My fiancé bought us dance lessons for Christmas (the package with 4 private lessons and 4 group classes) and we have had SO much fun! I grew up dancing a bit, but neither one of us had really done anything ballroom related (Samba, ChaCha, Waltz, etc). Our teacher, Arina, was incredibly encouraging and did such a great job teaching both our privates and group classes. We were obviously very new, but everyone at the studio was so kind and remembered us every time we came in. It definitely has a family feel and, coming from two people who aren't taking lessons to compete or anything, the lessons were very fun but challenging, and such a great excuse for a weekly date night! Wonderful studio, with wonderful teachers who take the time with each individual student. We are happy to make the trek from Redondo Beach to Newport Beach (for over a year and counting) so our kids can get the attention & coaching they need to gain confidence in dancing and making new friends. This is a great skill for the kids to have as they grow up. As a dad who used to be the wallflower during school dances I'm very excited to see my son becoming confident on the dance floor, with the lights at their brightest. Able to easily make many new friends at any of the competitions they go to. He is becoming stronger and more motivated to be able to lift up his sister and twirl her around like the big boys.
