My 3rd review on Yelp and needless to say this review is well needed. I found Christian on Yelp. I had taken the the time to read all of his great reviews. I reached out to him complementing his reviews and booked my appointment for a massage 3 weeks in advance to adjust my work schedule accordingly for my appointment. Received my confirmation email the day before my appointment. The morning of my appointment I get a text from Christian. The text saying he has to cancel my appointment for court. I'm thinking your just finding out the day of my appointment that you have court. I understand things happen unexpectedly. Court dates are typically well known days in advance. I read the reviews first, I noted the two negative reviews: I Yelp review everything and I write long reviews, in attempt to answer the questions you may have, as fully as I can. That's the short of it, I highly recommend this business! I luckily got a same day appointment as I couldn't quit my screams of pain attempting to navigate my home. I've spent 30 years between chiropractic care and what I found later to be the real issue, I needed massage therapy. I've had no insurance for a few years now and haven't kept my appointments and allowed small injury to become a mountain of injuries over a few weeks. Bodywork By Christian was clear across town but I told him I have auto-immune issues and fibromyalgia and I was so tied up I was in trouble, "I need someone who can read my body", I said. Yes I got what I asked for! There are very few massage therapists who have a seemingly instinctive ability to sense where your "tension" or I'll call them "knots" are. Yes it hurts when they are released and then suddenly they don't. It takes a lot of trust to put yourself under someone's hands and endure the pain, and you just hope you get someone who knows what they are doing. I found Christian to be polite, courteous, professional and knowledgeable as well as having that instinctive skill of making one feel as if they have been completely disassembled and reassembled. I like quiet time or use breathing and relaxation and do not mind some small talk. Everyone is different and that's a hard accommodation so if you have a preference, I would let him know but in my experience, I had nothing but pleasant conversation in a near intoxicated state as I was finally and gratefully so relaxed. Christian freed me up enough that I've gone from taking five minutes slowly crawling from the floor to the couch as that seemed the only way I could get up or down, to functioning nearly perfect when I left his office. One of the best massages I have gotten in the 20 plus years I've been getting massages. Great deep tissue massage lots of adjustments along the way. Room a bit small but didn't take away from the massage. The chiropractor was making a bit of noise adjusting his patients but again nothing too disruptive. I have one of those jobs that keeps me in a chair 99% of the time; as I've gotten older, my rejection of all suggestions from the ergonomics expert at work has resulted in persistent neck, back and arm pain. I try to get massage therapy on the regular so the pain never gets unbearable, but the past few months have been crazy and I've neglected my personal wellness. Thus I found myself in a great deal of pain during a recent trip to Phoenix. Desperate, I checked Yelp for a local clinic and found Christian. He was able to see me the next day in the comfort of my hotel room. I had reservations about inviting a stranger into my hotel room, but Christian immediately put me at ease with his friendly and polite demeanor. It's clear that he truly cares about his clients and their well-being, and he is passionate about wellness. Within one hour, he performed miracles on my neck, back and arms - SERIOUSLY! His rates are incredibly reasonable; he only charged me $40 after learning I found him on Yelp, which he did not have to do because I did not notice this when I read his Yelp page. His regular rate is much less than I would have expected for a first-rate massage at home (or in my case, in my hotel). If you have not been making time for a massage due to the price or because you haven't been able to fit it into your schedule, you're out of excuses! Christian is a magician! I've had many massages over my lifetime and none of them come close to what he can do. I had a pain in my shoulder that I suffered from for years. I tried acupuncture, a chiropractor, massages - nothing worked. Within one session with Christian it was gone. He really understands the muscles in your body and how to heal them. Went for a 90 min deep tissue, nothing fancy about the massage room but that's not important to me as much as the massage and the outcome. I came there with a lot of calf and quad pain (from a rigorous hike earlier in week) and left 100% better. Massage was thorough and even the conversation was good.
