Although I have used Ocean Glass and Screen 16 years ago for glass shower doors and was very satisfied with the product and service, there is either new ownership or management at this time and my experience has been less than satisfacotry. I hired this company to make new screens for my home, 14 screens in all. Although the majoirty of the screens were properly made, there were several that were defective. Four had substantial gaps between the screen frame and the window frame allowing for bugs to enter the house. One of the screens had a noticable line down the middle of the screen that was unsightly. Nevertheless, Francisco (individual in charge of the screen portion of the business), installed them as if they were made to order. I called immediately to let him know the issue, I had to call twice to get him to come out to take the screens and fix them. Instead of apologizing for the neglect of quality control on his part, he insisted that the screens "just fit that way". At a $800 job, I explained to him that the old screens did not have this problem and that I was not taking ownership of a defective product. He took them away on Friday and told me he would fix the defective screens and have them back to me by Monday. When he brought the screens back on Monday, it was clear he had done nothing to fix the problem. He took them again. I had to call to inquire about status. It took several days for him to come back. Although the defective screens fit better (no gaping holes between screen frame and window frame) one of the screens he installed was detached from the screen frame. This time I had to take the screen to him. Francisco never apologized for the poor quality of the work instead making excuses as to why the screens "didn't fit". Further the defects were noticable but he chose to deliver and install them nontheless. Perhaps he thought I wouldn't notice or just wouldn't care. I will never use this business again. read more

Timothy is awesome!!!! We called to have the company come out to install glass countertops for our cash wrap reception desk for our new retail store. Tim came to us and I'm glad he did! He's super professional, nice, patient, took exact measurements, knew what he was talking about, and was honest on a time frame of when it would be done. He installed it by cleaning the surface, putting rubber pads down, and making sure it was in place. I'm very happy to write a review for this company and Tim. We recently had Ocean Glass replace nearly all of the windows in our house. This was a great experience from start to finish. Timothy came out to do the measurements. He is very detail oriented and answered all our questions. He supplied us with a quote within a day, and placed the order shortly thereafter. One added bonus for using Ocean Glass was that they took down the window coverings and reinstalled them at no extra cost. On the day of installation, they showed up on time and went right to work. The quality of workmanship was exceptional as they took their time to get the glass installed perfectly. We were very impressed with the final product. It actually made a huge difference on the interior and exterior look of the house. We immediately noticed a huge difference with sound and insulation, as our previous windows were single pane. We just upgraded two bathroom mirrors, for larger, beveled glass. Timothy came out on time and gave us an estimate. He knew everything you need to know about mirrors, installation, care, etc. A product ninja! We just had the installation. Timothy and his crew were very professional. UPDATE: Since my bad experience, the owner reached out to me to try and fix the problem. He arrived at my home to explain to me that he spoke to his staff and that he wasn't happy with what happened. He DID make up for this issue by throwing in 3 free screens and discounting the other remaining screens. I had a horrible experience with Tim and his store. I ordered a glass for my table and 3 screens a few months ago. I was told that they were running about a week behind on the screens when they delivered the glass (which I was very unhappy with). I asked the delivery guys to have Tim call me and after a few days, I never got a call back so I called again and left a message with someone. Today, Aug 24, I get a call telling me that the screens are in and I told them I don't want them any more and that they would call me back. They showed up at my door today with only one screen out of the three. I refused the order and made sure to tell the delivery guys that I would be posting this horrible review on google and Yelp and to pass it on to Tim. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THESE CLOWNS! Came by the house within two days for a free estimate. They ordered and installed shower doors for two of my bathrooms and installed them as soon as they were delivered to their shop. Did very clean work. We were able to visit shop and pick out hardware clips and door pulls for each bathroom. The doors look fabulous and Dave made choices that would look the sleekest and cleanest for the space, even some potentially awkward corners. Wow, was I happy. Work was a 3/8" glass sliding shower door that put the final touches on a complete shower remodel. Estimate was by appointment and as scheduled. Measurement process answered all my questions and was precise. Product selection was via on line assortment of possibilities. (Note: Others I talked to had one source, take it or leave it.) I was a big fan of this place until there was a big change in staff. I flip houses and have multiple rentals and had used them for shower enclosures on multiple houses with great success. Now there is a new guy in the field named Justin. Whoever hired this guy obviously doesn't know much about him as he has such lousy customer service and such a crap attitude I'll never use OCEAN GLASS AGAIN! First of all the older man just neglected to return my call. Then I go in for the second time and the new girl ( very nice) makes an appointment for the next day and I waited an hour and no show. So Justin calls practically screaming the day after wondering where the house is. He literally hangs up on me when I try to explain we are remodeling house and there are no numbers on the house yet. I just had the most bizarre experience with the "administrator." I called to accept a change order and provide my email address. We intend to install a partial shower glass enclosure. The change order was for the uchannels that need to hold the glass. We thought that their team would install them and they thought that our contractor would install them. Simple fix right? The self proclaimed administrator yelled at me, interrupted me continually and then hung up on me. I called back and said that I was just trying to give my approval and my email address. She continued to berate me. It was the weirdest exchange ever. I asked if I could speak with an owner or her manager. She then told me that the estimator Justin and the Owner were on the call with her. I called her bluff. She was on her handset and I could tell it was not on speaker. She then yelled at me that Ocean does not want my business and hung up on me when I mentioned that we spoke before and she told me the glass was already ordered and then said she made a mistake. It had not been ordered. Okay fair enough. I mentioned it today and she said that she never said that. Uhm. I was on speaker with my contractor and we both clearly remember it. I'm still unclear as to what her problem was. She is crazy times six. Stay away until they fire her. They lost a client today. We are also replacing all window and sliders in our house during a full remodel. Too bad for them. Justin was cool. read more
