I walked in, and needed to speak with a bank representative.... and no clear direction of where that would be. I start walking and then hear a voice.... "can I help you". It came from behind a 1/2 panel wall, where an employee was sitting. After walking over to him (yes, he didn't get up.... was busy sitting at his desk), I went over what I needed... and he started to work on it. During that time... he had to call a central number to set up a new account.. which lead to question that he asked me... but he clearly wasn't listening to my response. Over 30 mins later and the account is finally set up and I leave.... something that should not have taken more than 10 to 15 mins to take care of.

My dad recently passed away and had three very large jumbo CDs at this bank for many many years. I…read moream joint on the account and needed to close one cd to disperse funds stipulated in his will. , I needed to close out one of the accounts that just renewed a week prior but was told there would be a $3000 penalty. All of the other community banks where he had CDs waived the penalty. union county did not and said no exceptions . I will be closing out all these accounts to when they are up for renewal. Terrible customer service.

Their behavior was disgraceful, especially since we were in mourning. Conversely, Union County treated us with extreme kindness and a level of caring that was greatly appreciated! Four years ago, when my father passed away, I took my mom to the Drive-through...when they saw her name, all the workers came to the window to say they were sorry for our loss! I was so impressed and moved by their lovely expression of sympathy and kindness! I highly recommend Union County Savings Bank. And she turned me away and said I would have to come back another day because there was only 1 banker on site and I had not made an appointment... I have several bank accounts in general and have never had to make an appointment to set them up. I asked a few peers as well and they also never had to make an appointment to literally give a bank your money. I just decided to go with a different bank. I would understand having to wait till a banker was available, but not being told to come back a completely different day because the frankly this location is too lazy to have adequate personel.

He starts looking at me lifting up my identification scratching it and after I patiently wait I decided to ask him if there was a problem he went on to say my driver license was fake and he needed to keep looking at it .
