My husband and I were in Tampa for Memorial Day weekend and wanted to get a Friday dive in. After…read morecalling a couple of shops, we found that many of them don't go out on weekdays! How disappointing! But Narcosis was ready to go! We signed up for a 2-tank shallow morning dive trip. Nice and early. We met at the shop at 0600 to pick up our weights and tanks. Then we drove down the street in Tarpon Springs to meet the boat at the docks. The staff was so fun, and so easy-going, while also focused on safety. I can honestly say that I usually have a little anxiety before dives, but I experienced NONE with these guys. It was so relaxing and fun! One of the staff members was also helpful in giving me tips to roll off the boat since I usually step off. My mind kept me hesitating thinking that I'd hit the boat on the way down. The dive master did not rush me (but I didn't take forever either lol) in rolling off the boat. We lucked out with conditions. Water visibility was great. Water was calm and warm. The critters were out and about. You couldn't ask for more! Next time in Tampa, we'll definitely be back for another adventure. Don't let the interesting name choice hold you back. Beautiful island in the gulf adjacent from tarpon springs. We enjoyed walking the sandbar ,…read morefinding all the hermit crabs, shells and wildlife. The water is crystal clear and so serene. This was the first time my dog ran the beach and I e never seen her happier. She frolicked and chased birds. Kids loved seeing crabs, fish and found so much wildlife. If you have the chance to Make it over by boat I'd highly recommend. It took us about a 20 min boat road from tarpon springs.

Highly recommend the 6am tour as you get viewing time before it gets really busy. I really appreciate Birds Underwater as they do a great job educating you about the manatees and how to passively observe. Made the manatees more comfortable and as a result we got to have some amazing interactions with them.

The kids were able to go tubbing for a long time and had a great time. Then he took us to the island to do some snorkeling, if you want to see a lot of colors and sea life you will be disappointed, but we knew what to expect so it was ok. The water is clear and very calm. At the end we got to see a lot of dolphins, perfect way to end the day!

From Start to finish, it felt like we were sailing with family and not just "some charter." Our journey included sailing out to an island where we were able to get off of the boat and swim in the warm and crystal clear water and explore the island... then we had lunch and were off sailing along the beautiful coast where we spotted dolphins in the distance! Captain Jerzy turned up the music and changed course a bit so he could raise a very colorful sail which seemed to attract even more dolphins right alongside the boat! My kids were overjoyed at the sight of dolphins racing along with us and it made for wonderful memories. The kids even got to steer the boat and learn how to properly tie the lines down on the boat. They were still talking about it to all of their friends well after we got back home from our trip. Thank you Captain Jerzy for such a wonderful experience!! We'll definitely be seeing you again the next time we visit! The kids can't stop talking about "The Captain!"
