Our pup after just 3 sessions with Dan.

My boyfriend and I came to Dan with our pup who was both people and dog reactive. It was hard for her to be outside without seemingly reacting to EVERYTHING. It felt like she was going to be unable to ever overcome her fears... but we decided to come to Dan in hopes of being able to help her and gain some guidance. In just our FIRST session, Dan was able to allow us to gain more control and trust with not only our girl, but with us as well. He taught us how to handle her in any situation -- and since then, she has been able to go on walks, go on hikes, and even just go outside. As much as he helped our puppy, he helped us as well. She can now see people without reacting and can now handle seeing other dogs as well. We really owe it to Dan in changing me and our dog's lives. If you need help with these issues, Dan is your man. Thank you so much for everything!

I'm happy to update that Beau continues to improve. He's hardly reacting to dogs that we've bumped into on our walks, even dogs who bark at him. A combination of Dan's protocols and the pet corrector (air spray) over the last couple weeks has really transformed my dog, it's almost unbelievable. We're down to just verbal commands and he's able to keep his cool. He's also starting to look to us for direction once the "leave it" command is given. We just had one of the best walks ever and I had to jump on here to share that hard works pays off. It's so worth it.

    Iris on adoption day!

I have tried several different trainers and Daniel is the first one I have felt really connected with my dog and myself. He offers patience, calmness, clear explanations of steps for each lesson. His support and encouraging remarks go far to the success of the class. Our dog Iris, is a rescue with major biting issues and I was seriously considering returning her. She really turned the corner with her fear filled aggressive ways after working with Daniel. The barking has diminished tremendously from all three dogs after implementing the tools provided by Daniel. No more biting and Iris has changed her response to strangers. We're keeping her! I would highly recommended meeting with Daniel to discuss your and your dog's needs. I'm so glad my daughter saw his sign on the side of his truck and asked for his card. I contacted Daniel and felt very much at ease during our conversation and felt his training sounded very reasonable.

My husband and I worked with Dan with our two retired racing greyhounds on interaction with non greyhound breed dogs. Dan was very knowledgeable, professional and kind during our training sessions. He gave us wonderful tips / homework to do with our dogs between sessions. SUCCESS!,,,,, Our greys are now interacting very well with other breed dogs, large and small. We highly recommend Dan Ross for dog training. He is a true credit to his profession

Dan is awesome! Before adopting Thunder, I called four or five different trainers that either didn't work with dog aggressive- dogs or weren't responsive. After four sessions, I feel much more confident in Thunder AND our communication. I now know how to set Thunder up for success and Dan gave us the tools to continue our training. Thanks OCK9!

Thank you Dan for training my families Belgian Malinois. Cinnamon was a excellent dog when we met but now she is even better!

I would highly recommend Dan for anyone looking for dog training. I have a 6 month old golden doodle who was not obedient at all. After just one session with Dan I saw a HUGE difference in my dog. He does a great job of teaching you during the sessions and also sets you up to successfully continue training on your own at home.

So now he is claiming we have never met and I have something personal against him (which I find strange since he emailed me (click on the images, his message was written in the subject line and I'll attach our text history) also how can we have never met but simultaneously have a personal vendetta? I loath dishonesty and a man who impugns my honor for no other reason than his own pride being hurt.

I was desperate with my chain dog Albert I got from the shelter and was ready to bring him back after 3 month. He never learnd how to communicate with other dogs. I took the 4-session training and after the third session he already showed great socializing skills with other dogs. Daniel is a very good trainer. We are so happy now.

I have a bulldog puppy. Yes he's very cute but looks are deceiving! My puppy is VERY stubborn!! He was jumping on everyone,, chewing on all of our remote controls and pretty much dominating the whole house. We decided to get some help with our little bully. I interviewed 3 different trainers with different styles of training. We chose Mr.Ross. From the very first day of training, Titus (our puppy) has literally turned a corner. He is more affectionate and becoming more obedient everyday. You can not go wrong with OCK-9 services. Daniel Ross has a very simplified and detailed program and it WORKS!! He is by far one of the best trainers out there!! I highly recommend him!

