Dog Just Visited

Dog Just Visited

I recently left a low review for Dog Just Visited. I am now changing my review due to how Sandra…read morehandled the challenges we faced with scheduling and inconsistency. When we started in January, consistency looked doable, though still challenging. One of my dogs is a male reactive dog who we adopted when he was one and had been kept in a backyard until then without socialization with other people or animals. He wasn't even leash trained. We got the second one as a puppy to be his companion and help socialize him. I had never had a dog in my entire life until these two, and I thought I would have more help than I actually did for the first few years I had them (before my current marriage). When I was financially able, I contacted Sandra, who was clearly passionate about animals. I ended up paying for 12 visits because we felt like Tucker needed a lot of work. Sandra had the best treats and helped us manage Tucker's behavior with better collars, leashes, and supplements. We had to cancel and reschedule due to my own circumstances, Sandra's, and, of course, the weather. That put us into the busiest time of the school semester, both as a teacher and with our five kids' dance, sports, and band schedules, including practices, lessons, dress rehearsals, concerts, competitions, school trips, and other events. With two adults, both working two jobs, consistency was nearly impossible. In hindsight, six lessons would have been more manageable for my family, but Sandra has worked with me in other ways to support our progress. I know that I can reach out to her anytime with questions. She truly cares about and wants the best for the dogs she works with.

I went to this place to try there "shooting range" it was the first time I'd ever been on the…read moreproperty. The girl seemed very awkward when she took my money and lead me to this make shift shooting range built from I'm guessing an old tractor trailer. Well I only stayed about 15 minutes because it just wasn't safe. They had electric drills for the target movement that would smoke when I'd use it and little paper clips to hold to the targets. Well no big deal there but as I was getting into my truck to leave some younger smart Ass guy comes up to me and says. "Hey your tommy right". I said yes. Then he starts ranting about the (last time) I was there. And remember this was MY FIRST TIME EVER ONE THE PROPERTY. Stating how I used an automatic pistol with a very large capacity mag and claimed I'd shot out there little paper clips holding the targets and I owed them 20$. I was dumbfounded. I really dint know what to say other than stating the fact hat I'd never been there before and he must have me confused with someone else. He seemed extremely sure it was me because the girl remembered my name???? my name? I ask. I then said you think it was me just because the name is the same???? He kept being a jerk and saying it had to be me and I owed him 20$ for new paper clips. I honestly felt like at any moment cameras would appear and they would say I was being pranked. I'd already loaded my gun back into its case and stored it behind the seat of my truck. So I was just standing there as this little jerk was in my face cursing me and threatening to "take 20$ from me before he would let me leave". Once I realized he was somehow convinced I was the "other guy" and I wasn't going to be able to convince him otherwise and not really wanting to get in to a situation with an angry guy carrying a gun while at that point I'm defenseless I just pulled 20$ out of my pocket and paid him so he would get out of my face and allow me to leave. The whole episode left me extremely aggravated and even though it's been over a year ago I think of that day every time I see there signs or drive by. So hopefully this review will help someone else avoid the situation I was put into. Aside from them basically stealing 20$ from me the range isn't worth even going to. The place stunk of dog poop and was just overall nasty.
