Today I met with Marlena Robinson & her beautiful student. I've been to far too many counseling centers in my life and have never had such a wonderful experience. I've seen people mention the issue of not getting through to reception. Both times I called, left a message, I received a call back that day. The front office was extremely nice, organized & competent. They were able to run both of my insurances and I had zero copays. Marlina was very calm, thorough, and knew immediately what it was I needed medication wise. I had zero wait once I arrived. My daughter loves her therapist or else we would move along. For over a year we have had billing issues because their billers do not know how to properly bill insurance. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!! I don't know why I didn't bother to check Yelp when I booked an appointment at this place. I was on a mission to find a therapist in my network that fit my schedule and had virtual calls as an option. After many phone calls, this place seemed to have what I was looking for. First red flag and what should have been my signal to hang up: when I gave all my info over the phone, the receptionist straight said "oh that's a weird street name, why would anyone call a street that?" Then continued for another minute how ridiculous my street name was. Uh ok? How professional of her (insert sarcasm here). The day of my first appointment I had to arrive 15 mins early to fill out paperwork. I get to the office and there are two other people waiting at the window because the receptionist isn't there. Two more people show up after me and now we are all just waiting for someone at the window. So now there are 5 of us just waiting there for over 20 minutes. The lady finally comes back to the desk and starts to help us. By the time it's my turn, she then informs me that the therapist I was scheduled with does not deal with the issues I wanted to discuss. And that the other receptionist who originally scheduled me was new and didn't know what she was doing. I was so turned off by this whole experience that I just said to completely cancel everything and I did not want to see anyone else. The take away from this whole thing, if you really care about your mental health, stay away from this place. I had a no cost referral. They insist on you agreeing to pay all costs at time of visit, and "will assist in filing claim with insurance". They dont seem to care about helping people. They only care about getting paid. what's the use of having insurance if they make you pay everything up front first. read more

I just moved back to Vegas this past year after being in college for 3 years out of state. Before then, I had an amazing therapist here but she no longer works with Oasis. Since I've been back I have been shifted around to about 4 different therapists in the past few months for varying reasons. It's already hard enough to find a new therapist but when your counseling office doesn't care to help you find the right one it can make it more frustrating. Especially when they somehow have no information on the therapists demographics or concentrated areas are. I'm really sad because I used to love this place but I think I just got lucky & now I'm dealing with the reality of it. Whoever Janessa or Vanessa is that helps with scheduling is the most rude person I've ever spoke to so far. read more

Honestly, I dont understand the harsh reviews? Perhaps Ive been lucky but Ive been with Oasis for over 2 years now and have seen 3 therapists through Oasis. I found an amazing therapist. Cannot recommend Dawn Meenan enough. She's extremely good, very communicative, compassionate, on time, very knowledgeable... all around fantastic. Prior to her I saw two others who have both moved on to other practices or careers. Granted, its never fun to change therapists but they were decent and Im grateful they transitioned me pretty seamlessly both times to someone new so that I didnt have a big gap in my treatment. Finding an available therapist is hard these days, so Oasis has been great in that aspect. As far as office staff and billing goes, I havent had too many issues. One time I was accidentally over-billed by $10 but they fixed it right away. Sometimes they don't answer the phone, but if I leave a message they always get back with me within 24 hours and are courteous. It's been pretty hassle free. read more

I am feeling inclined to leave a review because there are so many harsh reviews and for what? It is a small business, with an even smaller staff. They are trying their best to provide care as all of you are just trying your best too. I do have to admit, when I first was referred to Oasis, the first thing I did was look them up. I was nervous because seeing all the bad reviews I didn't know what to expect. However, now that I have been going to them once a week for the past couple of months. I haven't had any problems!! My therapist, Leeza is AMAZING!! She is kind, thoughtful, and really helped change my life. I was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder earlier this year and she has helped me realize, through our sessions that it isn't a burden but rather a superpower! Without her, I wouldn't have thought about it that way. Also ms girl at the front desk is always super nice and cheery! I always have a smile seeing her pink barbie set up at the desk!! I have scheduled two appointments for my son and two times the counselor has failed to attend the appointment. Seriously! When people are distressed, especially a child, there should be a little more responsibility in handling of your scheduled appointments. My PERSONAL opinion is I 100% would not recommend Oasis to anyone, ever. Awful customer service by every "manager" I spoke to. Had a billing issue and was told there was no issue (see response below) but ended up receiving 2 refund checks in the mail. Interesting how that worked. Read other reviews (the ones that aren't recommended as well) and see for yourself how their management responds. Fred Lubin, one of the counselors here, saved my life and helped me free myself of the shackles of an incredibly abusive childhood. I am not exaggerating when I that, without him, I would have never found the courage to live my own life the way I wanted to live it. What was supposed to start as marriage counseling quickly turned into deep work on myself, as my wife refused to attend even one session. Fred listened to me pour out my life, session after session, and I never felt judged or looked down upon. He not only gave me the tools to save myself from the painful life I was living, he gave the the strength and courage to get better myself. He didn't do the work; rather, he showed me how to do the work myself. I saw him off and on for several years, and know him to be a kind, caring man, and an excellent therapist. It's like the Disney movie Dumbo - I no longer needed the feather; the power to heal and grow again was within me all along. But Fred was that feather that helped me see that I could get better. He helped divest me of my fake/false optimism and start to deal with life as it really was, so I could work to make it what I wanted it to be. I went from being terrified that someone might criticize me at work and my week would be ruined, to taking control and realizing I deserved better. Now, I have the strength to go out and do whatever I want in life, and it would have never happened without Fred. People get out of therapy what they put into it. Give him a chance and trust him, and he won't tell you what to do - even better, he'll convince you to listen to yourself and bring out the best side of you. read more

