Believe the negative reviews. This place is completely antiquated. Popcorn ceilings and twenty year old TVs. Heck, they still have VHS players in the cabinets. The walls are peeling. The bathtub curtain is stained and gross. The door that we had to the patio was a struggle to open an close. The plate warmer on the range was full of crumbs, and the unit was full of dust. There was dust bunnies everywhere. There was rotten wood and water damage in the ceiling and on some of the walls. The tub had no mats or at least something to keep you from slipping. They gave us one set of towels per occupant (for four days). The toilet is our bathroom was only 18 inches off of the floor. If you are older or have some mobility issues, this is not the place for you. I wish that I could post pics here. All of the rooms that are owned by the resort need renovation. The room was absolutely ridiculous. They (the resort manager and owners) should be ashamed of themselves. read more

Have stayed at Ocean Creek several times a year for many years. Will never return. Management - and yes the supposed GM - are a joke. Room extremely dirty. Notified management the morning after check in, in writing, but that was not satisfactory according to GM. Don't waste your time or money here. One of the Most Frustrating Stays I've Ever Had I rarely leave negative reviews, but my recent stay at Ocean Creek Resort was disappointing enough that I feel obligated to share. First, I was placed in room 2319 where the deadbolt didn't work--a basic safety feature. I was told there was no maintenance or manager on-site to fix it. I was moved to a second room, 2119, only to find that the key cards didn't work at all. I had to rely on staff to open the door each time, and I was told only a manager had the master key--yet someone from the reception (who wasn't management) was using it to let me. That alone was a major security red flag. Each time I needed access, I had to wait 10-15 minutes, and after 11 PM, there was no easy way to get back into the room unless you tracked down security yourself. I had to move my luggage multiple times--five, to be exact--because of the room change and it wasn't clear if I'd even be able to get back into my assigned room. To top it off, the condition of the room was rough: the comforter was worn, kitchen cabinets didn't close properly, closet door didn't close properly, the back sliding door did not lock, a gap in the flooring in the hallway, the list goes on. I expected better service from Ocean Creek Resort and their management, better communication, and most of all, better safety standards. This stay was frustrating, exhausting, and not at all worth the hassle. I won't be returning, and I'd recommend others do their research before booking. read more

I decided to update my review. I like this location and resort for many reasons. On this recent trip, I can add one more reason to the list. Their Golf package arrangements are excellent! When you book the room through the Golf Director you get an additional discount on the room. They have access to the all of the area golf courses. It's hard to believe there are over 100 courses in the Grand Strand. I talked to Brian and explained to him my handicap and preferences. He set me up at the Myrtlewood - Palmetto & Barefoot Resort - Greg Norman. Both were outstanding in every way. There was a little glitch with the breakfast vouchers but upon check-out he made an adjust to the bill and I was fine with that. The main attraction to this Resort is location. You're right on the beach and have private access to the Resorts private beach. They also have a pool on the beach next to their Tiki Bar where you can also get food. They now have a golf cart shuttle that runs through the day through the Resort down to the beach. It's a limo size golf cart and has a trailer so they can carry your beach chairs and other gear. read more

My family and I are staying here and so far everything has been amazing! There are many pools one of which is in side and out side! The beach can be seen from our room and there is direct access to the beach. There is a beach volleyball court and swing set. There is also many tennis courts, a fitness center, and beautiful places to walk! This is a great place close to great places like barefoot landing. read more

The floor was dirty, the bed was wobbly with the headboard constantly hitting the wall, the person above us was stomping on the floor every time she walked, and it was constantly loud especially when trying to sleep. I was very disappointed that it was not a pet friendly resort, considering the place was so outdated and kept so unclear. We did see people with dogs,but I guess they were owners. If they can have pets, then it should be considered pets friendly. Or NO pets should mean NO pets (including owners). read more

