Always good food. Garlic chicken is moist, flavorful, and comes in a really large portion. I really do like the crab Rangoon as they are not the normal ones you find that look like a star, they are pouches and they are much more filled. And I could always eat a quart of their wonton soup. read more

I think this chinese place is better than anything else in the immediate area. I always base my Chinese food enjoyment around the fried rice and this place didn't let me down. I feel like if you can make a good fried rice, the cornerstone, it basically means you're gonna get the rest of it right. I like their chicken and broccoli with garlic sauce too. I have gotten take out from Ocean Star before over the years and it wasn't good at all but with the Coved my favorite place in Whitmore lk/Brighton (Great Wall) is closed so really craving Asian food gave it another chance . The Pepper Beef was like chewing chunks of rubber and the Sweet and Sour combo was awful the sauce was a tasteless red mess . Egg rolls are soggy cabbage filled gobs of nothing with any flavor . I put the Menu out in the trash this time for that was the last time I will order from there. Side Note: The Almond Chicken is dried up hard card board pieces as someone else said taste freezer burnt Never again!!!! Threw that menu away last night. We would have been better off at the Panda Express and that's not saying much. read more

This is our second time ordering carryout and it was worse than the 1st time. We ordered sweet and sour chicken and spring rolls the first time and absolutely no flavor and chicken was dried out. Tonight we ordered egg rolls and Pad Thai combination beef, pork and chicken. The egg rolls were ok but mushy and, again, no flavor. The Pad Thai was the worst we've ever had!! Not only did it have a strange smell, like rotten feet, but the meat look really bad, like it was days old. We took about 3 bites and threw the rest away it was so nasty. We've never had issues with them before until today. The owners are hard working, and their two girls (that run the "front of house" taking orders) are always efficient and courteous. Amazing!!!! I find most Chinese restaurants to have some really greasy food. (Which isn't not to be expected) But their food is light on the grease and very flavorful. It tastes very fresh. I asked for extra spicy. The dinner came out quick and was piping hot. The vegetables were cooked just right and still slightly crisp. The beef was tender and flavorful. The sauce was spicy, but not too spicy to ruin the taste. The white rice was sticky and hot. There was a little too much sauce for my liking and the fortune cookie was stale. But these things were minor issues and did not impact my overall experience. I took my dinner to go and ate outside on a bench. The business is hot inside and the dining area is sub par. I was in town to attend a friend wedding and stumbled upon this small Chinese carryout place . To my surprise, the owners are from the same hometown in China. They were extremely friendly. We ordered general gso's chicken and Sichuan chicken, both were amazingly flavored and made with fresh ingredients. General gso's chicken was crispy outside and soft inside. Sichuan chicken was perfectly seasoned and not overly salty. One of the best Chinese food experiences and highly recommended! read more

Overall good food, and good service. Its a little closer to "traditional" Chinese in that they use very little breading and the dishes are very vegetable heavy. My only complaint is that the staff can be a little rude, I don't think its intentional, I just think its due to cultural differences. read more
