I tried to go back this year, and am so appalled by the customer service (or lack thereof) that I will now give it 0 stars, so settled for two since I can't do two and a half. Yes, the food and ambiance were wonderful in 2025. I tried to book another afternoon tea party and called a month and a half in advance. This was to celebrate multiple birthdays with a group of busy moms so wanted to get it on the calendar. No one called me back despite the voicemail saying that we would hear back "promptly." I left two more messages in a span of two, three weeks and still nothing. I even emailed, no response. Finally, a friend stopped by in person and was told that the cafe would be short staffed the weekend we wanted the reservation for so the manager needs to see if there are enough people working before confirming. Okay....but why wouldn't you call back to tell me that? Our requested reservation is tomorrow and I still have not heard back from anyone. This is abysmal customer service. As mentioned, food was good but not good enough to treat potential customers like this. Hard pass from now on and will not go back or recommend. *Editing to respond to Victoria -- those were the dates I called and left voicemails. Perhaps there was a phone issue on your end, but I did not even get a missed call. My friend who stopped by in person spoke to a manager. She had to go by twice due to the manager not being available the first time. I also did not get an email response.

They did microwave it to boiling point. The atmosphere was nice. But most uncomfortable, was the waitress she was surly and rude. Didn't know how to smile. She did not belong in a cute tea room. Will never return. Go to Pisgah Bake House if you want an amazing scone!

It's a great spot to read a book at or come to with a friend. The people who work here are really social and kind. My best friend and I were in town and wanting a little afternoon treat. I'm blanking on the name, but I really enjoyed their new watermelon coconut iced tea. My best friend got a butterfly pea iced tea. There is plenty of seating available. If you want more natural lighting you can sit at the front with chair and tables. If you want something more moody and intimate in the back they have lower tables and pillows for a more traditional tea experience. I highly recommend checking this spot out.

I personally really liked the traditional chai (it was very strongly spiced but was delish) I also loved the shop/ tea house aesthetic of traditional floor seating in the back and American seating in the front with regular tables. We had shoes off and sat on the floor. The food was delicious too. We got hummus and some other dip I cannot remember the name of. Service was good although our order was kind of messed up and half forgotten (was waiting for our hummus and had to go back up to ask about it). I will say I was pretty frustrated with the sizes of the food given. We got a hummus and only got four small pieces of bread to go with it. We had so much hummus left and no bread that we ended up having to go back up and buy more. I also was given what felt like the equivalent of 3 teaspoons of honey for a whole pot of chai tea. We went up and got more but I just feel like it's a bit stingy / skimpy I'd recommend coming in and checking it out. Next time I'd love to do more research on types of teas as many were unfamiliar to me

A friend and I decided to give it a try today and I'm so happy we did. My husband wouldn't go with me, saying it wasn't his "cup of tea"- pun intended. I stop there to say that, while there weren't any men eating there today, the menu can certainly satisfy anyone's craving. My husband probably would feel fine eating there if another couple went with us. I know without a doubt he would enjoy the food. My friend and I were seated at a table for two in the 2nd room, which was slightly dimmed from a lighting standpoint which gave it a nice ambiance in the midst of an already quaint atmosphere. Our server came right away and we ordered the Timeless Tea, which she said had a slight fruity taste. You could get it sweet, unsweetened or hot. We both chose iced and unsweetened. It was very tasty. I ordered one of the Tearoom specialties- Chicken Divan, which came with a green salad and Frozen Cherry. You could get any 2 sides if you chose to change them. I was intrigued by the Frozen Cherry salad so I kept the meal as listed. The frozen Cherry was very good- like a cherry gelatin with cream cheese mixed in. It was very good and not too sweet but I ate it as a dessert. The entire meal was great. The chicken divan was very hot and really delicious. I thought it might be very rich but it wasn't. It was full of chicken and broccoli and I couldn't even finish it because the dish was larger than it appeared. Did I mention that it was delicious? My friend ordered the Thursday special- grilled cheese with chips and tomato basil soup. The grilled cheese was different in that it came with bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. She got it without the lettuce and tomato and said it was delicious. Our service and overall experience was great and I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a girl lunch or even a couple lunch, if your husband doesn't mind eating in a tea room.

Shoutout to the wonderful, kind, and knowledgeable Holly, who assisted us for our visit. Their tea is high-quality, and you can taste the care that goes into crafting each cup. Loved seeing the different items for sale that are created by various local artisans, too. There is plenty of cozy seating inside as well as a few dog friendly patio tables outside. The visit was relaxed and enjoyable - really a perfect place to unwind with your favorite cuppa. We thoroughly enjoyed the "Knox Fog" (a delicious take on a London Fog) and the "Butter Pecan Latte" (which was SO GOOD with nutty tones). I booked a one-night stay at the Grand Bohemian on New Year's Eve, using points along with an elite night upgrade award. From the moment you arrive, the hotel is impressive. The drive-up experience feels like you're entering the hotel itself. The valet service was outstanding -- they handled our luggage and belongings with great care and provided clear, helpful instructions on where to go for check-in. Walking through the front doors, you're greeted by a large open fireplace with chairs and couches surrounding it, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The associate at check-in was excellent. She thanked us for being Titanium members, provided water, and clearly explained where our room was located. We took some time to walk around the hotel, especially since it had been closed due to last year's flooding. The restoration work was impressive -- floors and walls had been replaced, and much of the décor had either been cleaned or fully refreshed. The hotel looks amazing. We then went up to our second-floor king suite, and it was exceptional. Straight ahead was a large bathroom, with a deck and minibar to the left. Waiting for us was a board with chocolate-covered strawberries and a handwritten card wishing us a happy anniversary and my wife a happy birthday -- a very thoughtful touch. The view from our window overlooked the entrance to the Biltmore Estate. While waiting for our luggage to arrive, we turned on the 65" wall-mounted TV and took in the room. When the luggage arrived, it was promptly unloaded, clothes were hung in the closet, and everything was placed neatly -- truly excellent service. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the shower had great water pressure. We had a late checkout, so we slept in, went downstairs for breakfast before it ended, then returned to the room for a nap before checking out. Breakfast was very good -- see my separate Yelp review of The Red Stag for details. Overall, this is an outstanding hotel. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you're well taken care of, and everyone we interacted with made us feel welcome. Yes, it's expensive -- but the level of service and attention to detail make it worth it. We will absolutely stay here again, or at one of the other Grand Bohemian hotels.

It gives off cool mid-evil vibes and the architecture throughout was unique. Every Grand Bohemian has its "thing" and you can see the similarities as you visit them as well. The valet guys were very helpful as the front desk agents. Our room was spacious, clean and I loved that we had this opening between the beds and bathroom. The showers were nice, bathrobes were super comfy as well as the beds. We like that there was several places in walking distance and a short drive to many restaurants and shops. Definitely a nice luxurious stay for us and they have the best smelling hand soap and lotion! The gym facility had everything I needed to do a solid work out. Really enjoyed staying here!