Friday, August 25 - Wednesday, August 30 Day 1 Friday - We arrived by 5 pm. It took 2 hours to find a room and here's why - The first 2 rooms they gave us had bed bugs infestation, we took pictures, the assistant manager Casey offered us a Tower room but it wouldn't have been ready until Saturday after 4 pm and we were afraid that there would bed bugs in that room too. Because it was Friday, other hotels were already booked up or twice the price so we were stuck. Casey offered a two story townhome with a screened in porch. It had 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it looked nice, we checked there were no bed bugs. Good right... WRONG. We started unpacking, showered and realized 2 of the 3 toilets were backing up and huge water bugs started coming from under the furniture. We called the front desk, they sent maintenance who sprayed for the bugs and snaked/plunged the toilets. Day 2 Saturday, the toilets were not flushing again even though the maintenance staff snaked and plunged the day before. Maintenance came back again, plunged and they replaced the toilet flush and flaps. Day 3 Sunday, we realized the upstairs bathroom had the hand towel bar ripped off the wall and the replacement was in the bathroom cabinet,the safe was broken and held together with duct tape, the furniture had missing parts and it was old maintenance came in again and replaced the safe door and snaked the toilets again. I went and spoke to the assistant manager Casey about the condition of the townhouse including the water bug issue, which by the way I never experienced before at any hotel at Myrtle Beach. She offered us a discount on our reservation and refunded us 1 day rental. Day 4 Monday one of the toilets backed up again, a new maintenance staff member completely changed out the toilet interior and waited to see if it flushed, after 2 times it clogged for no reason and he was right there to see and he found the actual issue and fixed it. That bathroom was above the kitchen, we noticed that there was a cracked ceiling paint from a leak in the kitchen ceiling. We notified the front desk. Day 5 Tuesday we tried to have a crab boil but the stove never got hot enough for a rolling boil the water it just simmered. It took 3 hours to make dinner Day 6 Wednesday we are packing up to leave because Hurricane Idalia started earlier than expected. It was pouring rain. My sisters' car battery needed a jump, the cables we had were not working so we called to see if maintenance could help, they said they would ask maintenance if they could help. An hour later we called again and the front desk said they don't never offered a service to jump people but we had to be checked out by 12. It was pouring rain because of the hurricane so I went to Walmart praying it wasn't closed yet to get new jumper cables, they closed after I left because of a State of Emergency. When we checked out we let the person at the front desk know we wanted to speak with the manager due to having backed up toilets and water bugs issue throughout our stay and we would be back after the hurricane to request a refund. The next evening we went back and requested a refund from Casey, the assistant manager, that's when she said, " I can't give you a refund because a real estate sales agent went to the unit and it smelled like marijuana. We did not smoke in that house especially NOT marijuana. REALLY!!!! They had a maintenance staff person in our room 4 out of 5 days we stayed, at various times. But they never complained about smelling anything, now all of a sudden a real estate sales agent was at the townhouse in a hurricane said it smelled. I want a real estate agent that dedicated. I mean it was a state of emergency, but that agent was working through it, now that's dedication or just a lie. You decide. We waited and stayed at the townhouse for maintenance every day except Wednesday when we checked out. I will never stay at this bed bug infested resort. read more

Nice location, but disappointing from there. The place was very dated, and not in great shape. The lock to our balcony door was broken, so we called the office. Despite assurances, no one ever came to fix it. The workout room air conditioning was not working properly, and thus it was close to 80 degrees inside. We never went to the restaurant, as the hours were very restrictive. I also had questions concerning our bill after our departure, but I could never reach anyone, which was odd, since when we called to make the reservation, we had no trouble at all. I left multiple voicemails, but no one ever returned my calls. We were there last summer, and won't be returning. read more

The front office is horrible leaving at 11pm leaving us security for coastal management to deal with their issues, a total disrespect in the eyes of the homeowners for their stupidity, what's makes them think that security has anything to do with their units or accommodations any different, they should have never allowed their employees to leave at 11pm each night due to the fact that their new employees are told that security will help them out with anything read more

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this resort. The beach access was incredibly convenient. I later found out that tents aren't allowed at the southern strip so I loved that this strip did allow beach tents. I loved that there was a tram available on the way, even though we preferred to walk and never had a chance to use it. We loved that the resort had a variety of pools to choose from. We used the indoor facility a few times as well as the outdoor one closest to us. It was incredibly convenient, and we enjoyed that there weren't many people at the pools when we visited. Hubs and I got a chance to enjoy the pickleball court. We have recently picked up the sport, and it was a nice surprise that they had a court available. Other highlights of this resort: close to Barefoot Landing and other amenities, fitness center, on-site restaurant, golf, and beautiful grounds to walk and explore. I would highly recommend this place to any vacationing in the area, and hope to return soon. read more