Very untrusting face, we had to keep him away from my other dogs.

I wanna be Daniel Ross when I grow up lol. I am in school for dog behavioral and dog training. I ended up with a Doberman Pinscher on my doorstep who was abused. I have four dogs of my own and trying to complete school. I took this 2 year old Dobie in, and decided I would try to train him and make him adoptable. Well this is a strong, fierce breed. After three days with this Dobie I knew I needed REAL help. I live in L.A. county, upon looking up dog trainers, Dan's business popped and the reviews were stellar. Long story short I hired Dan. The moment I met him he walked up my driveway with such confidence and power. My neighbor was standing outside when Dan walked up. We both stood there in aww of this dog trainer walking up to my house like he was the body guard of The President of The United States!!!!! I was impressed, I watch body language closely. He has worked two times so far with my Dobie, we have a ways to go because we are taking this Dobie ALL the way to service dog training. Dan explains what's going on, has patience with me, because I'm worn out with this beast of a dog. He has me do excersises again and again. I will post two pics to show how this Dobie has changed since meeting Daniel. Dan follows up with a recap e mail after every session. He gives me tools that he thinks I could use and tells me to pay him another time. That's someone who wants to bring dog and man together and harmony in the home. I feel safe with my dogs now that Daniel is in our lives. There's nothing he can't handle, he would just switch gears and try another way and wouldn't skip a beat. I've been a dog owner a long time. Thanks to Dan I'm going to keep this Dobermann who was beaten and mistreated for two years. It's work everyday to get him better, but Dan makes it easy and understandable. The confidence Dan puts out, ends up transferring to your dog. He teaches you how to be the pack leader. Dan will forever be my personal dog trainer, just look at the difference in these pictures of my Dobie before Dan, and after.

I rescued a dog, half Border Collie, half Australian Cattle Dog. Shortly after we got her, she started showing signs of aggression - particularly towards men. She became very territorial and would growl at everyone who came to our house (except for my kids and me) and would try to bite men. I thought I was going to have to get rid of her because of her aggression. However, she is a rescue, and I wanted to give her every chance to stay in our home. I hired Dan based on his experience with herders and aggressive dogs. In one session, he showed me techniques to help her overcome her aggression, and it worked in just one session. Of course, she is a work in progress and still needs consistent training, but she has shown that she is very smart and eager to please. Thank you, Dan! I highly recommend OCK-9SERVICES to everyone.

A very happy Bruno right after his 3rd session with Dan and his beautiful dogs!

Pay ZERO attention to that review. As a psychologist, I pay very close attention to behavior, regulation, communication, and emotional energy, and at no point did I witness cruelty, aggression, intimidation, or abusive behavior toward me or my dog. What honestly amazed me most was that he never said one word to my dog. There was no yelling, chaos, or "training performance." It was all action, energy, body language, timing, and an understanding of canine psychology that I have never personally seen before. Before we started working together, Daisy was going after every dog she saw. Within two hours, we were calmly walking and standing next to dogs that were within a foot of her, even sniffing her, and she was completely relaxed. The transformation was honestly remarkable. I think some people may misunderstand firmness, honesty, or structure as being "mean," especially when dealing with difficult dog behaviors, but there is a huge difference between abuse and someone confidently leading both owner and dog. My experience felt safe, effective, loving, and honestly incredible. For the first time in a long time, I left feeling hopeful and relaxed instead of anxious. I am extremely grateful I trusted my own experience instead of one negative review.

