There aren't enough words to describe how wonderful this school and & staff are. They welcomed us with open arms for the 2022 school year when the world was slowly opening back up from covid. They were so clean, safe, inviting, and kind. The teachers are so wonderful and really know how to educate that age. My son's vocabulary and skill set exploded and he was overly ready for TK. The staff care about the kids so much and take so much pride in what they are teaching-- their creativity is amazing! The classrooms are inviting, educational and very clean. We decided to enroll our daughter for her first Pre-K experience at Ocean View Preschool. The teachers here really do care about each child, and it shows. The quality of education is very hands on, play based and super educational. Our daughter has improved significantly in her vocabulary, and on her social skills with other kiddos. We are sad to leave Ocean View Preschool as we are moving out state. Nevertheless, our family is super thankful to the teachers and staff for being part of our daughter's first learning experience. Oceanview is a huge blessing to the San Pedro community. We've seen our child grow so much - socially, emotionally, and academically while at Oceanview. He looks forward to going to school every day. We had a fantastic first preschool experience at Oceanview. Our daughter started here soon after turning 3yrs old and went part-time for 1.5yrs. We had a great first impression after taking a tour with the director, Ms. Rosana. We loved both the teachers, Ms. Kami and Ms. Cece. I felt they let our daughter play and learn with the perfect mix of independence and guidance. She learned so much! Tomorrow is my daughter's last day at ocean view and I'm having a really hard time with it because I absolutely love this school. It was her first time in preschool and I'm soo glad this was the school. The staff is soo absolutely nice and caring, the school is clean and most of all safe. I never had to worry about her while she was in their care. If you're looking for a preschool for your child this is it. I'm writing this review as my oldest daughter is ending her time at OVPS. My daughter starting attending this school at the age of 2. She was a little young but she had outlearned our home environment and teachings. It was time for a challenge. I toured the school and loved the classroom set up, the teachers, and the warmth I felt when I was there. I spoke to Ms. Rosana and she laid out all the options and tuition pricing. I had already checked out other school in the neighborhood but they were too expensive and seemed to be overcrowded. My husband and I decided really quickly that this was the school we wanted our daughter to attend. The last three years at Oceanview have been amazing for my daughter. She's learned so much and gained so many friends that are actually going to kinder with her. The entire staff is amazing and nurturing. Ms. Jackie, Ms. Kami, and Ms, Cece were my daughters teachers and I feel like they are family to us now. My husband and I are very sad that she's leaving the school behind but she's taking so many memories with her. We are fortunate that we still have an other daughter attending and get to make more memories with her in the following years. read more

Our daughter attended Ocean View Preschool for 2 years. She absolutely loved her teachers there and always woke up excited to go to school. The teachers are kind, caring and take the time to get to know all of the Ocean View families. Our daughter knew all of her letters and letter sounds before she started kindergarten because of her time at Ocean View. Their tuition prices are much lower than other local preschools. It's a great value! Sending your child here is a decision you won't regret. I also love that this is a Christian preschool and the students had chapel time. She was introduced to the Bible and now feels comfortable praying for our meals. I will definitely be sending my younger daughter there as soon as she's old enough. read more

Our family has loved everything about Ocean View Preschool! My son went there for two years and my daughter just started going last week. The staff and teachers are so kind and caring. My son had some difficulties socializing and they were so supportive in helping him feel comfortable. He made so much progress and is now thriving in kindergarten. The kindergarten transition was so easy because of how much he learned in preschool. There are many schools to choose from and everyone always loves their own preschool but this one has been around for a LONG time for a reason. I chose this school because of the long time staff of teachers that have taught generations of kids, the kind clean and caring environment. I have had 3 kids graduate from this program and all of them still talk about how much their time meant to them there. I had the same teachers for all the kids (even with a 9yr gap between my 2 oldest and youngest) and they are a part of our family now. Literally you can't go wrong with any class or teacher They are all SO special. Also bonus- the learning is top notch, my daughter just graduated and entered kinder with being one of the first group of kids to know not only her entire alphabet and letter sounds but also the first group of kids to know the first group of sight words. Also as far as the cost, I think it's very reasonable for the care and attention that each child receives here. We love OCEANVIEW- you will love it as much as we did. read more

My daughter is very happy at ocean view preschool. Both Ms Rosana and Ms Jackie are amazing with the little ones. When I signed her up during the summer, they contacted me to go for a day of orientation. You get to sit with the kids so you're both comfortable and familiar with the school. The classroom is perfect. The kids are free to engage in different activities during freeplay: coloring, tool shop, sensor stimulatioin bin, puzzles and my daughter's favorite: the doll nursery. read more

The school is very responsible during times of Covid, keeping everything clean and tidy. I can't say enough good things about this school. I cannot say enough about this amazing school. After relocating to the area, I researched every preschool in San Pedro & the surrounding areas that I could (which included several tours). While many of them were good, I felt this place was exceptional. Not only are the teachers & director kind & caring, they work hard at educating their students while making it fun. All of the class projects they participate in, field trips, surprises sent home for parents... it's incredible. And I love how much my kids learn about the Bible at school. The stories they share when they get home, along with the songs & prayers they learn continue to happily surprise me when they say them at home. I love this school & I so glad I enrolled my daughter. She started there at 3 years old. Everyone is very nice & my daughter loves it. At 4years old, she now knows the complete alphabet, along with the sounds that each letter makes. She can also count from 1-100. Love this preschool. I went here as a child and when looking for schools was happy to hear great things about the school. We put my son on the waiting list and got a call pretty fast to enroll.
