Since I live out of state, I searched online for a local florist in the Dayton area to have an arrangement delivered to my mother-in-law for her birthday. I was very impressed with the photos I saw at The Flower Shoppe so I called them. The gentleman I spoke with was very helpful when I explained that my MIL is a lifelong artist not prone to the 'ordinary' such as roses. He put my mind at ease when he told me they use premium flowers and he was not kidding. The creativity and artistic styling of the arrangement they delivered was absolutely amazing! She LOVED it and said this will be her go-to florist from now on, as it will be mine, when ordering for family and friends in that area. Stunning! After reading the reviews here on Yelp we called The Flower Shoppe to take a cheer arrangement so a friend recovering at MVH. Per John's tip I gave them free license, and they totally delivered! The flowers were just stunning, sophisticated and unique. Someone really put all their creativity and talent into that arrangement. Our friend is getting many, many compliments on his flowers! I've added pictures but unfortunately the light is terrible in the rooms and there was no way I could do the flowers justice with a camera phone. Oberer, Furst, etc. - look out because Flower Shoppe is the David to your Goliath... The Flower Shoppe first came to my attention in a professional capacity - they provided florals for some of our clients' events such as wedding receptions, and did some really fantastic work. Our company has also used them, and I recently had them deliver an arrangement to my wife for our anniversary, which she loved. Mark and his team do great work, and they are very imaginative and creative using lots of unique and exotic items (think papyrus, etc.) resulting in some pretty stunning results. If you need someone who will focus on your needs and really connect the decor with the theme or concept of what you're doing, work with these folks. I know a lot of people are finding their way to the Flower Shoppe through word of mouth, and you'd be wise to give them a call the next time you're looking for something for that special someone or event.... read more

Mark and the Flower Shoppe are absolutely amazing. This review is for our wedding last October. I'm from Dayton but planned our wedding from California. As we were planning from a distance, we had to meet with vendors on quick trips back to town. Not only does Mark have a fantastic reputation (I can't believe there are only 3 reviews here), but he has a great approach to meeting with potential clients. Everyone else we met with (standard wedding floral vendors for Dayton/Oakwood/Kettering area) first asked our budget and then told us what they could do- often saying they could do additional "special things" but that this would take us over budget. Mark, on the other hand, took time to listen to what we wanted and then built out a recommendation- sketching out types of arrangements, types of flowers (based on what I said I liked)- and built his plan out to tell us what the budget would be. I felt that for the creativity and service even during that initial conversation, the plan was spot on and the budget was reasonable. Not only that, but Mark was also more than happy to help us in ordering the linens and chairs for our reception to ensure that everything went together well and was taken care of the day of our wedding. The flowers and overall arrangements at the church and reception were GORGEOUS. We still get compliments on the flowers from guests over a year later. I would really recommend that anyone looking to host an event in Dayton with a need for flowers- professional event, weddings, etc- meet with Mark and his team. They are fantastic. read more

Since I don't live in Dayton I was looking for a a florist not associated with teleflora or 1800 flowers for this occasion. In the past I have gone with internet flower orders and haven't had great results. The woman I spoke to on the phone was extremely friendly and helpful. Mark and his team are amazing. He did the flowers for our wedding six years ago and they were tremendous. Working with him was the least stressful part of planning the wedding. I have regularly ordered bouquets from him for my wife or my mom. When they ask what I want, I always say "I trust Mark" and they are always outstanding.