We were so happy with everything that we decided to progress further by sending her to his 2 week boot camp at 16 months old. When I asked why such a good dog would go to boot camp, Vladae responded with, "Same reason that the smartest kids go to university, to become all they can be and hone their skills." That made sense to me! If it was any other boot camp I would have been nervous about my baby. I know how well Vladae treats his campers though and his focus on health and exercise. It honestly brought back the feeling of being a first-time parent--questioning every decision, but without a nurse hotline for guidance. My husband and I were especially struggling with how to manage Chloe around our young kids. She was very unruly, reactive on walks, and difficult to control around other dogs. We found SoCal Dog Training through a friend's referral, and choosing Vladae ended up being one of the best decisions we've made. I'll admit, I was skeptical at first--so many trainers promise results--but Vladae truly delivers. The onboarding process was seamless. The initial FaceTime consultation helped set clear expectations, and I really appreciated how upfront and honest he was about the work required. What stood out most to me was his long-term commitment--knowing I could always come back for refreshers gave me a lot of confidence that I wasn't just getting a short-term fix. The training sessions are where the transformation really happens. After each session, it genuinely felt like we had a new dog--but that's also where the responsibility comes in. You have to consistently follow through with the exercises he gives you. In many ways, it reminded me that investing in my dog's future takes the same consistency and commitment as investing in my two kids. She's now quite literally my third kid. Chloe used to be extremely reactive--barking, pulling on the leash, and even jumping up on our toddlers. Vladae helped me understand the root of her behavior and showed me how to properly address it. Now she's calm, more confident, and walking her has become something I actually enjoy. Seeing that transformation has been incredibly rewarding. It wasn't an easy process, but it was absolutely worth it. Also, a special shout-out to Antonina for being so kind, responsive, and accommodating with scheduling.

Prior to the stay, I was told first-timers get 1 week of free boarding. Knowing that we'd be out of the country for 2 weeks, this was perfect, on top of thinking the workers were nice. I also made sure they would be sending photo updates EVERY DAY via email and that there are cameras in the play area for us to check on him. As the front desk lady could tell, I made sure to make their lives easier, so I printed out 2 A4 sheets of things to know about my pup, being as detailed as possible so they wouldn't be confused about what to do since he's still a puppy. Two weeks later, we had to ask our friend to pick him up because they said no one could help release the pup on Easter Day. When they went to pick him up, both the bowl and the bed were missing, and they couldn't find them on the spot. They had to be delivered the day after, and ONLY because I made that phone call to confirm if they could find my puppy's bowl and his ginormous bed. During those two weeks, we clearly informed them that we would be out of the country and that SMS wouldn't work, yet they didn't remember until I emailed them, twice. Over the 15 days, I could barely see my pup on the camera, and I only received THREE email updates and one 10-second video of my puppy, which didn't even show anything meaningful. It felt like it was recorded just for the sake of sending something. One of the updates was also sent only after I emailed them the second time. Being told we'd be getting one week of free pet boarding for first-timers was WHY we chose to stay here. The staff also told us we could call for a refund if we were mischarged. Two weeks later, when we called, the lady told me they were going through reorganization, so workers were moving around, maybe that's why things were missing, and that the free first week only applied to daycare. I would have to speak to the manager about my concern. The manager obviously had the answer in mind and avoided my phone calls a couple of times, on top of my calls getting hung up more than 2-3 times during transfer. When she finally picked up, without hesitation to my question, she said she couldn't refund me for the first free week, but she could offer me a discount, or a free daycare day or some other discounts. Lol. What's the difference between giving me back a 1-week refund as your team promised versus a discount? Why not solve the problem instead of dancing around it? Why am I getting "punished" when your workers told me the wrong thing? Sure, you might lose a couple hundred bucks, but what's more valuable is that you're losing is a customer who will no longer trust your business, and the word-of-mouth effect that could've helped bring in more customers. As a business owner, you should understand better why pet owners trust you with their dogs and what they expect, especially in Orange County. Unfortunately, our first experience was horrendous and extremely disappointing. The level of disorganization and hassle is beyond disappointing. If you're looking for a pet boarding hotel, I strongly suggest finding somewhere else. Like the lady said, they're going through reorganization, so they might be too busy taking care of customers right now anyway.