My family has been coming here on and off for well over 20 years... and we had gotten our bike group to come stay here as well over the years...that ends with this trip. They have begun charging $10 a day for parking per vehicle so that cost us $100 for 2 motorcycles, motorcycles aren't allowed on property which ok, I get it... but they don't even have them in a secured lot anymore they used to have a guard watch them and you had to show a matching wristband to get to the bikes but that doesn't happen anymore... and the lot is sand and pine needles... to make things worse.... Our unit had bed bugs!!! It took them almost 3 hours to come look at the unit, which caused us to miss our plans for the day... then we couldn't go into the room or have access to any of our belongings because they had to treat everything and move us...$50 for medicine to take care of the rash/bites all over us and then we had to spend our relaxation time to do laundry to wash all the chemicals off our clothes.... For all of the hassle we got 1 night reimbursed... that's it... there was 0 urgency from the front desk or management. We will NEVER come back. read more

I only stayed one night due to a sporting event. The price was very reasonable and in the past year we have been here to Myrtle Beach 3/4 times for tournaments. When we pulled up this was by far more reasonable priced and spacious. Usually at night we are ready to crash. We walked around looking for food and a pool. We found the outdoor pool by the beach that seemed nice and relaxing for a good vacay along with drinks right there to sit by the pool. We left the resort for food and turning right we were close to everything! That was a plus. We returned and noticed there was some type of fire in our building so it was being rebuilt. We stayed in Tower 1. There was no indoor pool as originally suggested by the receptionist. They are nice ladies, but don't think they get out to see the units often. Now to sleep, I woke up at 4 because the mattress was just uncomfortable. I woke up with back pain but went back to sleep after an hour. Yes I will probably come back due to location and amenities. I'll just bring extra mattress covering and ask to not stay in Tower 1. Our unit did have a smart tv and WiFi so honestly it was a good deal in my opinion read more

The two stars are for the ocean view. That is the only thing we enjoyed at this "resort". The entire unit was extremely filthy. We needed to wear shoes at all times. The bathroom shower was disgusting and the wallpaper is ripped and peeling throughout. There was a large burn on the kitchen countertop. It smelled very musty - like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The whole place is so dated. The owners should either spend money updated and cleaning this place or stop charging the amounts they do. read more

Based on previous reviews, you would expect this resort to be sub-par, but it really is a hidden gem! The resort offers plenty of sandy beach space, so even during high tide, there is room to spread out. There are 7 pools, tennis courts, a putting green, a conference center, an oceanfront pool, a playground, sand volleyball, an oceanfront bar/grill, a "lounge", a small gym, and a dining hall that offers an incredible breakfast. It is also gated, which offers a level of security you don't get in most Myrtle Beach properties. Ocean Creek does manage some of the rentals but not all of them. You can find more units at booking.com or vrbo.com. All of the units are individually owned, which is probably the root cause of many of the negative reviews. Yes, some of the units are dated, so you might want to do a little bit of investigating and choose a unit that has been updated to your personal taste. I personally don't mind some older features... as long as they are functional. I have yet to see any signs of bug infestations, and there are signs posted to let renters know when to expect the exterminator, so I find it hard to believe any of the reviews that make that claim. That being said, the resort is in South Carolina, so you are going to get an occasional Palmetto bug sighting. It's as unavoidable as getting sand in your shoes! We love that the resort offers oceanfront units, as well as units that tucked back in the trees. We love the walkways and the incredible ocean views! Overall, I think Ocean Creek is a gorgeous property in an incredibly convenient location with very reasonable prices. read more

We booked directly through the resort and paid a premium for an ocean front 2 bedroom condo ( North Tower unit A12). The unity is dirty with broken furniture and plastic furniture on the balcony. Her grounds, pool and beach are lovely. The owners of condos need to be informed when their units are uninhabitable and the management company needs to stop being greedy and stop renting units that are subpar. read more

This is an update to a review of our first visit in 2018. In that visit, we stayed in North Tower. This year, we stayed in South Tower. South Tower is the superior choice because residents of South Tower have exclusive use of an indoor hot tub. The next-closest hot tub is a considerable walk towards the middle of the sprawling Ocean Creek complex. So South Tower is much more convenient in that regard. Also, South Tower has modern keypad locks on the doors; whereas North Tower still uses physical keys. It was nice to not have to carry around a physical key. Kinda crazy that this is even a "perk" since literally every hotel has used keyless entries for, I dunno, decades? But not North Tower! We ended up staying in a three-bedroom condo. It was gorgeous: modern, brand-new appliances and flooring. When selecting a condo at Ocean Creek, you really need to see pictures of it beforehand. The quality can vary so greatly between units. For example, other family members also chose a three-bedroom condo, and their unit looked like it was right out of the 1980's. No bueno. read more

