Its just sad to hear, granted your love one may get good care when its normal hours and eve then you never know but after 5p.m. and weekends their true colors Come out. My husband and I had been seeing James for almost one month. Initially things were going really…read morewell, and then during the last session we had hit a couple road bumps that I wanted to address. I had started to feel comfortable with James and let my guard down at this point. He did as well. I felt his office was a safe space for me to be my unfiltered self. James had casually said the "F" word during our sessions several times at this point, (as well as his IG posts have memes where he jokingly curses as well). For this reason, and because I felt comfortable at the time not having to sensor myself, I used the "F" word as an adjective during our last session in a pronounced tone to emphasize a point I was making. James proceeded to cut me off mid sentence and tell me that we aren't a good fit anymore because I was "cussing at him" and because I didn't trust him anymore. He didn't allow me to respectfully finish my train of thought / sentence. This is completely obsurd because I absolutely was not cursing at him. Nor would I ever... It reminded me exactly of what hit a chord between us at our last session where he told me to essentially stop talking mid sentence, and let my husband continue on his own. I was shocked after this abrupt and rude interruption, and said with a stunned look on my face "If my trust is slightly broken, it can still be repaired." He responded with "...Well can it though?" At this point, I was in shock because everything he was doing and saying and doing was so contradictory. Wasn't a therapist's job to prove that trust can be repaired?? And isn't the point of a therapist office to ensure clients feel they can be themselves, and not have to censor who we are? I was stunned. At the VERY LEAST, if he truly thought we weren't a good fit anymore, he could've respectfully waited for me to finish my sentence / thought and let me know then. Instead of interrupting me right there on the spot and essentially "breaking up with me". Ultimately, James has a very calm and gentle demeanor, but I discovered that his office is definitely not a safe space for his clients to express themselves fully as their true selves. (At least it wasn't for me). He preaches that there are reactive people, and dismissive people. Yet in that moment he was the one being 100% reactive, and unprofessional. He ended up backpedaling and tried to undo what he had implied/said, but it was too late at that point. That trust was definitely broken. I left the office in tears and never wish to see him again. As a professional therapist, you're expected to be just that. You're the therapist, the professional. It's not my job to be guarded and cautious in his office. It's my job to be open and 100% myself. His job to maintain professionalism and show guidance. This was our first time trying couples counseling, and unfortunately I'll never be able to look at it the same way again. This experience will haunt me for the rest of my life. And I don't know if I'll ever feel I can be 100% myself in a therapist office again. I did however have a positive experience with Cecelia during our individual therapy, who showed grace and respect 100% of the time. She allowed me to feel welcome, comfortable, and heard in her space during every visit.

Frank was able to find deficiencies in movement I wasn't aware of. We worked the issues with manipulation, strength and flexability training with all the best equipment in the office. Frank appears to be a little OCD about cleanliness and I appreciate this quirk. At the end of each session we finished with a massage and the feel good machine. I was able to avoid surgery because of the work we did. Frank gave me the best advice to purchase splints to wear at night. The splints keep me from sleeping with my hands and wrists in unhealthy positions. It has changed my life by raising my sleep score by 30pts daily. My advice is, at the least, try whatever Frank tells you to do. It will benefit you immensely.

An Exceptional Rehabilitation Experience at Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital in Prosper, TX…read more After having my second hip replacement within two months, I knew I needed more than I had received after my first hip replacement. After my first surgery, I was sent home and was basically alone much of the day. I was afraid to move, and although I had home health, I didn't feel like I was getting the support I truly needed. This time, I insisted on going to inpatient rehabilitation, and I chose Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital in Prosper because of its proximity to my home. I initially assumed I would be there primarily for physical therapy for my hip. Boy, was I mistaken--and I am SO grateful I was! After my initial assessment, the team took the time to look at my entire medical history and understand what I was dealing with--not just my hip replacement. Because I have a history of strokes that has affected my memory and cognition, chronic pain, and several other medical challenges, they developed a comprehensive plan specifically for ME. My days included one hour each of Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy, Group Therapy, and Mental Health Counseling. I was absolutely blown away! They didn't simply see a patient who needed to learn how to walk again. They saw a whole person who needed to regain strength, confidence, independence, cognitive skills, and emotional well-being. And the timing of my rehabilitation made their compassion mean even more to me. My mom passed away just two weeks before I arrived at Encompass, in another state. My dad has postponed my mom's memorial services because he wants me to be well enough to travel home and be there with my family. I was dealing with grief, recovery, pain, and so many emotions all at once. The care and encouragement I received during this difficult season meant more than I can adequately put into words. Every therapist I worked with was amazing. There are so many people I could name, but a few who left a special impression on me were Jill (aka "The Dancing Therapy Girl" ), Sahi, Jamie, Jeffery, Ravina, and so many others. Each one brought something different, but they all shared the same genuine compassion and commitment to helping me get better. The nurses and techs were equally incredible. Elizabeth, Jeremy, Neil, Krista, Tonesha, Alizabeth, and the many others who cared for me made me feel seen, supported, and safe. Honestly, I cannot think of one staff member who provided anything less than exceptional care. You can tell that the people who work at Encompass genuinely love what they do--and, more importantly, they genuinely care about the people entrusted to them. I came to Encompass thinking I was going there to rehab my hip. I left feeling like they helped me rebuild much more than that. They helped me regain confidence in my body, reminded me that I was capable of more than I thought, and gave me hope during a very difficult chapter of my life. My dad was in this facility for a few weeks. I went to visit before Christmas with my grandma, my…read morebrother, and my brother's family. Everyone we encountered was friendly and caring with the patients and visitors. The kitchen staff treated my family like special guests; they made an exception on a Sunday and made meals for us to enjoy with my dad during his lunch time, since we were visiting out of state. They made sure we were well taken care of and were so caring with my dad. All of the nurses we encountered were amazing and patient. My dad's speech therapist was reviewed by my stepmom as the BEST therapist that my dad has had in the 15 months that he has been in a hospital environment. You can tell the staff here really cares about the patients, at least the ones I encountered. Walking down the hall with my dad, he was stopped by doctors and nurses that treated him like a celebrity. It was heartwarming to see. I feel like he was really taken care of here.
