For months we struggled with our one-and-a-half year old golden retriever's separation anxiety…read more(S.A.). We read books, blogs and forums, tried specialty products and pheromones, and had calls with other trainers. Unfortunately, nothing worked. Until we discovered Tiffany. Tiffany's program, guidance and encouraging attitude has changed our dog's life. He now rests comfortably at home alone. Anyone who has dealt with S.A., knows how challenging the issue can be, so it should go without saying that this is a process - and oftentimes a long one. But if you put in the time, and follow Tiffany's program carefully, it works. (Or at least it did for us. After working with Tiffany we understand well how "every dog is different.") For our golden, it took about a month and a half to see any changes, around 2.5 months for a solid breakthrough, and by 3.5 months we were practically dancing when we could be gone for 45-60 minutes with no signs of stress. Prior to working with Tiffany, we wondered if that would ever be possible. Tiffany is a dream to work with. Given that we live in Holland -- 6 hours ahead of Eastern Time -- we required a lot of flexibility and coordination from her and she's always found a way to work with our schedule (via Skype). When it comes to providing training assignments/"missions," she always delivers on her promises, provides clear and constructive feedback, and is just an all-around sweetheart. She's a wonderful, supportive coach through a challenging process. We could not recommend her more.

Finally my pup is comfortable and relaxed!…read more I'm a single, young professional who brought home a puppy while I was still in school. I read several books on dog training and caring for a puppy and I thought I would be 100% prepared. What came next I could never have imagined. I had a pup with severe separation anxiety. I could not leave my dog in my bedroom and walk downstairs even for a minute or two without him crying and scratching my door or bitting on the crate. It was a nightmare having to leave him, or finding people to always watch him. I felt as though I had no freedom anymore. And helpless, as I couldn't help my puppy in anyway to be more confident or to be more comfortable by himself. I knew that I couldn't keep this up. I read several things online and watched videos, however, no one seemed to have any advice on the type of severe anxiety I was experiencing. Then a miracle happened and I found Tiffany. I called her and begged her to help me! I even got emotional. Tiffany asked me several questions about my pup and my lifestyle, comforted me, analyzed my situation and said she could help. First I read the book "Treating Separation Anxiety in Dogs" by Malena DeMartini-Price. I worked with Tiffany for a couple of months, my puppy and I looked forward to every session. Tiffany guided us step by step through the entire process. Not only would she answer questions regarding training but she is also extremely knowledgeable and helpful when it came to choosing a doggy day care, choosing cameras, and advice in moving to a new apartment. She is caring, compassionate, understanding, and very wise. I can not thank her enough. I felt that I could trust her and confide in her. She truly cared about my dog, Woden, and how I was doing. (having a pup with separation anxiety is very hard on the owner as well) She was clear in her instructions, and setting up my expectations. The program was created for my pup, Woden specifically. Everyday was different, and tailored for Woden and I. Even though I do live in Florida, in the area, it was never necessary to meet in person. The program is designed so it trains YOU in how to train your dog. This program is the best because, unlike other programs, it teaches you how to read your dog, so you can continue training in the future after your time with Tiffany ends. It also teaches the dog to be comfortable with you and in your home. I highly recommend contacting Cold Nose College to anyone, regardless of where you are located. Woden is now a happy 9 month old pup and as of today I can leave him for 2 hours worry free! And we are only improving every day. If I could go back in time and change one thing, I would have called Tiffany sooner. This program has brought my puppy and I pure peace of mind, and it has taught me how to train and understand any dog I may have moving forward. It was worth every second and every penny. I urge you to give them a call. Tiffany is a life saver! I owe my puppy's happy and relaxed mindset to her!

