It could have been a better experience, but the guy checking your receipt as you leave the store was a real a-hole. Mind you, we were super shocked to have to show our receipt to someone as we were exiting a liquor store and has just paid $70 for a bottle of Remy, $60 for a bottle of champagne, and $23 for a half pint of Hennessy and thought he was joking and kept walking out the door. Well he throws a fit, and starts cussing us and telling us not to come back to the store anymore. Are you freaking kidding me I know for a fact, the bottle of champagne can be bought every day in Atlanta for $29 a bottle and you`ve doubled the price and then want to cuss me out because I can`t understand why you are asking for my receipt when there are cameras and live video feeds at almost every angle in the store. We did go back a second time, mostly because this place was only two blocks from the condo we rented, but there are three or four liquor stores a few streets over, so he`d never have to worry about me returning on any future visits to Miami. read more

Liquor? I don't even know her. Ba-dum-BUM! This liquor store is located a few paces from the oceanfront, practically begging you to booze and bronze. It has a large assortment of liquors, wines, chasers, mixers, and other Miami party goodies like condoms, cigarettes, etc. It really is a one stop shop and a reasonably-priced one at that. Only complaint is that the guy working the cashier was a typical Miami club promoter and said that if we ladies were innerested, he could get us into a club for free with free drinks if we came back to the store when he got off work at 11 pm to take a cab to the spot. The mark up is absolutely insane. Double the markup from most grocery stores. They are too cheap to put tags on anything, which is incredibly dishonest and a huge red flag. I am all about saving money on vacation. Walked in to Ocean 9 liquor store and to my surprise it was a full blown party w a DJ at the front of the store. Wow!!!!! Everyone is super friendly and the DJ Def rocked out and had all the customers dancing all the way to the register. What better way to get ppl in the mood to drink and buy more happy juice. This liquor store was LIT! Every time I came in the staff was so lively, welcoming and friendly. It was very conveniently around the coener from my hotel. Stopped in here twice during our short excursion to Miami. They have music blaring the entire time. On my second visit I noticed that they actually have a DJ inside of this liquor store. Everyone is dancing and bobbing their heads in here. Very fun atmosphere and of course the liquor gets the party going even more. I will say that the liquor is fairly priced but everything else, like chips, water,soda is all overpriced by like double. read more

Everytime i go here, they make me feel like im doing something wrong. There's a guy at the door that often rudely says you can't go in with a purse. Im not giving my purse to a stranger in sobe! God only knows if he actually works there or whats going to happen to it! Plus, its not a policy everytime. I always am followed around the store, like im stealing or something. Its uncomfortable. One employee was so on top of following me i couldn't even open the cooler to get the beer. Quite a few times i was overcharged (by a lot, not a few $) so always pay cash and look at itemized list. For the priciest store on the beach, their service blows. I only go here if i don't feel like walking a few blocks out of my way going to the beach.
