The lady that works is named MERCEDES - short dominican lady that can't speak English; lied to me when I asked for her name & told me her name was JUANA. I came in at 7:25 pm during a weeknight (M-Thursday last wash is at 7:30 pm) and this employee proceeded to tell me I couldn't use the machine I was placing clothes in b/c it would take 40 minutes. Even after I told her several times I wasn't drying those clothes she continued - mind you they close at 9:00 pm - so if I wanted to wash & dry I would've had enough time to do both. I would've never made this review if it wouldn't have been that I discovered she lied to me about her name! She obviously knew she was doing something she is NOT allowed to do to customers & thought that by giving a fake name I wouldn't find out! Now if I could give another review for the other employees who are FANTASTIC - Nicole & Noemi - they deserve 5 STARS!!!! Nicole & Noemi are always so helpful, kind, generous with advice and truly sweet. Nicole & Noemi know what it is to provide good customer service in a very uncomfortable environment & even joke & laugh with customers. There was a very small restroom, sink (Outside the restroom? Weird.), and a gas station next door with food/drinks available. (There's a vending machine at the laundromat, with just chips in it, too. I guess chocolate would melt in this machine since it's slightly warm in here.) The bad? Not too much. I went for a laundry bag in this machine on the wall, and the female employee had an attitude, saying there weren't bags in there. Excuse me lady, calm down. Say it nicely. Don't be a jerk. Relax. Geez. There was also an old, rickety man following her around (Does he work there?) who was saying lots of un-PC stuff, like I guess some old guys do. ‍ Trying, repeatedly, to remind her of some "skinny girl with big eyes". Her competency, knowledge, and approach of service was mind-blowing. This is hard to find in any customer service genre. Esther was attentive, honest, and altruistic in helping people of all stripes. You don't find help like this ANYWHERE in this day and age. And the laundry mat itself was spotless, spacey, and workable. The coin exchange, unlike others, was easy to understand and operable. Wouldn't recommend!…read more The quality of the experience really speaks for itself. The laundromat was dirty and sticky, and all of my clothes came out sticky and gross. If you care about the condition of your clothes, I would recommend going somewhere else. One thing to be aware of is the laundromat card. There is a minimum amount you have to put on the card, and that balance is non-refundable. The employee was also fairly pushy about how I should use the card and how much I should put on it. I explained that we were not from the area, so I would have appreciated having the non-refundable policy clearly explained before adding money. Because of the way the card system works, one load of laundry ended up costing me over $20, which I was not expecting. I've also seen other customers mention similar concerns about the card system. I wouldn't use this laundromat again. There are plenty of other places where you can expect your clothes to come out clean and the payment process to be straightforward.
