Decided to come and try this restaurant , was exited because Oaxacan Mexican food is one of my favorites , unfortunately customer service was terrible , no hello or anything , waitress did not check on our table at all. Caldo de Rez was 80% bone. Will not come back.

A great little twist to Mexican food. Oaxacan style food has its own flavor that is unique and exciting. Check out fried quesadillas, memelas, tlayuda, mole, and chapulines with handmade tortillas. Great bright decor and attentive staff round out this place beautifully. Something different to try every time

Stopped here on our way back from Sequoia National Park and had a great experience. The food was excellent - we got a molcajete oaxaqueño, which was a molcajete with 4 types of meat, salsa, onions, avocado, cheese, beans + tortillas. The tortillas are home made and delicious. The portion was very big! It tasted very fresh. We also got the huarache, which was basically the same ingredients but on 4 tortillas, which was also very good. The service was also excellent, our waiter helped us pick our dishes and she was very sweet. The restaurant was full of families (it was a Sunday). Really good and fun vibes. Would definitely recommend!

    Hair in the taco plate

This is for 5/11/25. Me and my family went to this restaurant in the evening.my sister ordered the taco plate when she went in to try the rice and found a hair in the rice. When we called the waitress over she said it wasn't a hair it was a fiber from a towel so my sister dug in and took out the hair and showed the waitress and then she was like ok it is a hair. We also noticed that none of cooks had any hair nets and the plates that they gave us were clean only from the top but the bottom of the plate there was dried food and cilantro so my guess is that they don't have a dishwasher. We wanted to talk to the manager but the waitress said the manager isn't even there there was no one in charge. This tells me this is a badly run restaurant that's going down hill. It's nothing like it was 2 years ago

I had a huarache oaxaqueño and that was good, my husband ordered a chile relleno and he said it was fine (presentation wise could have been better). My daughter ordered a plain cheeseburger with fries and it was not good. As you can see by pictures it was burnt I didn't see the bottom until she flipped it and said this doesn't taste good. She had to pick off all the burnt section. Also what kind of fries are those they look so sad and didn't give her that many. Sad to say the quality has gone downhill...if you don't know how to make a basic cheeseburger and fries don't offer it on the menu stick to Mexican/oaxacan food. Also the waitress was not in a good mood I guess they only make red salsa because I asked for salsa on the side and she said "it doesn't come with any" then she points at the complimentary salsa they offer with chips (not really complimentary because their prices are not cheap) and says that's the salsa. I guess they only have red salsa and no other kind. So disappointed with quality of food but more with the customer service. They need to do a better job at hiring.

    Best draft modelo .

This food is so authentic and delicious. Takes me back to grandma's kitchen. Service was great and amazing! It's beautiful inside feels like home .

Delicious traditional Oaxacan food, very good customer service. It gets a bit crowded it but if has a patio.

It was very authentic oaxacan food very nice service friendly personal. Very tasty food. Big portions. I ordered a mixta Tlayuda and it was very delicious and huge. Also we ordered some chapulines (grasshoppers) for appetizers and it came very good with some oaxacan cheese, avocado. Her horchata was very good size and flavorful. Ambience was familiar and clean.

Excellent food! First time here and loved the authenticity of the sea food. Great service too, our waitress was friendly and attentive.

My wife and I just want to keep coming back. It's a quaint and homely restaurant with the personal touches that make you feel comfortable, like the space was made for you. The staff is all helpful and prompt. The food is beyond delicious. I couldn't believe how good the red mole was, and ugh I don't know why more places don't have Oaxacan chorizo because I swear it is the best. I only wish they had enfrijoladas... maybe I can talk them into making me some lol. Seriously though, just be careful with the salsa. I tell people that I learned to speak Spanish by eating that stuff, it's that powerful. See you again soon!

This place is officially bookmarked for every future drive through Fresno!…read more The lengua and chicharrón tacos were honestly some of the best I've ever had. I also sampled the carnitas on top of crispy taco shells as well. The meat was incredibly tender, juicy, and packed with flavor, and the tortillas came out hot, fresh, and perfectly cooked. Every bite reminded me why simple food done right is hard to beat. I was hoping to try the mojara frita, menudo, and barbacoa, only to find out the menudo and barbacoa are weekend only specialties. Needless to say, I was pretty disappointed, but it also gives me a great reason to come back. What really stood out, beyond the food, was the hospitality. David, who appears to have been running the place for over 20 years, was incredibly charismatic and provided the kind of customer service that seems harder and harder to find these days. You can tell he genuinely cares about both the restaurant and the people who walk through the door. One of my favorite parts of the visit was when I saw the owner come out and greet the regulars and customers. The interactions felt sincere and heartfelt, not forced. There was a real sense of community here, as if customers weren't just patrons but part of an extended family. That kind of atmosphere is special and says a lot about the people behind the business. Great food, warm hospitality, and a welcoming environment--I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a weekend next time.