I would NEVER recommend that folks go to Miss Jee for dog training especially if you have a small…read moredog. We went to her based on great reviews and signed up our pup for a 6-week boarding school program. I was nervous to be without him for that long but trusted the reviews. However, that was a big mistake, our 12lb shih tzu came back with one eye, two missing teeth, two pounds lighter, and many sores and bruises throughout his body. He did not finish the program and Miss Jee refused to provide us with a full refund. For more details see photos and read below. I should mention this happened back in May, but it took me a while to be able to get the energy to write this review. I removed Webster from her care and he was not able to complete the program when he had to have surgery to remove his eye. It's unclear how he suffered the initial damage to his eye and the story I was told has changed. At first I got a call from Jee and was told that his eye was "watery" the day before and that he was flinching when they got near him that morning and she asked if I wanted her to take him to the vet I said yes. At my request, she told me she would send photos, but did not do so until later. After talking to the vet, I learned that the vet was told his eye was having "discharge" since the week before. When I told Jee that the vet was told something different Jee said someone else took Web to the vet (not Jee as I was told) and she didn't know why they said that. She then went back to her initial story but added that his eye was crusted shut on the morning she called me, and that she didn't know how this happened. I requested photos again and then changed communication to text to have it documented. She sent me a photo of his eye after they cleaned it where you see a lump in it. She also sent me a photo of him from the previous week where I could visibly see something was up with his eye and asked her why she didn't call me then. She then said they noticed his eye was "gunky" but didn't think twice about it until he was flinching the morning she called me. It's unclear how it happened, but the vet said his eye had ruptured and there was no way to save the eye and recommended immediate removal. After this I did not want her near my dog and went to pick him up from the vet after his surgery. Once I picked up Webster from the vet I immediately noticed that I could feel his ribs and spine, based on the documents from the vet Webster went from 12lbs to 10lbs under her care - losing 20% of his body weight. When I got home, after bathing him I also found many bruises and sores throughout his body and neck. This was the second major incident with Miss Jee, previously he lost two teeth under her care and I was not told about until he had a grooming appointment where I was to meet them in person and also see the progress of his training. She said that he self-mutilated after they changed his crate for cleaning. Even this story had changed over time and I will not get into the details, but I mistakenly trusted what she said and kept him under her care after seeing that he was making progress from the training. What I failed to see when she was showing me his progress is that she had a collar on him that causes shocks to his neck because it was covered by his hair which likely caused the sores on his neck reference above. I believe that Miss Jee neglected my dog, did not feed him all his meals, and abused my dog. Had she called me sooner I believe it's possible that his eye could have been saved. After all this I requested she pay all his medical expenses and that we get a full refund back given that I also had to cancel a family vacation to be home to care for him post-surgery and that any training he received was compromised - none of the training he had worked once he was at home. At first, she agreed to only pay his medical expenses given that this happened under her care and said "no refunds" and that she would credit our remaining balance with in-home training - which I said I would talk to his dad about and get back to her, but after finding more damage to his body and learning about his weight loss I let her know we did not want her interacting with our dog again. Through her insurance she filed a claim and they paid for his medical care and she did end up providing us with a partial refund but given that he is not the same dog we sent to her we felt we deserved a full refund which she refused.

After 3 weeks of waking up every 2-3 hours, we were ready to throw in the towel. We reached out to Jee, who recommended we leave our precious pup with her for a month. A month? She is smart enough to make her own decisions, and that includes ignoring me! Mila and I had previously went to a positive only trainer. That trainer could not get Mila to walk nicely on a leash or perform commands outside my apartment. I was SUPER hesitant on starting "balanced" training. Even before I committed to doing training sessions with Susie, she spent the time explaining her methods and how she teaches dogs. From the get go, before we even started training, Susie took the time to explain to me in detail what she was doing, why she was doing it, and how to respond to Mila's behavior. After 3 sessions with Susie, the dog that used to ignore me on walks and pay zero mind to me is now listening to my commands on walks and checking in on me when I don't ask for it. The three sessions with Susie have been night and day with Mila's behavior. Susie has been so patient with mine and Mila's learning journey. I was able to learn more about dog training and strengthen my relationship with Mila through this experience. We had an emergency situation and needed to leave him for a week. "Papi" has major seperation anxiety, socialization issues, and many other issues that needed to worked on and corrected. He was also on medication due to his high level of anxiety, impulsive behavior, and overall hyperness. We had worked with another trainer for several months and utilized every collar, gadget and technique to try to correct his behavior but never obtained the desired level of success. "Papi" is definitely a dog that would have ended up in a shelter as a lost cause by a less committed family (and I will admit I had my fantasies of doing this...) Papi completely controlled our lives and often filled it with stress. Enter Carol @ DePaul K9 Acedemy. Our life saver!! I contacted Carol in regard to boarding and training Papi for the week my husband was having surgery. She came over the next day and spent several hours getting to know us and Papi. A few days later we met her at the park near her house where she worked with Papi and then at her house to introduce Papi to her dog Journey, house, and family. The following day we left Papi for his "stay." Carol was in constant communication, sending us videos of Papi's training that absolutely blew us away. At the end of the boarding week, Papi was well on his way to becoming the "Canine Good Citizen" of our hopes and dreams. As with any dog training program, it is imperative that the "parent" owners and family learn the proper handling techniques and commands. Carol taught us that consistency, patience, timing, correction, and praise / reward are all key elements in achieving our goals for Papi. As we move forward in our training, Papi is now using socialization / distraction techniques with just his correction collar. He is also medication free and thriving due to Carol's training techniques. One of the many things that we truly value and appreciate is that Carol does extensive research and shares information via email or text on a near daily basis. She "checks-in" often and requests videos from our family training sessions to review and critique. She truly owns her training and offers far more than the standard one hour training session and then I'll see you next week. Due to Carol's training, our home is fast becoming a stress free, peaceful environment for all family members. Carol is an incredible, loving trainer who is 100% committed to achieving her client's goals. In her own words, "Carol loves all of her dogs" and the end result has been absolutely incredibile! She is simply the best!!
