Here it is just as I've plated at it after 10 minutes in my motorcycle cargo case

I saw an article in the newspaper a month ago about a good restaurant that was opening in my area. It wasn't till I was walking with a friend and he recommended it. I decided to check it out, and today was the day. I had no idea I'd be posting a review so I didn't take pictures of the interior of the exterior. And to be honest I rode my motorcycle there to pick up the food and it was a 10 minute ride back home. I just have to say the sandwich was really really good. Above and beyond your average deli sandwich. Good food should be encouraged.

Spoke to the owner and found out that this is their second location. The first one is in Danbury. I didn't see any sandwiches when we went. It had a big assortment of baked goods such as breads, quiche, muffins, etc. the owner mentioned the breads are baked on premise but the pastries are baked and delivered from their Danbury store. We had the French cream donut and the chocolate almond croissant. Let me tell you, do not leave without trying the the donut. The cream was like putting a perfectly sweetened cloud into your mouth. They were just putting over a dozen into the display and within 15 minutes while we were there enjoying our pastries, all but one was left. The croissant was also perfectly crisp on the outside and flaky on the inside. I would call to see check if they sell sandwiches. Other reviewers may have confused the New Milford store with the one in Danbury. I did not see any sandwiches for sale when I was there and the storefront says OV Organic Bakery. All in all, definitely worth a visit and will be back!

I typically wait until I've been to a place more than once before writing a review, to know what the average experience is like. I've been here a number of times now, and while I will share some praises, it is becoming increasingly difficult to look past the customer experience. I know I'm not alone in this, as I have been there while a handful of other customers have been experiencing issues, mainly long waiting times and lack of communication. The last time I was in store waiting for a sandwich, others had been waiting for quite some time (and one had definitely ordered ahead). Only one person was in the back making sandwiches, while two employees were standing in the front...standing...with nothing to do, while customers waited and had no communication about the status of their orders. We were there for at least 15 minutes, and they were all there before us. Someone finally went up and asked if she could at least have the drink she ordered while she waited - they asked for her order again and then made the wrong thing. After about 10-15 minutes, one of the employees from the front finally went to the back to help make the sandwiches. This isn't a unique experience. The first time we went and ordered sandwiches, we waited for ages only to discover our food was discreetly waiting on the back counter and no one ever mentioned it was ready, including the two staff members we placed our order with, who were just standing at the front counter looking around. Most recently I ordered tea, a cup of tea with oat milk, and it took four attempts to settle on a drinkable cup. The batch of cups seem to have a serious leaking issue, and unfortunately I can't seem to drink hot tea out of a plastic cup with a straw. I'll work on it. I have been to the Danbury location as well, and with only one person working, several basic hot drinks took at least 10 minutes...I didn't order any food that visit because the cases and trays looked pretty dirty, though I've never thought that about the New Milford location which typically looks very presentable. Now, on the plus, and why I keep coming back to this place despite my elevated blood pressure, the food is really tasty. I'm having a minor love affair with the French cream donut, and my husband is totally on board. For me it hits the perfect spot, the cream is fluffy but with substance, just sweet enough, and the donut has a hint of lemon (I think) that elevates the whole experience. I've also been known to dabble with the apple almond tart and have no complaints. The Turkey Cobb sandwich tastes fresh and is satisfying, even on one of their bad days. So yeah, I keep coming back for good food and gosh, I really wish that donut weren't so good...or that they'd just iron out the service issues! Then this review would be 5 stars and a million more. Come on a day when all you need is a donut, or when you have endless patience and don't mind losing a little :)

Looking for a good snack and found this organic place that serves pastries, croissants, quiche which i tried and they were all fantastic! Yanela was great, very helpful and knowledgeable about the products as well!

Blueberry smoothie

This spot is clean and bright! The staff is very friendly. I went when it wasn't busy so there was no wait. I got 2 blueberry smoothies- it was good but a little basic. The fruit was frozen which isn't bad, but fresh fruit smoothies taste better. Probably wouldn't order this again

We're briefly updating our commentary about the Bantam Market, but our thoughts about it haven't…read morechanged all that much. It remains a small, independently owned store with a surprisingly full stock, lots of fresh meats, deli items, produce, a large beer cooler with all the local and foreign brands you night desire, and a very friendly and helpful staff. We're especially fond of the nice folks behind the deli counter. Our complaints are about the same: the prices hover on the high side. The prices are generally quite a bit higher than the nearby Stop and Shop, but honestly, the quality of their locally produced items is far higher. Still, if you're buying some basics like soup or milk, you'll pay more here, and some prices can be really way up there. Sometimes we're frustrated by that, other times we're grateful to find some delicious fresh fish or prepared salads. Bantam is not our first market of choice, but we're here regularly for some things we like and want.

A small neighborhood market with a kickin' deli. Not really the place to do "normal grocery…read moreshopping", as others have previously stated, it's on the expensive side (in some cases, outrageously so). But if you're looking for unique food items, this is your place. For me, I stop in often just to pick up some fried chicken from the deli, it's the best around -- juicy & meaty, but not greasy, and the coating is very tasty. $6.99 a pound. That fried chicken is 5 Stars every time. Friendly crew, but the checkout can be a bit of a process though, the place does a brisk business, and the parking lot is always full.

Averill Farm

About time for a re-review…read more... Oh Averill Farm... How do I love thee? Let me count the ways. - The farm is family run and truly feels like it. The folks who work there are SO nice and helpful and friendly and kind. There are kiddos and farm pups running around, kind signs offering water for those who need it (in stark contrast to a certain corporate orchard we despise, which does not provide drinking water to patrons and does not allow patrons to bring water in, even for dogs). Averill is the kind of simply humane, thoughtful place that brings joy to my heart. - The farm is beautiful. So beautiful. On a coolish autumn morning, it's uncrowded and you can gaze out into the distance to see tractors mowing in distant fields, outlined against a periwinkle sky, rows and rows of neat trees, all impeccably well kept. Adjacent to the farm market, there's a big, wide field with a generous number of picnic tables placed all around, far enough from one another that you can pretend like you have the field all to yourself. - Farm produce and products are pure goodness. Apples and pears are magnificent, of course: juicy, healthy, not doused with pesticides. Cider donuts are freshly fried, well blotted, and not overly sweet. An apple crumb pie, redolent with butter and still warm at purchase, was world class, not overly sweet. Pear and apple cider are the embodiment of clean, adulterated fruit flavor. It's food I feel good about feeding to my kiddos. - The bathroom is a port-a-potty situation, but the one I used was pretty clean. There are four behind the farm store. - Pricing is fair. - Fellow patrons are civilized and respectful, which makes me so happy. Policies are generous, rules are reasonable -- and as a result, patrons don't feel like they have to claw back something from the business to even out the playing field. At some large, commercial places, you see some patrons pull apple after apple off of trees, take one bite, and then throw them down into the grass to rot (so they feel like their insanely high cost of entry is justified, I speculate). Averill owners and Averill patrons are respectful of one another, making for a truly pleasant visit. If you enjoy a bucolic, relaxing and beautiful apple picking (without the gaudy carnivalesque elements offered by some larger establishments), Averill Farm is an absolute must.
