Ordered a bouquet for Valentine's Day multiple days ahead of time from here, and very specifically mentioned that I wanted light pink roses even pointing them out in the store, and was told that they could accommodate and paid ahead of time. On pick up, they had the wrong roses in the arrangement, and would not at all accommodate fixing their mistake, only giving me the option to either take it as is or leave it. Mind you they also charge a significant amount for preparation of the arrangement so would expect much better service. Wouldn't recommend this place, better off getting your flowers from elsewhere. read more

It was absolutely beautiful upon arrival, yet in less than 4 days the entire bouquet was wilted with flower petals dropping off stem way faster than any floral arrangement I have ever bought in the past. Flowers were watered and cared for so this is truly unacceptable as I've had flowers from ordered from other florist before and I've never had them die this fast. We have been using Oberer's for years. They are our go to florist for the Dayton and surrounding area. No longer living in Ohio it is vital to have florist you can trust that will deliver quality products time and time again. We have only ever had an issue 1 in the 20+ times we have used them over the 10 years and when they were told of the problem it was corrected right away. I won't trust any other Dayton area florist for our needs. We have used them for birthdays, mother's days, Christmas and even funerals. The quality of arrangement for the price is totally worth it. I have loved Oberers arrangements for years but there has been a steady decline in quality specifically at the Dayton location. I ordered the beautifully colored arrangement on the left and the delivery was the drab bushy green one on the right. Other members of my family ordered numerous arrangements for the same occasion. All of them were not made to order or were missing entirely. When they called to complain, they were treated horribly and at a time when they were dealing with a death in the family. It's not the same quality and service I have come to expect from Oberers and I will not use them again. read more

I have used Oberer's twice and both times were terrible! After the first bad experience, I chalked it up to the Greenwood location being newly opened. So I gave them another chance and it was terrible too! Both times they had not even started my order when I arrived to pick it up, promised they could have it done in 20 minutes, and actually took over an hour to complete it! I even spoke to Steve, the corporate operations manager, and was promised a refund, a sixty-five dollar credit, and two free passes for a flower arrangement class. I did get the refund, but when I called to used the credit and schedule the class, they said nothing was on my account. I called Steve at corporate again (he was not in that day), and was told he'd call me back the next day. It has been a week now and I still haven't heard from him or anyone else! read more

Stay away from the West Chester location...we had a problem with an arrangement sent to us last month, it leaked and ruined a piece of wood furniture, and the flowers didn't last a week. Since then, I've called, sent four emails and mailed the manager a hand written letter. I NEVER heard back. Today I received a delivery from my cousin, the roses were old, wilted, hanging open and droopy, they were dead. I can't believe anyone saw this dead, sad looking garbage and thought it would be ok to deliver to someone. It's like serving burnt food to a customer in a restaurant. I drove it to West Chester (22 miles) to show it to the manager, the same manager that never responded to me. I had my cousins money refunded to her. Sad. Customer service and knowledge of Peace Lillys was horrible two years in a row I've had very successful peace lilies for multiple years These potted flowers are very heavy and my health is gotten worse Last year purchased a peace Lilly From this florist that was not planted to include proper irrigation so it died in June. This year I called multiple times to assure could be done to my specifications, and confirmed delivery of another peace Lilly planted in a container with holes in the side of the container. The florist shop agreed to do it my way regardless of how they've done it in the past. I also requested a call when delivery was to occur so I could validate the plant was to my satisfaction. This is after three phone calls to get confirmation the order was to my specification. In all calls I was assured the Lilly would be planted in the container with my specifications I Did not get the plant with irrigation holes in the side. Call back. Talk to the same people I had talked with three times before. They took the flower gave my money back. And refused to let me talk to a manager... So they don't know flowers. Just order from them already!!!! I looked and looked over a few days and then forgot to order!!! I couldn't find one that was perfect for one of my best friends grandfather who had passed. I picked the 'garden bowl' from your website - precisely because of the beautiful pastel colors (pink, lavendar, soft yellow) and mix of flowers. I realize I paid for the cheaper version, and I expected it to be much smaller, but I assumed it would at least look similar!  What was delivered was a weird mish-mash of flowers that looked shoved together at random. No cohesive color (ORANGE, lavender and gold) or shape.  Oberer's used to be known for the most beautiful arrangements but what was delivered fell so far below my expectations.  I'm sorry to say that I will not be using or recommending Oberer's again. read more

I've ordered flowers through Oberer's many many times in the past for funerals and special occasions but never had the problems I had this Mother's Day. Two weeks before Mother's Day, I ordered 4 floral arrangements to be delivered on that special day to two addresses for 4 very special mothers in my life. When mother's day arrived, I received 2 emails stating all of the flowers had been delivered at 9:26am. After calling my mother-inlaw and confirming the delivery with of 2 floral arrangements, I called my mother at 11am to check on the other delivery. My dad checked all of the doors, including the garage doors at 11am and then at 11:30 without any luck. I'm currently stationed in another country and let Oberer's know this when I called. That didn't prevent them from putting me on hold multiple times. The last person I talked to was very rude/short with me. In as few words as possible, he told me he would send arrangements out to the address and hung up. I was thinking I'd get an apology but got nothing but a dial tone. I was really hoping for an email stating the flowers were delivered but because I'm 8.5 hours ahead, I didn't find out my mom had received the flowers until I called her the next day. I will be out of the country for the next several months. My 25th wedding anniversary is next month, my wife's birthday is shortly after, and there are several other reasons to send flowers while I'm not at home but it wont be through Oberer's. I'm actually ordering flowers right now for a friend in Dayton and not going to use Oberer's because I need to guarantee these arrive. read more

Oberer's has always provided the most incredible arrangements. Though I do not live in Dayton, I have recommended Oberer's and used them for every flower delivery. This rating is based off my recent experience in sending my mom flowers for her birthday. The roses arrived wilted so I emailed. After a day of no response from Oberer's, I called. The arrangement looked as if it was a Valentine leftover. I was told, "M'am, it's below 20 degrees here and we have 8 inches of snow." While I understand weather complications, it should not greatly affect a good product. The flowers were brought inside immediately after delivery. Other flowers from other shops were delivered with no issues. I am fine with a replacement or refund, but blaming the weather is ridiculous. Stand by your product regardless of Mother Nature. Updated: a new, fresh arrangement was delivered. It's a huge improvement. read more

I am absolutely disappointed with Oberer's surprising my parent for Christmas. I ordered a flower arrangement and door dash dropped it off by mailbox and not into a box, carnations were left out for hours and wilted/ brown. I called back to complain and I spoke with rep and she said it would be upgraded to a bigger arrangement so the redelivery was incorrect. I was lied too about the upgrade and so I called back very upset and complained. Now the rep said they would upgrade and get it out today. I don't trust Oberer now and I am a pretty regular customer. Surprisingly Oberer did redeliver my upgrade today to my parents so thanks for doing the right thing and I will say the arrangement was beautiful and my parents are overjoyed read more