Checked in on 7/31. Check in process was brutally long even tho I "pre registered" online. Walk into our room, immediately saw that the bathroom cabinet door was completely ripped off & resting on the vanity top. The bathroom outlets did not work. The tile in kitchen was warped from the dishwasher leaking. We have 5 people staying & only 3 chairs at the dining table and one of which was broken. You needed to use all your weight to open the sliding doors. The unit overall was very dated, dusty and dirty. Outdoor patio furniture was rusted. Then to top it off, we had roaches in our room.. not palmetto bugs.... ROACHES. We went to front desk to request a new room..... after quite a while we were told that there were no other rooms to move us to but I was able to log onto their website to book a room directly myself.... Told them that, then all of a sudden... Viola! A room was found! We then moved rooms. New room's air conditioner sounded like a helicopter & kept us awake all night. It took them 2 days to fix it. Windows were so dirty and foggy (seal failures) that we couldn't even see out of them. And Lo' & behold.... MORE ROACHES. THEN interrupted in our room for roach control to spray while we were eating lunch! Trying to relax at the pool was difficult as well.... Two different pools on separate days were being worked on while people were still IN the pool. Sawing, grinding... dust flying everywhere. Concrete & chunks of block were falling into the pool. Families had their babies in the kiddie pool with silica dust flying everywhere.... Had to move because of it. Steps to condo unit were not built to code... definitely a violation. We made several calls to General Manager, but she refused to contact us back. Went in person to speak with her at the front desk & she refused to come out to talk with us. Explained to them at front desk all of our troubles. She did not care at all. Received an email back from the General Manager, Tess, due to the survey I filled out and she claimed she was not on the property during our stay and therefore couldn't speak with us. However, not only did we SEE her but her employees also said she was "busy" in her office and would not come out to the front desk to speak with us. Cowardice. This resort needs an overhaul beginning with management. read more

They shouldn't even get one star. Aside from being outdated, the villas are disgusting. Cobwebs everywhere. Live bugs, Dead bugs, cockroaches. dirty bathrooms. The patio doors are so hard to open. Broken closet doors. The shutter doors do not look like they have ever been cleaned. No water pressure in showers. One shower does not even have hot water. The office saw the picture, and agreed it was a cockroach and said it was disgusting and wanted to switch us to a new villa. Upon arriving to look at the new one, found more cockroaches. The didn't say a word. Checked out and ended up going home. I will be reporting them to the BBB to get a refund read more

Joe and I stayed here during our recent trip to Myrtle Beach. I think he booked the room on the app Hotels Tonight, so we got it for a pretty good price. Overall, the room was not as clean as a hotel room should be. I first noticed that there was an inordinate amount of sand in the bedroom. I can understand some sand, I mean it is the beach and sand is very difficult to get up. But there was a lot of sand! Later I noticed that there was a pile of sand swept behind the bedroom door. Joe and I ended up putting towels down around the bed so we wouldn't get sand in the bed. In the morning, I realized that there was no coffee. In the coffee cups where hotels generally put the coffee filters, there was dish detergent. When I called the front desk, they told me I could come get some, or wait until housekeeping could bring me some (40 minutes later). Generally, the room was not as clean as it should be. But, it was a very large room, and it was very quite. I also like the beachside bar this hotel has on the property. read more

Should be named Schitts Creek cause that what it was. Room 2317 was the most horrible place I have stayed since being born. You all know how it is too-once you're checked in and figure this out there's no turning back cause everything is booked at the beach. For starters the sliding glass door wouldn't lock. It's broke. The bathtub wouldn't hold water. The fixtures are from 1960's (I looked up the serial numbers). The mattress hasn't been replaced in 25 yrs, the box springs has vomit stains, the alarm clock is ginormous and a fixture from the Apollo mission-which also has vomit stains, paint is peeling, stucco is chipped away (in the room), the sign for "I West" does not include 2317 and starts with 2318-imagine the fun trying to find the sign with the correct number after driving 7.5 hrs and arriving at 2345 hrs. It doesn't exist. It's a damn guessing game. I will never stay here again. I want my damn money back. The pools are decrepit and disgusting. I seriously want my $258 back for the one night of staying in that Schitt Hole. Thankfully it's just for one night and a segway to the week long condo. This place should be burnt to the ground and Property Management should be FIRED! read more

