The label of the primitivo

A wonderful and special dining experience. Definitely a "date night" or special family dinner location in a historic building of Prague. The service impeccable and servers take your coats and packages (from shopping) to a secure area. From start to finish I felt like the most important guest in the room in our party of 3. The food was fantastic! Maybe a little pricey but for these occasions well worth the experience. I would highly recommend and I would visit again when I am in Prague.

Stunning municipal house located in the heart of Prague. Here you will see a Austrian Empire building decorated with the best works of the Czech Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements. The building is richly decorated and there is something to see in every corner. Take the tour! You will see spaces in the building that you would not otherwise have an opportunity to see. The tour guide is also incredibly knowledgeable about the building and its history. Visit the Mucha museum before coming here for context and information on Mucha and his contribution to this incredible building. Highly recommend.

Absolutely gorgeous building that hosts wonderful classical concerts. We dressed in blue jeans and nice sweaters and were not underdressed. I wish that cell phone use (videoing) and talking were prohibited during the concert. I do not mind telling those talkers to hush though. My approach worked and I was able to enjoy a wonderful performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons and Gypsy Airs. This was such a wonderful experience near the beginning of our trip to Prage and it really set the tone for an awesome experience in this beautiful and history rich city. There is a nice coat check service downstairs and there are several restaurants inside as well. You could have dinner and music in the same building. Also enjoy the Mocha murals inside and out. I highly recommend this excursion to those visiting Prague.

Beautiful art deco restaurant

Incredible atmosphere in a beautiful art deco space. Attentive staff with coat check, friendly waiters, everyone spoke English, most were fluent. Amuse-bouche, great. Assorted breads with olive oil. Tasty Tomato, cucumber and onion salad, very good. I had Zander filet and my wife had the confit of duck. Both were perfect and exceeded expectations. Liked it so much, we may go back tomorrow night for steak.

As of September 2023, there is a big, amazing, and wonderful Mucha art exhibit at the Municipal House that far exceeds the official measly little permanent Mucha museum. Its also cheaper for 290K/$13 vs 350K/$19. The exterior building architecture is gorgeous and stunning art nouveau at its best...inside isn't quite as impressive, and security staff doesn't want you wandering unless you're on a group tour. Next I would try to attend a concert or show here to go the full effect. There are a couple of fancy cafes here too in case you want some slightly overpriced drinks and food to be consumed in gorgeous and elegant setting.

Food - I only got the chocolate cheesecake and it was really good! The cheesecake itself was not too sweet, what made it sweet were the gooey chocolate surrounding it. I'd give this one 5 stars actually. But again, I love sweet things, some may find it really sweet. Service - hmmm this is where I subtracted the star. There were wait staff there but I dont know if we can just seat ourselves or be directed to one. Well, we ended up seating ourselves in then we dont know who our server is. Good thing the main goal is to only try their dessert so food came quick. Ambiance - high ceiling inside the restaurant with like a naked lady sculpture in the front. Spacey and pretty is how I found it.

Came to this Municipal House for a concert one night and it was an amazing experience. The night we came in, they had 150 people orchestra and ticket was anywhere between $50 to $100 per person. We purchased tickets online and since they had English page process was easy. Everyone except us was dressed up in suits and dress. Since the orchestra concert wasn't on our original schedule, we didn't have any fancy clothes or shoes. I picked the cleanest shirts and fancy jeans. Although we obviously underdressed to the occasion, they didn't stop us from entering the venue. Orchestra was amazing. High level of music. It certainly became one of our highlights on our trip.

The service ann the ambience was amazing. This old fashion place was busy and we were serenaded by an accomplished pianist. The Turkish coffee could've been better!

This is one of the tourist spots in Prague to grab a meal. A group of us sat outside and our waiter seemed very annoyed with us the whole time. The food was good, it was about $30 for a meal and they will not spilt your check (which is not unheard of). They ran into one of my friends heads with a tray because they were in a rush and did not even bother to apologize. For a tourist location I expected better costumer service.

Not a bad place for a pit stop to have a drink and enjoy some people watching and the art deco interior which is really impressive. The desert trolley was being wheeled around and the contents looked really good but I doubt the waistline would thank you. Service is hit and miss.

Inside for the Royal Czech symphony orchestra

We saw a show they had here, you will see people selling tickets for nightly performances outside all day long. We ended up paying $25 per ticket for a show, which was nice. It featured the Royal Czech Orchestra, the show lasted about 70 min or so and was a nice way to get off your feet and relax for a little bit. I don't know if I would go back, but was glad I checked it out at least once after walking by it so many times.

Live music and can dine outside. Good traditional Czech food that is at a convenient location.

Nice place to sit, rest, and people watch. Nice beers, but iced cappuccino was terrible... Tasted like crazy sweet powered coffee.

I'll never forget the memories we made here. This was a performance/sight seeing tour so not only did our guides give us a history of the area and venues, but we were able to make our own. Not many people can ever say they've played here, especially not many Americans, certainly not from my area, or my background. The fact that we were able to secure the nations top concert hall for a foreign youth symphony was pretty special. I'm also kind of glad to have the 1st English review to really give a completely different perspective (I translated the previously posted reviews). Most Americans are uncultured, untraveled, and to some degree I am too, but without going into too much detail, this is a must for anyone. There are no other halls like this Imperial Concert Hall. Sure Germany has more famous composers, but neither the Opernhaus Dortmund or Konzerthaus have the prestige. You'll often see the Czech Philharmonic playing here. Other halls of this era tend to look more like bank's with the pillars, but the Mendellsohn statue and the ornate interior make this special. The curtains, the everything handcrafted, carved. It has some modern amenities, but has not lost it's old world feel. Compared to more modern halls the acoustics are excellent. The back hallways aren't as small as I'd thought, usually places have small back rooms and staging areas, the lighting is very bright to the performer, but dim to the audience. The seats are pretty comfortable, certainly for an hour or two. The bathrooms have modern amenities and even those are still pretty opulent. You can tell this place was built to stage performances to some high class folks with the coat racks, # of benches and the way the main hallways are designed. When you're on stage performing in a place like this you can almost hear the crowds of hundreds of years applauding you through the ages as you stand in the footsteps of greatness.

If you're into techno or just a more chill scene, you will love Cross Club. It had a very Steampunk/ industrial feel to it which I thought really fit its overall vibe. There were two small stages open when my boyfriend and I went, one upstairs and one downstairs. You can buy tickets upstairs to enter but make sure you have Crowns because they won't accept card or euros. Both of the stages had their own atmosphere, one was more chilled out techno that you just wanted to sway to and the other stage had a bit more upbeat music. If you're in Prague, you definitely have to come check this place out at least once. It really has such an open, free, and nonjudgmental environment. The crowd was very diverse ranging from old and young people which I thought was really cool.
