This is a great little store if you need grab and go supplies. It is a medium sized store with decent prices. I would stop by here if I was on my way to one of the beaches in Westerly. The beer selection is heavy on the domestic side, so if you are a craft beer lover, I would go elsewhere. The service is really great too. Many of the staff members ask you if you need help or will stop what they are doing to show you where a product is. It is really nice too because sometimes they have promotions. Newport Storm and Narragansett have been there before, which is great! read more

I got ID'd and I forgot my wallet so I turned around and left the store came back with my wallet. The manager of the store stopped what she was doing to come over and check my ID. I showed her my ID and told me there's the door I said excuse me you wanted my ID I went and I got my ID and she told me somebody else had come in with a fake ID earlier and that's why she was questioning me. I told her that I'm 22 years old here is my ID I'd like a 750 of Tito's. I said it's not my fault that somebody came in with a fake ID earlier. She told me that I'm not being served today and there's the door find another store. I told her she should not be in customer service and she responded I should not be wearing pajamas. I called her a bitch and left her names Kristen and apparently the manager. I would hate to work for her read more

Went in recently and bought a six pack of expensive beer. It was the only six pack of that beer that they had. It cost $12. I did not receive a receipt. At home a half hour later opened a bottle and found it was odd tasting and flat. I put my glasses on and looked at the back of the label on the beer and found that it was 8 months old and 2 months past the expiration date. I called up the store and spoke with the woman manager and told her I want to return it. She asked if I had receipt and I said no. She said 'well there's nothing we can do then.' I described the location of the beer and the clerk who sold it to me to no avail. Just a 'sorry.' Thought that was petty of them as I go there often. I then called my credit card company (I paid by credit card) andreported it. Every state in the U.S. has 'implied warranty' for purchased goods. My credit card company fully agreed and had the proof of my purchase and I have the six pack of that beer with the proof of expiration on it. Just small minded people running the establishment. read more

I really love this store. There are a half-dozen other places within a couple of miles where you could pick up your supplies, but this is my go-to. Every year these folks have a special on something grand: how about $10-off 1.75s of Belvedere, Sauza, or Fireball. When things go on sale here, I buy by the case. Open until 10:00 PM most nights during beach season, the staff is awesome; carting cases of liquor, beer, wine, and ice to your car without even asking. I have to laugh at the folks on yelp complaining about not getting served. There's only a few reasons that might happen: you went in the store drunk, without an ID, or barefoot. Simple. Be nice and you'll get everything you want and more. read more

Decent sized liquor store. Heavy on lite & domestic beer with a not too shabby selection of craft beer. Prices aren't bad & they have you covered with all your hard liquor too. It's set up well & easy to navigate. Situated right on Route 1 it can be a pain to get in & out BUT there's a back entrance/exit off of Weakapaug that I always use. You can't go wrong stopping by to grab a quick six pack or hard booze. It's not my go to store but if I'm over in Dunns Corners I'll stop by to see what they have. read more

My id was a couple days expired and i was not allowed to purchase my bottle of whiskey, because my friends drove me they also were not allowed to purchase anything. What waste of time!! I get not being able to serve me because my id was expired but to punish my friends is unnecessary. Me and my friends will never come back. read more

The only reason I give this establishment 1 star is because they have a decent assortment of many different brands of alcohol. Unfortunately, the staff is here incredibly rude and uneducated when it comes to ID-ing people at the register. Out of 3 of us in a group all in our mid-20s, they refused to sell to one of us, even though we were all well over the age of 21 and had valid drivers licenses. A rude saleswoman there said she didn't believe the ID was valid and would only sell if he had a passport on him as well (this man in our group has grey in his hair!). When asked if one of the other men in our group could purchase instead, they said that was not possible and ignored us after we tried to fight it. They have no machine or device to check if the ID was valid. I would never do business at this store again. There is another wonderful liquor/wine/beer store just a few miles down the road called "The Wine store of Westerly" that has a better selection and very pleasant and competent staff. read more

This store is conveniently located on the road to the beaches and the ferry to Block Island. The prices are generally good, with some specials that are really special. Usually they have sales on extra large bottles of patron. They also have some nice wines among their selection that we usually leave happily with. read more

I grabbed a bottle from the adjacent counter and placed it in front of the clerk and was scolded as if i was a five year old. "Did i just see you take this from behind the counter and bring it over here?" (The last time i did this, i was thanked by the clerk for saving her a trip.) "Customers are not allowed behind the counter and you have no business going behind there!" Obviously she was having a bad day so i sincerely replied "I will never do it again". But, that wasn't enough. The scolding continued until i said "OK, so spank me." The change from my purchase was slammed on the counter, I wished her a nice evening and overheard her telling the next customer "See what kind of crap I have to put up with from some customers in here!" I hope to have a chat about this with the owner/manager but in the meantime I see no reason why i should do business here. It's not like they're the only game in town. BTW, the craft beer selection here sucks. Go to Wakefield Liquors or even little Charlestown Liquors for a much better selection. ...and, you won't be treated like a child. read more