The N. Myrtle Beach "granny" always delivers...as we say back home "the old chicken makes the soup good!" Ocean Creek is an all-inclusive resort right across from Barefoot Landing shopping center and Alligator Adventure zoo park. Pros: -Great location, beautiful landscaping and lush vegetation gives you a Caribbean-like feeling. -Each building cluster has its own pool -Free hot breakfast (2 persons) -Free high speed wireless Internet -Cheaper prices relative to newer resorts. Check their website for ongoing specials and packages. -Kids activities...last time we went there they did an Easter Egg hunt all over the property Cons: - The villas (the bulk of Ocean Creek's lodging) are starting to show their age. If you don't plan on spending lots of time in your room then it shouldn't be a problem. -It's a hearty walk to the beach. I personally liked this when I was on my own...however dragging the stroller, kids stuff, the chairs and cooler etc, to and from the beach can be a hassle....if you ask nicely the security staff will drive you to the beach. I have never expired such grouchy people at any resort. The resident/owners complain about everything. We are a marred couple almost 60 years old and in 24 hours there were nothing but complaints. This is not a place to ride a bicycle, leave or come back after 8 pm or walk in your unit after 9 pm. A lot of the year round residents obviously do not want vacationers here. We came from New Jersey to visit wonderful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Wow. Just wow. Ocean Creek would be our lovely abode for our stay. Wrong. Absolutely not . There were bugs all over the place. Roach infested, cobwebs in the hallways and even in the pool area. When we requested for help with these pests a gentleman came to the room sprayed some bug spray with a pungent odor and said "oh South Carolina is a 'tourist' spot for these critters" exact words. He left at that. That was the tip of the iceberg. It gets worse. The sofa pullout bed is so uncomfortable. The bed is literally 3 inches thick and the springs are piercing. It had to be at least 20 years old We had requested for some assistance or replacement at least TEN times, all they said is "oh I am sorry and I will look into this." After calling again and again they offered to change our room. Same situation. They said they would give us a mattress, but housekeeping comes over and gives us a mattress cover which is basically a blanket therefore no improvement. Terrible beds. Point blank period. The staff act like serving the guests is a burden to them and do not care at all. The bed situation went no where mostly because they weren't doing their job. Housekeeping staff were nice except when we were checking out, constantly knocking on the door asking when we were leaving. It is very unprofessional to harass a guest to leave. The beach is great and rather convenient- if you bring your own umbrellas and chairs. They charge a whooping 40 BUCKs for two chairs and an umbrella. We had to go to Walmart to buy chairs and umbrellas. The "shuttle" they claimed that was so frequent, was never there. We saw them but rarely. The pool and spa was a breath of fresh air. The spa was relaxing, (especially after dealing with all the shenanigans of the resort) but the timings were a bit odd. The cobwebs are the perfect cherry on top. If you ever plan on coming to Myrtle Beach, please do yourself and your family a favor. DO NOT STAY AT OCEAN CREEK. It was definitely our worst experience in resorts and it was honestly sad that such an establishment has been running for so long. This place is great if you want bugs, a bad back and long walks to the beach returning to the room with a hole in your pocket. If there was a ZERO star rating I would give it to them. This is the place to stay in North Myrtle Beach! We are a family of 6 and stayed in the Tennis Villas for family vacation mid-July. Our villa had a full kitchen, and two bedrooms; one with a king bed and the other with two twin beds plus a sofa sleeper in the living room plus a full size washer and dryer in unit. The decorations are certainly out of date, but the appliances and structural aspects were very well maintained. We had a cute screened in patio and had a pool within a one minute walk! Our walk to the beach was a long city block, but there is a shuttle for those who didn't want to walk. The resort offered some activities for kids all week. Also we enjoyed being walking distance from great food and a shopping center with carnival style rides. Cons were few, the drive is a tad long to downtown Myrtle Beach, but not terrible. Our housekeeper was not quite on top of keeping the suite stocked. We had to call the front desk several times for coffee, dishwasher detergent etc. but she did give us fresh towels every day which was more important than the above. And that fitness center, was very disappointing! Only one double cable machine and a few cardio machines, but we made do. We didn't actually eat any resort food so we can't speak to the quality of that. We enjoyed our experience overall and would definitely return. read more