Absolutely atrocious customer service. My son needs counseling and the therapist didn't show to his scheduled video appointment, didn't call and the office never called either. No apology and I have left 7 messages to get him rescheduled. They NEVER answer their phone. Complained to my insurance company now. Hope they lose their contracts. I wanted to write in and say how pleased I am with my Therapist Fred Lubin. My journey has been a long one and many Therapists along the way. Until meeting Fred, I had little to no progress in my journey to a mentally healthy life. I can say that I have multiple different areas that I'm working through and with his help we are tackling them one by one. I didn't even think this was possible, I thought that I'd have to see someone for each thing I was working on. Ridiculous. Scheduled w them and told them that my teenage daughter was making suicidal threats. They told me the earliest appointment they could make for her was two weeks later then on the day of the appointment they called me and told me that they didn't except my insurance after I had been down there and gave them all my insurance information. They made photocopies of all my insurance info yet on the day of the appointment they said that they did not accept my insurance and they would have to reschedule me yet again. I told them to forget it. We would find a different place to go. I recommend you not waste your time with this company they obviously don't take teenage suicidal threats very seriously and wait until the day of to let you know that they don't aacept your insurance. read more

This place is so unprofessional! They never answer their phone and they take their slow time sending prescriptions, sometimes not at all. I have severe anxiety and have been suffering because they won't send the prescription as promised. They claim it's the pharmacy but I've never had that issue before! Looks like I am in the same boat as many others here. I made an appt. on Nov. 7th for Nov. 27th. On Nov. 19th I get a phone call asking if I could move the date, time and location. I agree to all. I had the wherewithal to ask if it's the same therapist and was told "no, that therapist isn't accepting new patients." It seems the scheduler was trying to hide that from me b/c I wasn't voluntarily told that information. The first question should have been "are you willing to see a different therapist." I wanted to chime in as to my experience with Oasis counseling. I've been going there for almost 2 years now. I can't speak as to all of the therapists as a whole but as to the environment it's quite and comforting. Reception staff and scheduling have always been courteous, professional and accommodating. What I really wanted to highlight is my experience with my therapist Fred Lubin. I'm not overstating things when I tell you that Fred is one of the key factors in changing, probably saving, my life. I initially saw Fred for anxiety and depression related to my work stress. I learned over time it was so much more than that. Subsequently, I found myself going through several rounds of family turmoil that were completely out of my control. I made it through the depression, and the turmoil and I've been alcohol free for two years now. I'm feeling hope for the future again. My mother, my wife and Fred at Oasis have been the rocks upon which I could lean, and depend on. It's not an exaggeration that I probably wouldn't be here today without each one of them. I'm forever grateful. I wasn't sure anyone could help me in the beginning. Some of the things Fred said on our very first day I scoffed at but he ended up being dead on...It took a long time for me to understand the roots of my problems. It wasn't a quick fix, it's hard work but it can be done. If you're desperate (even if skeptical like me) let me give you some hope. I didn't believe I could pull out, but I did. Left work, drove across town, for nothing. They offered no help in finding me a new appointment but instead referred me to someone who says they are not taking new patients. This place does NOT care about your mental health or well being. They will NOT answer the phones. I had 5 appointments cancelled in a row. You WILL run out of your prescription each and ever month and if you are to question why this is happening then you are the bad guy. They will give you empty promises that the next appointment will surely happen. They live day to day and their goal is to get whatever communication they have going with you over as fast as possible so they no longer have to deal with you today. TRY CALLING THE NUMBER AND SEE IF YOU GET A HOLD OF ANYONE THAT SAME DAY. I was made out to be the bad guy because I ran out of my prescription in back to back months for multiple days each and I was clearly upset about it. I've only seen them 3 times in total and had 8 cancelations since the last two appointments. I've had to make 37 phone calls to try to get in to see someone since my first one in April. If you are okay with running out of medicine every month then this is the place for you. If not, then I'd suggest you do not start going here. I wish I could give zero stars. Sadly, the only power I have in a situation like this is to write a review. The counselor my child is seeing is amazing. HOWEVER, when we became a new patient I was told they accepted my insurance. After several visits, we arrive for my daughters appointment to have the receptionist ask me to pay out of pocket because they did not accept my insurance. I was told "they were in discussions and trying to contract with my insurance". Since, I couldn't afford to pay out of pocket, my daughter was not able to attend until the bill was taken care of. I called over 6 times for 6 months and waited for the office manager/billing manager to return my phone calls. I had to continuously follow up since, my phone calls were not returned. I continued to be billed monthly also. Yesterday was our first day back after 7 months now that our bill was excused due to the billing issue. My daughter was going through a very rough time and was desperate to see her counselor. When we checked in, the receptionist told us my daughter would have to see someone else, I would have to pay out of pocket or we would have to go somewhere else because their "office decided that morning they were not accepting our insurance anymore". When I challenged the decision and asked why I wasn't contact before our appointment and I took time off work to be there for the appointment, the receptionist was nice enough to make a phone call. My daughter was able to be seen by her counselor however, it might have been the last time. I find it extremely unprofessional for a mental health office to create situations like this.Having your child in need of help stand there and watch you explain you do not have the funds to pay for them to get help or make the decision for her to see a complete stranger was horrible. The billing office reflects on the counselors. It's extremely unprofessional to ask a child who has created a relationship with their counselor to see a complete stranger or pay out of pocket the moment they walk in for their scheduled appointment. My 8 year old daughter has been seeing Amie for about 2 years and continues to see her. My daughter was having a hard time after divorce. My daughter always looks forward to her visits and Amie is always good about including parents in her sessions. She goes above and beyond and responds to email outside of normal office times. My daughter has greatly improved her behavior at school and I credit Amie to most of the reason. I am so thankful that my sweet baby girl has someone to talk to. I like that I can do evening appointments. The office staff is hardly present during the evenings so I don't have much to say, but they have always processed insurance carefully and help when changing insurances. We love it here! read more

