I am beyond disappointed with my recent stay. I have been staying at this hotel for over 10 years…read moreand have visited more than a dozen times. Until now, I have never had a single complaint. This was the first time I have ever felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and honestly appalled by the way I was treated. Throughout my stay, I was repeatedly questioned by staff about what room I was in and asked to show my room key over and over again. It happened while I was trying to enjoy breakfast, while I was having coffee with my mom in the lobby, and even while I was relaxing at the pool. Having staff approach me during a swim to ask what room I was staying in was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. What made the experience even worse was how my family was treated. I travel to Boynton Beach twice a year to visit my mother, who lives locally. She was not trying to stay at the hotel--she was simply meeting me before we went out for the day. As she walked into the lobby, she was immediately interrogated by the front desk and asked what room she was in. When she explained she wasn't a guest but was there to meet me, she was told she couldn't even be in the lobby because she didn't have a room. Later, during my brother's wedding weekend, my mother, niece, and nephew were also questioned as though they weren't allowed to wait for me in the lobby or come up to my room during the daytime, despite the fact that I was a registered guest paying for that room. I initially tried to give the hotel the benefit of the doubt. I thought perhaps there had been security issues that required staff to be more vigilant. However, when I spoke with the general manager, he told me there had been no such issues. What truly turned an incredibly disappointing stay into one I will never forget was my conversation with the General Manager, Deon Weathers. Rather than listening to my concerns or trying to understand what happened, he flat-out told me there was "no way" his staff would have treated me that way and essentially accused me of lying. After more than a decade of loyalty and nothing but positive experiences, to have my honesty questioned was insulting and deeply unprofessional. I wasn't looking to get anyone in trouble. I shared my experience because I genuinely hoped the hotel would look into what happened and improve the way guests are treated. Good management starts with listening, taking concerns seriously, and being willing to investigate--not immediately dismissing a loyal guest's experience because it's inconvenient to believe. After more than 10 years of staying here, I never imagined I would be looking for another hotel when I come to visit my mom. But that's exactly what I'll be doing. It's heartbreaking because this hotel had always been my first choice. The repeated questioning, the treatment of my family, and especially being told that my experience "never happened" were simply unacceptable. I hope management eventually recognizes that accountability and respectful customer service matter just as much as a nice property. Unfortunately, this experience has permanently changed my opinion of a hotel I once enjoyed recommending.

Our family is planning a birthday party to celebrate my Mom's 90th birthday in a few months. Since…read moreI first made inquiries about holding our party at Benvenuto's, the staff has been exceptionally helpful, particularly Anne. Emails and phone calls are returned promptly. My husband, sister, and I did a sampling of Benvenuto's entrees, appetizers, salads, and desserts on a Saturday evening. As we pulled into the carport, a valet greeted us and parked our car. As we entered the restaurant, we were offered a glass of sangria. A wicked thunderstorm knocked out power shortly after we arrived. The gracious staff kept us informed from time to time that we would be seated as soon as everything was up and running again. Our wait was worth it! We started off with Shrimp Cocktail, a Mixed Green Salad, and a Caesar Salad. Next, we were served sample platters of some of the Hors d'oeuvres we will choose for our party. My husband and sister tasted the Mini Crab Cakes, Mozzarella Sticks, Chicken Mini Pot Stickers, and Beef Empanadas. I was able to enjoy several gluten free selections including Crispy Polenta, and some Mini Avocado and Tomato Tacos. The service and food were fantastic! Some warm, fresh bread and butter also was served. For dinner, we each chose a different entree. My sister ordered the Filet Mignon. It was done medium rare just like she requested. My husband tried the Coastal Snapper and enjoyed his choice as well. My pick was the French Cut Chicken Breast served with Black Beans, Corn Salsa, Rice, and Vegetable Puree. It was fantastic! Everything tasted hot and fresh and delicious with generous portion sizes. Throughout our meal, our table was regularly cleared when needed and our drinks refilled promptly. We were rather full after dinner (we took home some leftovers!) but of course we had to have dessert. The Key Lime Pie, Vanilla Creme Brulee (gluten free), and The Granny Smith Apple Tart finished off our feast in sweet style! We toured the facility and also peeked in on a family reunion party in another room. My siblings and I decided to book our mom's 90th birthday celebration at Benvenuto after our visit. I'm really looking forward to holding our event at Benvenuto.

Some of the best wedding food I've had! Most of the weddings I go to go with the buffet option,…read morewhich of course nothing wrong with that, but quality definitely isn't the best when you're making batches of food that then sit there in a pile until you get to it. So it was such a nice treat to be served here with individual (huge) potions where everyone could be served at relatively the same time. Everything was cooked so well too. The duck was so juicy, the fish was so tender, etc. And the flavors were all really delicious. And I just love that with the portions being pretty big, we were able to take our leftovers home.