I am very disappointed in our 2 bedroom condo. The room is extremely outdated and needs a good deep cleaning for the price I don't think I should see hair stuck in my towels and shower curtains. I've stayed at the resort before and I don't remember it being this bad. I called housekeeping for 3 sets of towels and after an hour went by we had to call housekeeping again because they never brought the towels. We were informed that they were in the dryer and had to wait another 20 minutes. I have NEVER been to any Hotel or Resort where I had to wait for towels. I am so sad that I booked for three nights which means I have to be here for two more because I know they won't give us a refund. Worst Valentines Day weekend read more

Wouldn't recommend simply for that reason. Cockroaches all over on the outside of the buildings. This was one of the best parts of our vacation! The unit was clean, in good repair and we had no problems with anything in the unit. The house keeping staff was very friendly and efficient as was the front desk help. Their onsite breakfast buffet was great and had something for everyone. Filthy!! refused to refund!! more than 10 hairs in the bathroom. I stopped counting and just left without a shower in the sink, shower stall and tub. tile floors were filthy. no excuse! a broom to the floor and wiping the bathroom down would have sufficed! cheapest option on hotel tonight in Myrtle Beach for a reason! also, they charge AGAIN at the hotel for "taxes and fees" in ADDITION to what you prepay in the hotel tonight app. AND the additional resort fee listed to be paid at check in per the Hotel tonight app. run away, stay somewhere else! $99 booking final cost $148, free dirty floors and grime included with someone else's hair as a bonus. read more

Found a great deal on this room from Hotel.com. We booked this hotel because of the price and ratings on trip-adviser. After reading the reviews on on yelp I was afraid of bed bugs. I had to inspect the bed for myself, flipper the mattress, turned over the sheets, and looked at the head bored with a flash light...yay!!! No bed bugs. The staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. Easy access from to the beach and other attractions. I will probably come back but there are other hotels I would also like to explore.. read more

Pros: It was tidy, and we never saw a bug in our condo. We also had daily maid service with trash taken out and linens refreshed. Having stayed at many places in Myrtle Beach, daily maid service is not a given. Cons: Two separate agents told us the outdoor pools were heated. That's not true. This "fact" is what compelled me to book this hotel, so imagine my disappointment when no outdoor pools were heated. Second, an agent on the phone told me the poolside bar was open. So, I bought a $25 gift card for $20, anticipating buying snacks and drinks during our stay from the bar. Actually, when we arrived, the bar was closed for the season. For these two reasons, we'll never stay here again. The condo was very dated and had rusty patio furniture. But I can overlook all that. It's the lying that truly upset me. When I reported these two significant lies to the agent at the end of our stay, there was no offer of a refund. Stay away from this place! read more

I booked a room for 4 nights at this resort and it is now day 2 and I am hating every second of it. I woke up this morning to a cockroach in the toilet! I tried to give the benefit of the doubt and assume it fell from the vent that is right above from another room. I was HIGHLY disgusted and disturbed, but let it go. After the second roach I got annoyed and after the third FED UP! We called to the front and they did nothing but send maintenance to spray the room with poison. cool. but please note there is a 2 year old along on this trip. so we are currently sitting here at 10pm inhaling the poison sprayed to control the roaches. another room was never offered. just simply can to go somewhere else for an hour while we clean the position. this place is an entire joke! Do not recommend whatsoever. If I could give zero stars trust me I would! This is unit 2135 ll West. read more

Firstly, we only booked for a single night, so my review is based on that. The grounds of Ocean Creek seem incredible! It is family and fun oriented and aesthetically pleasing. There is a type of public transit--a golf-cart limo, that can get you around if you are far from the beach etc. In that way, Ocean Creek felt to us a bit like the campground at Disney. The beach is awesome, and OC is walking distance from the fun shopping boardwalk. HOWEVER, our condo was dumpy. Everything looked beat up. Everything worked, but not great--like the kitchen faucet spurted everywhere etc. The carpeting was full-on gross and smelled of a past flooding or water disaster. The condo was pretty buggy too. Finally, customer service was lack-luster. The woman who checked us in seemed bored with us and life. The general worker-vibe was not fun and kind of a downer. read more

Should have looked on here before reserving a room. Where do I start? Dirty curtains, 1 lightbulb in a 5 lightbulb light, shoes stick to the floor when walking, I am glad I brought my own blanket - blanket on bed looks dirty and dungy, no place to plug in all my devices, entire place needs serious updating. Smoke detector starting beeping (low battery) - we called front desk and no one showed up after 7 hours (we were out) so we had to go get battery from front desk and replace it ourselves. Positives-towels looked clean, bathroom appeared clean. That's all I got. :/ How I booked this place without checking reviews, I don't know. read more