Going to therapy tor the first time was very scary for me and uncomfortable especially going to tell a stranger everything that was going on in my life but from the moment I stepped in the building the staff was so welcoming. Dee McDonald has been my therapist and she is truly amazing. She made me feel so comfortable she was understanding and always available for my needs. TL/DR: Rude, unprofessional, lack of care and compassion, refuse to answer their phones or return missed calls, and the front desk associate lied to my face in response to every question I asked today. I have been going here for five weeks now. The first time I went, they gave me the wrong address which forced me to be late by almost 30 minutes. They still accepted the paperwork but the front desk lady was extremely rude when telling me the therapist cannot see me due to my tardiness. If she had said it the way I just typed it, there would be no issue. Got to my next session (first real one), my therapist is amazing. The front desk lady still works there and still I see her giving myself and other clients dirty looks. Also, do not try to call before 9am. Yes, their office is open at 8am and it even says it online, however, this is a lie. The phone does not work until 9am because the staff doesn't work until 9am, which is also a lie because the staff is there, on the clock, and working at 8am. It gives an option to leave a voice mail that you will never hear back from. On top of it, after confronting the front desk lady today about why she isn't answering the phone, it took almost 10minutes just for her to give me any information. She stated that Neil Insigne is the president of the company and put forth a request for him to call me. He called after a couple hours and it turns out he is just the clinic manager. So not only can they not answer their phones when they are clearly open and working (if the staff is there and working but not clocked in until 9, then that is highly illegal) but they also are completely okay with being rude, disrespectful, and lying to the face of the clients. I would never suggest anyone go here if you have any sort of mental illness, no matter how low or high scale it is. read more

If I were to review only my doctor, not discounting the experience of others, I would give Dr. T.K. a 5 star. However, though the office staff has been very nice to me personally, they have botched appointments. So I would think said the master of the obvious, it really depends somewhat of luck of the draw on which doctor you get, what you'll think of this place. Just give a little more time than even you think you need for the meeting. It's in a massively long office building complex and if you're using google maps, it's only going to land you within 1000 feet or so, so for me personally, for a couple times, it was just easier to park off of google maps then hit "walk" instead of drive to find the exact office. They've just lost another patient due to poor billing practices. They didn't process insurance payments in a timely manner and demanded a full copay when I only owed 20%. For one appointment they had me sign a paper when I wouldn't pay the copay because I had a credit over $100 & they still saw my child for the appointment anyway. But the next appointment 2 weeks later, they still hadn't sorted out my billing and wouldn't allow me to sign the paper again and demanded the full copay instead of just my portion & refused to see my child unless I paid the full amount...even though I still have a credit that would cover the visit! So in addition to poor billing practices, they have inconsistent front office practices as well! Get it together Oasis! I'll be calling for my refund for the overpayment & will be reporting them to my insurance company for fraud if they do not comply with proper insurance protocol. read more

This place should be shut down, I took my teenage daughter for her first visit there on November 7th, she was supposed to be seeing her therapist once a week and sadly has only had 1 appointment since November because they keep canceling her appointments without any notice whatsoever!!! I only find out because 'I' call to confirm her appointment the day of and it's the same thing every time, canceled!!! It's been very simple things, but they do not know how to handle insurance properly and they do not call patients to inform them of what needs to be done! For your own sake, do NOT go to Oasis. I left a wonderful therapist in my old city when I moved to Vegas. I was dealing with infidelity and the anxiety that goes along with it. I was made to feel like I was crazy, like it was my fault, and I got the distinct impression their main goal was to collect as much money as possible. The way they talked down to me ultimately traumatized me for a time, and looking back, I'm soooo grateful I only stayed for a few sessions.
