There are very few people I'd want to spend 2am breast feeding and pumping with, and I'm so glad it was with Tiffany the first night we came home from the hospital. We were fortunate to have Tiff as our doula during our baby boy's first month. She's truly such a good, positive person and even though I didn't want to be up at 2am and 4am, I actually looked forward to our chatter during those hard hours. Literally cannot express my gratitude enough in this small review. I had both Sandra and Lucy, both were so amazing with my son! I didn't match well with the first nanny Silvia but Sandra reassured me immediately and got me someone I had a better fit with. They are so professional but also very loving and gentle, I was completely comfortable having them in my home and caring for my baby. They were detailed in what went on every night and even sleep trained my son! My son is almost 13 months now and the MOST AMAZING SLEEPER. I don't have to rock/hold/soothe him to sleep. No pacifier. Nothing! I just lay him down awake and he goes down on his own. We worked with an Newborn Care Specialist (NCS) with my first child, so I had an idea of what we were looking for. I interviewed around and felt confident with Sandra given her good reviews, experience, and attention to safe sleep and health practices. I am a pediatrician and wanted to ensure whomever worked with my daughter would be safe, as well as nurturing and comfortable in our home environment. Sandra helped me triage many small but important challenges over our time together- nursing positions, pumping schedules, clogged ducts, improving sleeping overnight, and sleep training recommendations. She is very experienced, knowledgable, and helpful. Our contract was for 6 weeks, but we extended the time we worked with her for about 3 months just to have some additional night help. I found Sandra's presence to be a welcome presence in our home during a sensitive time- she is lovely, super easy to talk to, and very kind to my 5 year old son who was going through his own adjustments of having a sibling. Sandra is amazing! I called her to inquire about purchasing a sleep training package for my 3.5 month old. Unfortunately she was booked at the time for in home sleep training but promptly provided me with alternate packages, which I greatly appreciated. My son was going through the four-month sleep regression and was up every 1.5-2 hours. I was drained and needed support, because I felt defeated. Sandra was very kind to offer me support over the phone that evening and guided me to allow my son to self soothe himself back to sleep. My wife and I are so happy and relieved we found Sandra and her team! In less than one week, we are getting the best sleep at night that we've had in nearly a year. The sleep deprivation was definitely putting a strain on our mental and physical health. We were looking to start an in-home sleep training program to help our 11 month old daughter fall asleep on her own without a pacifier, and fall back to sleep on her own. We used an online sleep training program when she was about six months old that worked in the beginning but we had trouble staying consistent with it. At the time we found it easier to rock her back to sleep at 3 in the morning rather than waiting it out with the sleep training method. The three nights of in-home sleep training and the support and advice from Sandra and her team have been a game changer for us. Their response time to questions, even before we signed on, is excellent. It was so helpful to get a detailed report from the previous night, which included a log of all wake ups, crying and interventions as needed. Hiring Sandra to help sleep train my baby boy was one of the best gifts I could have received. Before hiring her, I had to hold my son (nearly 8 months at the time) all night long in order for him to sleep, with him nursing on and off. I had been doing this for over 2 months straight and as you can imagine was beyond exhausted, having very little respite with a super active 4 year old in the picture as well. I tried so many things to get him to sleep on his own, but was unsuccessful and really needed the help of someone else who knew what they were doing, especially with my husband gone half of every month for work. Before having her come over to do the night training, she coached me for two weeks to get him on a good schedule, napping in his own crib and room, and just being a general support. The night she came over was pure magic. I wasn't sure how things would go as he was so super attached to me and was still protesting naps, but he warmed up to her immediately and during the night only woke a few times and went back to sleep on his own. Ok, so I HAVE to update my review because Sandra just helped me sleep train my 12-week-old baby and I could cry it made me and my baby so happy. Of course, Sandra did not push me into anything- when I was lamenting to her that I had to go back to work soon and was worried about sleeping, she mentioned that she thought the baby was ready to be weaned from night feeds and could sleep 12 hours straight- but only if I was ready! Um, 12 hours of sleep? Yes please!! She stayed at our house for 4 nights in a row and used a gentle Ferber/Sleep Solution method of regular 3-minute check-ins. She also taught me how to feed on a schedule during the day that drastically improved her napping schedule - no snacking! The baby rarely cried during the process (15 min max) and it was such a smooth transition! 4 days later we were sleeping 12 hours every night! Sandra was always available by phone and text all throughout the day and would answer all my questions- "Help! The baby woke up early from her nap! What should I do?" "We went to Mommy and Me class and she slept in her car seat on the way home. Should I put her down for a nap or have waketime?" She was always there for me. Sometimes I would send videos, pictures, etc and she would promptly respond with helpful suggestions. I am truly sad that we no longer need Sandra because she was such an important part of our lives during this time. My 5.5 month old was waking 5+ times a night, and napping no longer than 30min. It was exhausting and I was at my wits' end. First off, I would highly recommend Sandra! My husband and I were literally drowning in crappy baby sleep, having trouble pinning down a good schedule, and not sure if we are feeding our 7 month old baby solids at the right time. You can only survive so long without a schedule for a baby. Because of her inconsistent nap time and wake up time, it was also impossible to do any work. Some of the problems we came to Sandra with were catnapping (started around 3 months and was still sometimes happening) and not being falling asleep by herself (we would always rock or walk her to sleep). In about 2 weeks, our baby is able to fall asleep by herself and do 2 naps that's mostly an hour and a half! Now she is 8 months old and we have a life again . I cannot say enough good things about Sandra and her team! My first child was NOT EASY to sleep train. We tried many programs and nothing seemed to work. I knew with my second I could not go through that again so before she was born we began looking into sleep consultants/night Nannies. I spoke with several but felt that Sandra's plan was most in line with my goals. We hired her to come up with a sleep plan (day and night) and a newborn care specialist to help us at night with the transition from swaddle/bassinet to sleep sack/crib. We used Sandra as our sleep consultant for our 4 month old son. Within 3 days my son went from waking every 45 minutes-2 hours (requiring me to nurse him to sleep) to only waking twice a night. Sandra recommended her 2 week consultant package where she gave me a detailed schedule, offered support and had a telephone consultation. It was so nice having someone support me during the process. As I write this, I'm reminded of the days when my baby would wake up 10 minutes after I spent over an hour putting him to sleep. Those days are behind me now. THANK GOD!!!!! As a single mother and weaning my son off nursing, getting him to sleep was a challenge because we would nurse to sleep for naps and at night time. Baby and I started loosing sleep because of the transition we were going through. He was unhappy tired and cranky all day from lack of sleep. I was sad to see my baby not able to enjoy himself, It was even harder for me to be the optimal parent because I was always tired from spending hours everyday trying to get him to sleep. This was our first night nanny experience, and I am SO happy we used OC Newborn. Lucy made the process easy, and I felt very comfortable with our newborn in her care. I was always happy to see her and share our daughters sleep progress along the way.
