Elizabeth took us to Lemon Tree Gift shop first where you have an opportunity to see so may unique gifts many produced by local crafters. We also spent time in the Artisans Art Gallery (most of us went back to either of the stops after the tour because we had seen something to purchase). However, the highlight was the four restaurants on the tour where we were treated to such incredible food pairings. Trust me when I say, no one left hungry! We were treated to unique American dishes, BBQ, seafood, and home made doughnuts and ice cream. One example, The Cattle Dog is owned by a five star chef who brought his culinary skills to this quaint town. I highly recommend you book this tour for a fun, fabulous, food tour in the lovely coastal town of Crystal River.

Not only did we get to know a bit of the towns history, we got to eat incredible food and meet incredible people. I chose for us to do a private tour and it did not disappoint. It was a great day to experience Inverness, Florida! What a beautiful, small town. I highly suggest booking one of these tours, Elizabeth was highly knowledgeable and knew the towns history backwards and forwards. Highly recommend! Great experience that was not expensive. Well worth it!

Scott, our tour guide was so fun and played the 90's music while we rode the fun golf cart ride! One of my favorite one was the wine and cheese spread at the top floor of cathedral with a beautiful view of the city. The eggplants spread, goat cheese with honey on a rustic bread was amazing and the wine was wonderful. What a fun way to explore the historic st. Augustine through food, amazing wine, view of downtown, and places to visit per our tour guide recommendations. I definitely recommend this tasting tour for a fun day in st. Augustine.

Getting this activity 'on the books' was more than aggravating, to say the least. The tasting tour…read moresays that to text them is a quicker option for response to inquiries (for them.) It most definitely didn't seem that way! They DID get back to me via text, but it wasn't in a quick fashion. I'd say an semi-acceptable fashion (within 8-12 hours.) Regardless, we DID get our event scheduled for a private tour with (15 people.) It was quite an expensive 'private tour' of the night of lights that was explained to me as tho the grinch (driving one trolly) and Santa (driving another trolly) would interact with one another (more than minimally) and make the tour exclusive to all 15 of us. They would hop off one trolly and interact with the passengers of the other trolly, etc. In reality, it was NOT a collective tour. The grinch separated from the other trolly and it was essentially two separate tours. Approximately 3-4 times they interacted with one another (acting as tho one would hit the other's trolly, yelling insults at Santa, responding to the grinch, and stopping at the 'duck bar' for the ambush together.) The address to initially meet at is kind of hard to find, even with GPS, as well! There is NO indication of 'the tasting tours' business name on the store front at the address. It is a Cuban bakery.' YES, we all had a good time.... But I don't want the rest of you that book a 'private' tour to be mislead or pay for something you won't receive. *** I also find it distasteful that the company charges an unprecedented amount of money for the trolly rides and then has the audacity to send an email asking for further tip for the trolly drivers.*** Whether a patron tips or not is up to them, not a business owner requesting it!

Want to spend 3 hours on a guided stroll down Park Ave stopping in restaurants, shops and learning…read moreabout some history? Check this out! Nice for locals and visitors. Having seen a lot of post cards for this event around Park Ave, we decided to give it a try this past weekend. We went with the Saturday tour and unfortunately, we were interrupted with some rain during our tour so we didn't get the full history and stroll that usually is part of it. Bummed but we didn't let it stop us from having a good time. Reid was our guide for the day and also a founder of this Food Tour. He was fun and very lighthearted throughout our experience. I do feel that since there was rain we missed most of what the tour was trying to accomplish, which was to give us a history lesson as well. I do have to say, I didn't learn much but since we were scurrying to each location, I know it was difficult. They do warn you of the rain, I mean, hello! It's Florida! So they recommend bringing an umbrella! Do yourself a favor and do that if there is more than 30% chance! You will be glad you did. For a $47 price tag, check out the stops we headed to and keep in mind, they are the same stops for each tour but they will be adding a new tour of the other end of Park Ave in the next few months. This is a tour of 6 businesses which consist of: Prato Ancient Olive The Spice & Tea Exchange Orchid Thai Cuisine Kilwin's Sassafras Sweet Shoppe Prato I have been various times so I already knew it was going to be a great kick-off to the tour. When you booked, there were an option of Wine or Beer. I went for the wine and a red wine was waiting as we were seated at the table. We tried 2 of their pizzas and had their house bread as well. It was lovely as you really can't have a bad experience in Prato. However, I think this would have been a great opportunity for someone from Prato to chat about their business but Reid did a pretty good rundown. Ancient Olive By far, Ancient Olive took the cake for being the highlight of the tour. WOW! Not only does this shop rock in it's own right, they know how to host a tour of people who love food and want a taste of local. We had someone from Ancient Olive walk us through an Olive Oil & Balsamic tasting, think Wine tasting but with Olive Oil & Balsamic. They also had some tapenade and a goat cheese spread with balsamic and almonds to snack on. They carry a local all-natural beverage mixer as well, Bungalow23 and we had the Prickly Pear. Just when we thought we were already in heaven, another door opened: Ice Cream with Olive Oil and salt... OMGGGGG... I could have stopped the tour here and taken a bath in this. You are not supposed to shop on this tour but it was raining and I spent almost $70 here. Such a great stop. The Spice & Tea Exchange They have so many teas, salts, spices and peppers than you could ever imagine. The best part is they have kick-a recipes to use and we tasted two of them on this stop. Beer cheese dip and an orzo pasta. The pasta was delicious! We also had one of their cold brew teas. Lovely stop. I did feel a little rushed from here on out but that may have been because the rain kept us at the 2nd stop for a long time. Orchid Thai Cuisine I have been here and unfortunately, everything we tasted, chicken satay and their appetizer platter was everything I have had here before. Didn't get much of a new experience here and didn't really learn anything about the business except they have been there for 6 years. Kilwin's My least fav stop on the tour. Not sure why we went with Kilwin's since it's not local. When we arrive, we really didn't learn anything about the business and no one from there interacted with us. We had a taste of the Winter Park Mud, vanilla ice cream with chocolate chips and carmel. It was good but the ice cream wasn't very smooth, it was more crystalized. I am not into fudge so I gave mine away. It was the turtle fudge. Sassafras Sweet Shoppe I adore this store so I was excited to see this on the stop. However, we only spent about 2 minutes in here and grabbed cotton candy and went and ate it under an awning outside and were sent on our way. A very abrupt ending but it was still raining out so I guess we couldn't expect too much. Overall, wasn't blown away but I did it with 2 friends and the others that were on the tour were fun as well. It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon even if the stops and content didn't blow me away.

