They had a special pricing if you were going on a charter. Mike the captain dropped us right on the reef and the wreck. Mustapha the very capable DM gave us good directions on what to expect of the sites and was around to check on us during the dive. The selection of sites was not a disappointment. How disappointing! But Narcosis was ready to go! We signed up for a 2-tank shallow morning dive trip. Nice and early. We met at the shop at 0600 to pick up our weights and tanks. Then we drove down the street in Tarpon Springs to meet the boat at the docks. The staff was so fun, and so easy-going, while also focused on safety. I can honestly say that I usually have a little anxiety before dives, but I experienced NONE with these guys. It was so relaxing and fun! One of the staff members was also helpful in giving me tips to roll off the boat since I usually step off. My mind kept me hesitating thinking that I'd hit the boat on the way down. The dive master did not rush me (but I didn't take forever either lol) in rolling off the boat. We lucked out with conditions. Water visibility was great. Water was calm and warm. The critters were out and about. You couldn't ask for more! Next time in Tampa, we'll definitely be back for another adventure. Don't let the interesting name choice hold you back. This was the first time my dog ran the beach and I e never seen her happier. She frolicked and chased birds. Kids loved seeing crabs, fish and found so much wildlife. If you have the chance to Make it over by boat I'd highly recommend. It took us about a 20 min boat road from tarpon springs.

We set out before sunrise and were ready to go once the sun hit the water in the morning. Our guide was the perfect mix of hands off and hands off. He showed us how to attract the manatees and interact/passively observe them, and created a shared group experience that you could partake in, but also let us wander about in our own and have intimate one on one time with the manatees, which I didn't see happening with the other groups that came out into the water later, they seemed more uptight and controlling of their groups. This was the highlight of our Florida trip and I'm so grateful we picked the best company to go with. They supplied snacks and drinks on the boat and a changing room after getting out of the water. The wet suits and snorkel gear they supplied was very quality and felt new. The main store we met at had lots of manatee goodies and snorkel and scuba gear. It was very cute and were pleasantly greeted by the boat captain when we came in in the morning. It felt like a big happy family of a crew and we had the greatest time out there. I will never forget having a manatee come hug me and try and eat my hair. We had a total love fest with each other for a solid 2 minutes, and the manatees were very interactive and curious and playful in general which made for a great experience. We were in silver springs that day and we saw so many manatees. This crew knows where to go and makes for the best experience. It's flexible to spend as much time as you'd like in the water and get out whenever you've felt you've fulfilled yourself and then enjoy sitting on the boat and watching the manatees go by on the beautiful morning.

Highly recommend the 6am tour as you get viewing time before it gets really busy. I really appreciate Birds Underwater as they do a great job educating you about the manatees and how to passively observe. Made the manatees more comfortable and as a result we got to have some amazing interactions with them.

The kids were able to go tubbing for a long time and had a great time. Then he took us to the island to do some snorkeling, if you want to see a lot of colors and sea life you will be disappointed, but we knew what to expect so it was ok. The water is clear and very calm. At the end we got to see a lot of dolphins, perfect way to end the day!
