I only took off…read moreone star for the crappy laundry machine company and the oddly eye-stinging, foamy hot tub (too much cleaning product perhaps?). Other than that, everything was flawless. The apartment itself is the perfect size for a single tenant, with a smart layout that makes the most of the space. I loved the faux wood paneling in the bedroom and the cute splashback tiles in the kitchen. The two pools are large and deep--I'll especially miss swimming there! The location is unbeatable: walking distance to the gym, multiple grocery stores, the beach, and just one block from the Greenbelt Trail. On top of that, the neighbors were always kind and friendly, which made the community feel safe and welcoming. But the best part about living here was Luis, my landlord. He truly has a heart of gold--helpful, accommodating, and genuinely caring. During a difficult time after a traumatic event, he went out of his way to make sure my front door was extra secure and honored my request not to knock loudly when service people came. He always responded to repair requests quickly and worked around my schedule while I was working night shifts as a nurse, which I appreciated so much. Even my mother, during her brief stay, commented on how cordial and helpful he was. During the holidays, when I couldn't travel to see family, Luis's warmth and kindness made me feel less alone. He's honest, genuine, and reliable--all qualities that are rare (and so important!) in a landlord. I've heard plenty of horror stories from friends about bad management, but my experience here was the complete opposite, which is a huge reason I stayed for so long. I only moved because of personal reasons that took me back to Northern California. Otherwise, I would have happily stayed much longer. I'll always remember my time here fondly and I highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a safe, well-managed apartment near the beach.

I moved here 3 months ago, and since the beginning manager Luis was so friendly and helpful…read more I called him while I was on lazy acres, because I had a tour on another apartment that was horrible and he scheduled the appointment right away so I went there. He showed me the complex, that has everything, laundry, pool, jacuzzi, dishwasher, parking and a nice view to the beach. He said just apply and immediately he approved me. At one point I was so happy for find this gem that I thought that was something bad with the complex, I was thinking is too good for be true. so I started to check reviews and I got worried, my main concern was a infestation that people said that they had here and manager being awful, but I decided trust on my gut and started with moving process. I came from a big complex on the valley that had a roach infestation that those guys never fixed, and I got tired of living with roaches and more issues. When I arrived with movers, everything was clean, no infestation, manager is the most efficient guy and friendly, neighbors knocked my door with a welcome cake, even one neighbor told me if I make too much noise please let me know, was so nice her words I called the manager because heater was no working and he sent next day to change for a new one, and those guys were amazing, I'm super picky because my past experience on my last building I had to tell them what to do, where to clean but them were amazing nothing to complain. When I need something Luis is there, he really takes care of the complex pretty good, and neighbors are really nice is another world from the valley, everything is clean. They have a lady that do a cleaning everyday, and the best part laundry is 24h. If you are thinking to move here please do it, we have school, lazy acres in front of the building, restaurants, pharmacy, beach that is literally 2 min away. I feel motivated being here and finally don't share my rent with roaches, is no infestation of any kind here. And is false that manager is awful. I don't know why those people put reviews like that because when you are moving to a new place you want pay for live in a good apartment and those kinds of reviews only freak you out but I trusted on him because his energy was nice and I decided to trust on him. Even the air you can feel the difference, I work on bh and is another world living here and there and I love arrive to home and see the sunset just on the parking lot.

Been living here for 10 years…read more Annabelle is very helpful and caring. She has a good balance between treating you like family yet keeping it professional. To my knowledge she manages 136 units. (So maybe 250+ plus ppl in the community). It's a pet friendly community, so occasionally there are dogs barking but if it persists she deals with the problem. I've had plumbing emergencies during times when she wasn't around yet still handled them remotely(even while attending her younger sisters funeral). It has been a pleasant living experience which I hope to continue.

