When we arrived in Port Angeles, Chris' refused to accept AAA payment and demanded cash claiming that I refused the first tow. After an lengthy negotiation with AAA's conflict resolution department, Chris' towing was forced to accept AAA payment. Fortunately, a honest mechanic in Chris' garage saw what was going on, temporarily fixed the damage to the car so that we could make it back to Seattle.

I was on vacation in the Olympic Peninsula area when the rental car I was driving felt funny and I noticed it had two bad tires on it. One was showing steel threads on the inside towards the body of the car. The other was bald. I called the rental company. They hooked me up with James T from this company. You know things are going to go bad when you're broke down on a Saturday afternoon and the first words you hear are "Can this not wait until Monday?" James ended up being the most condescending, misogynist, and rudest person I ever dealt with in a situation like this. I was the middle man, this wasn't my car and I DID NOT CALL HIM, he called me. The rental car company hired him FOR me through their roadside emergency assistance. He wanted an EXACT address of where I was and when I couldn't do that because I am 2200 miles from home in unfamiliar place at a scenic spot in a National Park, in a situation I didn't plan on being in, he got put out. He questioned me about what was wrong with the car(what tow driver does this?!) and I explained that the steel was showing on the tire and that the other one was bad too. I told him I felt it was unsafe to drive, his response was, "who told you that?" THERE IS STEEL SHOWING ON THE TIRE. Really, bro? BET you wouldn't have said that to a man. He 'helpfully' told me that "you were the one who drove all the way out there on bad tires." Then when I started to finally get upset at his gaslighting condescending tone, he told me that I need to "calm down" and in typical serial killer fashion he also said "I am trying to help you." And then HE, on his own, without permission from me nor the rental car company, decided that he would tow me somewhere different than where the rental company told me to take the car. This is because the rental car company wanted the car towed back to SEATAC and he didn't want to do that. CLEARLY. This made all my panic alarms go off. I wasn't going anywhere with this man alone to somewhere different than where the rental car company was expecting, as I now felt very unsafe. When I finally was able to get back to my hotel (no help from James T at all) I was completely shaken to my core and ended up having a panic attack that ruined the rest of my time there.

It was in an awkward location and a tree tried to scrape Chris off the side of the shed as he was maneuvering it past. With more skill than a rodeo clown, he hung on and got the shed past the wild tree. They placed it in the requested location with precision. Watching this father and son team work together is a thing of joy and entertainment. I hope to be alive and in need of their services in another 15 years so that I might see Daves grandson working with them. They are great at what they do, and as heartwarming as a feel-good movie. I almost feel like buying a structure so that I can hire them to move it.

The only option was hauling out to Port Angeles from Forks, which was an hour and a half drive. Without hesitation, my tow driver offered to drive out there and help me get a tire replacement. It would be a total of 3 hours after his shift was over, and he had nothing but a smile on his face, which really made the stressful process very easy. Super kind people, and I will gladly recommend anyone use them. It's the best choice you could make out in Forks.

I took my Mercedes in for just minor service, oil and filter, inspection, etc. The very next day drove home and oil was everywhere, see photos attached. They put it on the lift, located the problem, fixed it, and cleaned up the mess in and around the engine. It was a brand new O-Ring installed on the oil filter that failed. It was one of the rare "shit happens" incidents. He even gave me some oil sand to take home to use to clean up my garage. My trust has been reestablished with an auto service shop.