He's very knowledgable about the area and locations where we made stops. We also had great service at each of our stops, as Kiel is on a first name basis with everyone on Park Ave. I highly recommend this tour for out of town guests or if you'd just like to get to know your neighborhood a little bit better.

We booked through the website and had great communication about where to be, what to expect, etc. On the day of our tour, we arrived at the pick-up location a little early and our guide (Jessica) was already there waiting for us. The van was spotless and comfortable and our Jessica was very concerned with our personal comfort and safety. Along with my wife and I, there were two other couples, one celebrating and their 51st anniversary and a young couple in the military out for a fun evening (we are somewhere in the middle of these age groups). We all had a great time. Once the tour got rolling, so did the rain. It poured but that didn't distract from the experience too much. Jessica was very informative and entertaining and clearly is very concerned about everyone having a great time. She showed us sights of the city on our way and asked fun trivia questions. I'm kind of a "slow-to-warm-up" kind of guy and she made thing relaxed and fun right away. We stopped at four restaurants for food and drinks. She sampled Asian, Ethiopian, "American", and dessert. I don't want to give too much away because the stops change frequently and there's also a bit of joy in not knowing ahead of time what is coming next. At each stop our table was waiting and we were treated very well by the waitstaff (I was a little worried about being treated like a transient tourist being on a tour like this). At each stop they were ready for us and food and drink arrived quickly. There was time to relax and enjoy the company and the food but things moved along quickly. All-in-all, this was a fantastic tour. We will definitely do it again when we return to Orlando. We want to try the lunch tour, too. I think this is great for locals and travelers, alike.

The tour was just me and the one other person I was with so we sat together in the backseat. There were car seats available for kids. We met at 6877 S Kirkman Rd in front of a closed down Office Depot. I'm not sure why we met here. There was no food stop near this location. We visited, in order: 1) Stonington's Fried Shrimp 2) Tako Cheena 3) Yum-mi Sandwiches 4) 4 Rivers Smokehouse 5) Jeremiah's Italian Ice I've gone on countless other food tours. Here's how this one stacks up. The food portions were above average in my tour experience. They were large and mostly main food items, not dessert. At place 3 we had two items: a small smoothie and the two of us split a full sandwich. At place 2 we split three tacos. At place 1 we got some shrimp, catfish, corn bread and mac n cheese. Place 4 was a cup of BBQ pork with cheese grits on the bottom and coleslaw on top. Place 5 was an icy or gelato. Our guide tried to personalize our tour. He discovered one of us was in town on healthcare business an proceeded to point out all the local hospitals as we drove. I've learned more history on other tours, but perhaps Orlando just has less. I wouldn't know. What we did learn was interesting and presented in a fun way. We covered a lot of ground in the car and stopped on the side if the road in a few locations. I'd change: In other food tours the guide called ahead to the restaurant to say we were coming so the food was ready upon our arrival. This didn't happen on this tour, though it's a nice touch as it keeps the pace up. Our guide stood in line and ordered at each restaurant while we sat down. Then we all sat down and waited as the food was cooked. Calling ahead would speed the tour up. Secondly, none of the owners or managers or chefs (or even waitress for that matter) of any of the restaurants came out to speak to our group, which is common on food tours in my experience. I missed hearing the restaurant's perspective on the food and the establishment's history. Our guide did provide some.
