I got a root canal, post and crown done here about March 2012. Root canal was the worst pain I've ever felt in my life, but that's possibly not the dentist fault. On the other hand... Yesterday, I went to a different dentist office because the crown was loose and I live far now.
X-ray shown that the post was too short and loose, and also illustrated that I should have gotten a fiber post to make it more flexible, according to dentist. So I had to do the whole procedure over again!
This new dentist took off the crown and compared it to my other teeth and asked why the previous dentist gave me a yellower shade, I said I don't know, maybe they thought my teeth would get more yellow hahaha but nope.
When Nancy did my temporary, it was shorter than the rest of my teeth. At the time I thought that was normal, but after having a temporary by this new dentist, I know she could have made me look normal.
My current temporary is nicer than my old crown, as it's actually the correct length! The old crown was too long, so now I'm waiting on the new crown and it's going to actually match my teeth.
The dentist told me he can tell the company that makes the crown have the tip slightly transparent, like my other teeth. I didn't know that was an option.. Nancy didn't give me any options!
Price-wise Nancy was 1/2 cheaper, not that I knew that going in. I just went on delta dental and choose her based on yelp. My new dentist was also delta, but cost twice as much for a job that should only be done once. Not that I knew either prices going in, but thought I should note it.
The front desk and assistants were nice, as well as dentist. I've avoiding eating hard things and haven't had any hits to my mouth in constant fear of what could happen. Nevertheless, it happened anyways. read more
