund our money. They refused despite our multiple requests. IACE contacted the airline on our behalf, but they didn't budge. In the end, IACE Travel gave us back $100 per ticket out of their pocket. Although it was a fraction of what I had paid for the tickets, their gesture was priceless. Ever since, I'm a loyal customer of IACE! Recommendation: Their prices are very competitive. They also go above and beyond to help their customers. If you're planning on a trip to Japan, I strongly recommend you to give them a call. They'd be very happy to help you. They never pressure you to buy anything until you're ready. Unqualified 5 stars! ****************************** If you found something useful in my review, please hit "useful" so that I can improve my reviews.