I've lived in many different apartments over the years, and unfortunately, my overall experience…read moreliving here has been very negative. The location may look appealing because it's close to Redondo Beach, but after actually living here, there are a lot of issues that prospective tenants should seriously take into consideration. One of the biggest problems during the summer is the heat inside the units. When temperatures outside are in the 80s or higher, the apartment can become absolutely blazing hot. The building is very old, and the units seem to retain heat extremely well. Even at night, when it has cooled down outside and there's a nice breeze, the inside can remain unbearably hot. It feels like the building absorbs heat throughout the day and continues radiating it into the units long after the outdoor temperature has dropped. The design of the property also makes the apartments feel very cramped and dark. Our unit gets very little natural sunlight, so even during the daytime it can feel gloomy and depressing inside. Another major issue is the smell around the property. Despite management telling residents not to allow it, some dog owners continue letting their dogs urinate throughout areas of the building/property. The smell of dog urine is noticeable in many areas and makes the property feel poorly maintained and unpleasant to walk through. The parking garage exit onto Prospect Ave is another serious negative. Prospect is a busy street where cars frequently travel fast, and cars parked along the street can significantly block your view when you're trying to pull out of the garage. There have been many times where exiting feels like you're playing accident roulette because you simply cannot see approaching traffic well enough. In my experience, it feels unnecessarily dangerous. If you have guests or a roommate with another car to park on the street, you can forget about it. They'll be parking very far across the street in the residential area or competing with others to park somewhat close. The common laundry area has also been frustrating. The washing machines frequently leak, leaving puddles of water on the floor that residents have to walk around or through. Noise is another issue, particularly on weekends. There have been tenants playing loud music late at night, which adds another layer of frustration when you're trying to relax or sleep. Overall, living here has been a bad experience for me. Being close to the Beach sounds great on paper, and I think that's what makes this property somewhat deceiving. Once you actually live here, the heat, lack of natural light, urine smell, laundry issues, late-night noise, cramped design, and dangerous garage exit onto Prospect Ave significantly outweigh the benefit of being relatively close to the beach. If you're considering moving here, I would strongly recommend visiting the property at different times of the day and night, checking how much natural light the specific unit receives, looking at the garage exit onto Prospect during busy traffic, and walking through the common areas before signing anything. These are all things I wish I had taken more seriously beforehand. The location may initially look attractive, but in my experience, there are simply too many negatives that make day-to-day living here unpleasant.

From day one, Simeonne went above and beyond for us. We were relocating from San Diego to the Torrance area and only had one weekend to apartment hunt. She accommodated our schedule so we could tour what immediately felt like our dream apartment and even helped us get our lease signed on very short notice before we had to head back to San Diego. She made what could have been a stressful move feel so much easier. The location ended up being perfect for us. We're close to Redondo Beach, H Mart, Costco, Trader Joe's, Del Amo Mall, and pretty much everything we need. It's also very dog-friendly, with plenty of neighborhoods and nearby parks for walks, which was a huge plus for us and our two dogs. What really stood out, though, was how responsive and caring Simeonne was throughout our time here. Anytime we needed something, she handled it quickly -- often the same day. Whether it was a clogged drain, us accidentally short-circuiting something in the apartment, or an issue with the shared laundry room, she was always on top of it. When one of our dogs' licenses expired, she notified us right away, and she always made a point to compliment our dogs and how well behaved they were, which we loved. Even during larger property improvements, she made sure residents were taken care of. When the lobby and flooring were being redone, which understandably created some inconvenience, she made sure we still had a safe pathway to get in and out of our residence. One thing I'll be especially grateful for happened after my vehicle was damaged and I needed to use a rental car while it was being repaired. Simeonne kindly allowed me to temporarily use an available parking space for a few days. She absolutely did not have to do that, but that small act of kindness made an already stressful situation so much easier for me. Beyond everything she did as a property manager, Simeonne was simply warm and friendly. Whether we passed her in the hallway or saw her at the reception desk, she always greeted us and made the community feel welcoming. As we prepare to move on to our next home, we're incredibly grateful that Camino De Oro was our first home after moving from San Diego. Simeonne played such a big part in making our experience here a positive one. Thank you, Simeonne, for always being responsive, accommodating, kind, and willing to help. We'll genuinely miss seeing you around!

She is incredibly responsive to every inquiry we've sent her way -- no request ever falls through the cracks. One example that really stood out: our sink started leaking, and after we submitted a work order, she had a repair technician out to fix it within just 3 hours! That kind of quick turnaround gives us so much peace of mind knowing maintenance issues are handled promptly. The location itself is fantastic too. There's a beautiful park right across the street, perfect for morning walks or unwinding after work. The surrounding neighborhood is also very dog-friendly, which has made life so much easier for us and our pup. On top of that, the convenience factor here is unbeatable -- CVS and H Mart are both less than a mile away, so grocery runs and quick errands are a breeze. Overall, between the attentive management, prime location, and dog-friendly community, we couldn't be happier with our choice to live here. Highly recommend Camino Del Oro to anyone looking for a great place to live!

In that time, we've had minor things around the apartment that needed repair. Management is quick to get in and fix things, and encourages you to notify them of anything out of order. In addition to the well-maintained units and common-spaces, I cannot stress how kind and accommodating management has been since we've started living here. In our experience they have been flexible, compassionate, beyond fair, and understanding. This is not something I have experienced in my years of renting. 5 stars for management. (The only reason I am rating 4 stars for this property is because of the lack of parking on the street. Although we have one assigned/covered parking space, we often compete for street parking as we have two cars. This is something to be aware of moving to the Riviera village in general!!)