I called and I spoke with someone who usually gets the calls but is not at the facility, explained my concerns and she said they were going to address it and someone was going to call me back, they never did, but since I was traveling for business, I let it go and asked my husband to just keep on eye for me. Fast forward to about a week ago; my puppy went back to daycare after being neutered, I dropped him off and 10 minutes later, I look at the camera and noticed he is not at the play room, I waited and check again 15 minutes later and nothing, 30 minutes later and again nothing, I called to see what was happening and again, someone, not at the facility tells me that she was informed that my puppy was trying to mount another dog and he was put away for a brake; I told the lady that my puppy was just dropped off when I saw he wasn't there and it has been already 30 min and still he was put away, my puppy was on the play room ; they lady couldn't figure out what happened and had to ask the staff so I went and got my puppy and brought him home. I continued to give this place chances because the convenience since is close to my home but about a month ago, I go to pick up my dog, he was there half day and I got informed that he was on private play, which is 20 minutes and the rest of the 4 hours he was put away. I was informed that from that day forward it was going to be that way because "he showed his teeth to another dog " My dog is about 25lbs little English cocker. Super sweet, has never been aggressive and all of the sudden according to HofW he deserves to be put away for showing teeth ????? What happened to the dog that grabbed him by the neck ? I continued to see him and he was a big dog , I see him on camera playing around . And another dog bit my sister's dog and cero consequences !!!!!! I take my dog to Paws Chateu now and not one time I had got a complaint . I also used to take him to paws chateu before when I was around that area, he has gone there to play and to stay without any incident . Besides they actually care for the dogs, not like House of Wood that doesn't even remind you of vaccines or anything like that, which tells me how careless they are . At house of woof there were only a couple of girls that showed love for my dog, anybody else works there just to have a job and they don't care for the animals. She was attacked by a much smaller dog ever since she goes crazy whenever we see another dog. I found a, "Highly Recommended" Dog trainer online according his website. After 3 sessions with him, his advice was to punch my dog in the face and head until she worried more about me than other dogs. As you can imagine that did not work and we stopped going. I started calling around to other trainers I found online but nobody wanted to work with such a big aggressive dog. One trainer referred me to Tony. After talking with Tony and watching his webinar he referred us to Xavier who from the first 15 minutes had my dog sitting down calmly and accepting directions. I can't speak highly enough for how professional results oriented both Tony and Xavier have been. We were considering returning her back to the breeder before meeting Tony and Xavier. Thank you both so very much!

We've also boarded Gia with him outside of training and she genuinely loves staying there. Couldn't recommend John more -- knowledgeable, thoughtful, and amazing with dogs. Bonus: John always gets some cute pics too.

I am so so grateful for John and Sara for helping my sweet boy, Sully. Sully initially came into my…read morehome as a foster dog. As he settled in my home, he became increasingly aggressive towards other people -- friends, family, and strangers alike, whether in the home or outside of the home. Sully was even aggressive towards my husband, and it felt like I was at a loss. I needed to do something before he actually ended up hurting someone. After explaining what was happening with Sully with the organization I was fostering from, they said they would need to put him down for the safety of the community. I couldn't let that happen, so I decided to keep him and find professional help. This is where John came in. After doing research online, I came across his Yelp page, where there were raving reviews of him helping aggressive dogs, so I took a chance. On his first day meeting John, Sully growled, hissed, and lunged at John. Sully tried to bite both him and me. John spent about an hour with me explaining what was going to happen and some training basics, and honestly, it was hard for me to focus because I was so nervous of Sully hurting someone in the moment. John was very patient, and showed me 5x how to hold a leash properly because I just couldn't focus from nervousness. I've never seen Sully so aggressive, and John explained it's because it was the first time someone was checking him and keeping him in his place. Sully stayed with John for a little over two weeks, and in that time, they went on ADVENTURES. I mentioned to John that Sully was afraid of water, aggressive with strangers, and other very specific things, and John made sure to tackle all of them. He sent me pictures and videos of his adventures throughout their time together. They went on a ferry, hiked to a waterfall, and so so much more. When there was a concern or something to celebrate, John was sure to communicate with us what was going on. In addition, due to personal circumstances, we needed to have Sully stay with John a few more days, and John was so understanding and accommodated us. I finally have my sweet boy back, and I see so much of a difference. He is calmer, more responsive, and he's running through my sprinklers now. LOL. It still takes him a bit to warm up to other people, but he's not as on guard or on edge as he was before. I'm excited to continue his progress at home, and I'm sure we will see John and Sara for future stays! Here are just a few of my favorite pictures of his adventures with John and Sara. :)