I don't think I've ever felt betrayed by Yelp reviews...until now…read more During a recent road trip we stopped here to picked up some lunch/dinner because tacos are quick and easy and their Yelp rating is high. Location/services: Upon entering the building I immediately noticed the heat. It was a hot 98 degree day and the restaurant felt like an oven and was maybe 3-5 degree cooler than it was outside. I then quickly noticed this was a very simple operation (almost like a food truck), and not much to the menu, but there were folks sitting and eating and a few others waiting to order, so I assumed the food must be great. We ordered 4 meals (tacos with rice/beans) which was meant to be eaten there but after waiting in line and feeling like we were in a hot box, we decided to make it to go. We sat and waited for our food (about 20 mins), we chatted and observed our surroundings and it became very apparent the restaurant was not maintained with basic cleaning because it was very grimy and just plain dirty. I then used the restroom and it was absolutely disgusting. Our ordered was called and the staff was very nice. The food: As I mentioned, we got 4 orders of tacos (all carne asada) with rice/beans, and we asked for salsa and limes. We got grilled jalapenos, lemons and one sandwhich baggy filled with red salsa. Not a big deal. The meat was fine but the tortillas were inedible. They were tough, flavorless, and greasy. The bean and rice were ok. We ate enough to curb our hunger but none of us finish our food. Upon my best judgement, I had convinced myself that the food was gonna be great because their Yelp rating told me so. I was so wrong! One last note, there was nothing here that resembled a bakery/panaderia. So if you think you could also grab a treat here, you are wrong.

What could have been a disappointing surprise turned into one of the best local dining experiences we've had in a long time. We had the pleasure of meeting Miguel himself, and his hospitality immediately stood out. He took the time to introduce us to several items on the menu and encouraged us to try a little bit of everything. I'm glad he did. The red beans and rice were absolutely phenomenal, and every single thing we tasted was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with pride. You can tell Miguel genuinely cares about both the food and the people he serves. What impressed me most wasn't just the food--it was the atmosphere. Miguel has a gift for making you feel welcome. His heart for hospitality is second to none, and it's obvious that serving great food and creating a great experience are his top priorities. If you're looking for a hidden gem in Clovis, this is it. Whether you're stopping in to catch a game, grab a meal with friends, or enjoy a simple flip-flop date night with your spouse, Miguel's is worth the visit. We'll definitely be back, and I can't recommend this place enough.

Miguel sells his auntenthic mexican food and Lisa sells her favorite sweet treats. By far on the market, they sell pretty bomb salsa! It's not like the generic salsa from store bought one, it's just like the unique homemade family recipes. And trust me, these are not as supper vinegary. I love Miguel's salsa! Miguel's message was to serve his community and bring his tradition to the table. He brought the flavors of Michoacan and Jalisco Mexico which were passed down from the Segura family. SERVICE :: I love Miguel's service! He personally serves you and greet you there. He offered me free chips and salsa while i wait. They were quiet busy but get things done quickly too. RATE : 5/5 SALSAS & CHIPS - COMPLIMENTARY:: His salsas and chips were the best thing I've ever recieved. He serves his famous red and green salsa with a little bit of ground beef on top. They go so well together. RATE : 5/5 RED SALSA :: It's hard to describe it here but it's roasty burnt salsa full of flavors. Not too vinegary. You just got to try it in person. RATE : 5/5 GREEN SALSA :: I personally love the green sauce more, in general. And still Miguel's green salsa still beats the red salsa. I can taste all of the greens and fruit in it. It may be advertised mild but the heat is there. It's about almost the same spice level as the red salsa. RATE : 5/5 ASADA TACO ($3.49) :: Besides his salsa, his tacos were amazing too. It's well seasoned, unique, and full of flavor. The asada is something that I've never tasted before. It's very herby, well seasoned to taste, juicy and tender! RATE : 5/5 TACOS DORADOS ($4.49) :: The tacos dorados were something different from what I've had before and were absolutely delicious. This taco reminds me of birria. The texture and flavor were also amazing. I asked for pork, it was supper moist, tender and juicy full of flavors. The cotija cheese brings a nice dry and light cheesy taste to it. And lastly, those pickled jalapeno just give a pop of juicy, sour, and spicy flavor. RATE : 5/5 PISTACHIO CREAMES ICED MATCHA (16oz - 6.49) :: Lisa use Tenzo brand. I've used and tried Tenzo before and it's hard to ratio the matcha. Over portion Tenzo match will be too bitter and too little too diluted. And yes, Lisa's Matcha was on the diluted side. The pistachio flavoring is light and taste artificial. The sweetness level is perfectly sweetend. Not too sweet. RATE : 2/5 NOTE : Spend anything above $50, get a $5 dollar off voucher for the next purchase. OVERALL :: Overall, it's a hidden gem that's definitely worth checking out! Don't forget his salsas, he do sell them on the side. I'll definitely go back for more and try his other menu!

We've never waited long to have our orders taken or to receive our food. Now... those enchiladas!
