The office/support staff are all nice and display patience when engaged with patients. I specifically see Dr. Christian Dey and she is the absolute best! Her practice is busy so I recommend trying to stick to your appt time when you schedule it. I had to reschedule an appt and it took a couple of months for me to get another appt. All of my appointments are typically quick but thorough. The offices are closed from 12 to 1 for lunch but if you arrive during this period, you can still sign in ; the check- in process is easy and fairly quick. I really like coming to Eastern OB Gyn ...I always have a good experience.

Your life and time will be of no importance I found a lump in my breast in February of 2021. Made an appointment to visit my physician. At my appointment, I was told that I WAS OK and IT WAS NOT CANCER and to follow up in 6 months. I followed up with Eastern OBGYN in the 6 months only to be told I have stage 3 breast cancer and it's spreading fast. I am 28. My initial visit when I discovered the lump was with Eastern OBGYN PC where I have been a patient since 2017. Where my medical records note that I have complained of breast pain since 2017 and I have a family history of cancer. I was told by my oncologist that the abnormalities were noted in my initial exam back in February of 2021 but the drs didn't think anything of it because of my age. I am only 28 years old. I was 27 at the time of my diagnosis in September of 2021. 6 months after I noticed the lump, notified my physician, and was told I was ok.Not one person of any status within this hospital system has apologized for such a careless mistake. After 6 rounds of intense chemo, losing all of my hair.. a double mastectomy and an infection from the double mastectomy and over a month of radiation 5 days a week I am still having issues with this hospital system. Currently, I am in the process of completing 14 additional rounds of chemo and an additional drug. Dr. Ashley Fry is great. Dr. Anna Knight is literally an Angel on earth. She saved my life. The nurses are sent from heaven. Even after the surgery, I was bleeding profusely from one of my breast nipples, I visited my physician in tears and was told I was OK, it was not an infection and to just go home. A few weeks later, I myself discovered a huge infected hole on this very same breast that I was told by the doctors within this system that it was not an infection and I was ok and to go home. Again, I was ignored. I went to the ER a couple of weeks later and was told I had an infection and they had to remove the implant that was just placed bc of the reconstruction and mastectomy. I had surgery on July 30th by Dr. Santoro and I still have not received proper post op care a month later. I went to my 2 week post op appointment where I waited for nearly 2 hours just to be seen by the NP, Haley Miller, which I understand the Doctor gets pulled into a delivery etc but the lack of care from her staff was astounding. Miller asked how I felt after surgery. I stated fine snd she said "well everything looked good according to Dr. Santoro" No post op physical exam was done, my incisions were not looked at, my images were not reviewed and no additional follow up appointment was offered. I had to ask if I was cleared to resume to normal life activities after surgery and they looked at me like I was crazy. Additionally, miller proceeded to document that my behavior was not conducive for a physical exam even though I was never offered one. I am still trying to get an appointment for my surgical images to be reviewed. Meanwhile, my post op care was billed under global health plan for my surgery meaning insurance has already paid for post op care even though I have not received care that would meet insurance requirements. I brought this to the offices attention and they didn't care.

When I made an appointment with this clinic, I was just glad to be able to see them right away…read more When I walked in, after days of pain and the second month of that level of severe pain, I expected to be sent away being told nothing was wrong with me and I basically needed to just deal with it. I could have CRIED when every single person in the clinic was not just kind, but listened intently. They never made me feel rushed or that they didn't have time to talk about what was going on. They never acted dismissive. But I still expected after my ultrasound to be told they found nothing and to go home. But instead they were kind throughout the process and they DID find something and told me it was a good thing I listened to my body. They asked many questions after, getting a better idea of my history and current situation. They never rushed me or talked over me. Since it had been around two years, they asked if I wanted to do an exam since I was there, to also make sure everything else was okay. I said yes, because why not? I was already there. When I tell you that it was the most relaxed and comfortable exam I've ever had....I was blown away. They then took my labs because I mentioned I've been going through perimenopause despite my previous GYN dismissing it, so that they could look at my levels to make sure and also give them a clear picture of my current health and make recommendations if needed. I have NEVER felt so comfortable, understood, acknowledged, and validated as I did in this office. I will never go anywhere else and will recommend anyone and everyone I know to this clinic. I simply cannot say enough good things about my experience. PLEASE support this practice. I cannot express to you how absolutely amazing my experience was and how VASTLY different from any other experience I have ever had with a GYN clinic. I hope and pray they stay open, because I never want to go anywhere else. I also had a conversation with Dr. Hudson the same day about what had happened and he was understanding and wanted to make sure any and all of my questions were answered, as well as making sure I was well informed about the situation. He has worked very hard over the last years to build a practice that's different...that learns from mistakes and actively wants to do better. And it shows in the employees he has and in the way he listens and responds as well.

I came in through the ER Saturday after my water broke at home with intense abdominal pain, fever,…read morebleeding at the end of my first trimester. This is not my first pregnancy or pregnancy loss. I knew I was miscarrying our child. My contractions were every 2 minutes, rhythmic, that strengthened each time. My BP 150/60. HR 130s. Temp 101 with history of sepsis post loss. Dr. Tinker was on call and dismissed my concerns after a quick report of a heartbeat. The bleeding worsened while in the Triage and the contractions intensified. He blew it off as "cramping from an unknown virus". He said all of my labs "looked great" and told me to go home and rest. I asked to be hooked up on a monitor to look for contractions or test the fluid to ensure my water didn't break. Both requests denied because he said they would be "falsely positive". I was physically in so much pain I could not even walk. He kept reassuring me everything was okay, I was just sick..He said he knew this was scary from my previous loss and insinuated I was just anxious. I assured him this was not anxiety and that I wanted to stay but he said there was nothing he would do for me there. I went home and ended up laboring with my 2 small children. On Monday I called the OB office back with no answer, so I went back in. The ultrasound showed no fetus or placenta. A total loss at home with the false reassurance that this was all due to an unknown viral infection. I logged on to my patient portal later to find my labs were anything but normal that day. My urine culture even worse. He told us my Hct was 44 (well above normal) and it was 34 (less than normal). An eosinophil count of 90% (normal is 1-6%) with a lymphocyte count of 3% (normal is 20-40%). There were clear signs of infection and blood loss that day because I was, in fact, actively miscarrying our child in the ER, but this was covered up by Dr. Tinker's fabrication of my clinical picture. This is not my first experience with loss unfortunately as noted by Dr. Tinker. I had a loss at a different facility and they were able to make a handprint from my baby. It is my most prized possession. While we left that facility without a child, we left with hope from true compassion from those who cared for us during that tragedy. I will never have that opportunity because of Dr. Tinker's dismissive, condescending behavior. He rushed me out of the door and treated our loss like an inconvenience in his day. While no medical treatment could have saved my baby, the callus behavior made our worst day, worse and jeopardized my own life. I was never offered a prayer or a simple apology for our loss. For a Baptist hospital I am genuinely shocked at the lack of compassion and for the value put on a life itself. I pray that this doesn't happen to any other mom under their care. Every child is important and every mother should be heard.

She makes great recommendations and I feel like she actually listens to me. If I cannot build trust with my doctor or feel unheard, I will usually change. I have been with Dr. Aultman for several years, even before she was at Alabama Women's Specialists. If I am willing to follow a doctor, then you know they have to be superb. I highly recommend Dr. Aultman because she's a caring doctor, who puts her patients needs first.
