They just want the insurance money!…read more Not really good for actual rehabilitation as they will just have you talk in group sessions until their time is up.

I can't post it all here so here's my blog:…read morehttps://tooshallpass13.wordpress.com/2023/11/02/kolmac-rehab-facility-of-silver-spring/ Welp, even more news! I wasn't just ripped off ONE Benzo and one opioid. The accident I was in, in 2017, put me on the opioid Hydrocodone and what they called Diazepam (Valium). A neurologist had me on Amitriptyline. My new pain management had me on Tramadol. By August 2018, I had been ripped off 4 drugs abruptly and 5 were cold turkeyed for a total of 9 drugs I was off in just months. Withdrawals off psych drugs and then Hydrocodone and Diazepam (Valium) made me look insane I guess. No one said anything. I was full of rage all the time and they kept telling me it was "mental illness". You didn't recognize Akathisia (uh, I was pacing your halls, could not sit still) or admit that your Phenobarbital tapers are dangerous. You pumped me full of high doses of Phenobarb at like 7:30AM and had me wait it out. I NEVER felt better. Then within 8 weeks you thought you could just cut large amounts every week and I'd not have any withdrawals? Are you kidding me? That proper taper took almost a YEAR to come off. Your protocol is harming patients further. You put me on a drug I did not need telling me it would help. Help what exactly? And if that wasn't bad enough, it's addictive. In fact, weren't barbiturates used before Benzos? So I would love to know what you mean about barbiturates not working on the same receptor as Benzos. They both work on the GABA A receptor. They are similar and are both used for alcohol withdrawal. The following made my life a living hell in that place: Oscar who made jokes and didn't take my medical condition seriously, lady who took over as my counselor with red hair who scolded me for making a joke and my "outbursts" were "scaring" the other patients, the neurotic nurse Barbara everyone hates, Dr Negro, and the director of the program who scolded me and basically washed her hands of me. She was rude and ignorant. She told me to look on NAMI for groups for anxiety. Oh Lord. Really? You realize most of the donations NAMI receives is from pharmaceutical companies, right? There are no "groups" for "anxiety". I have done this ALL my life. What makes you think I'm going to get help on NAMI? You all NEVER listened and denied Benzo withdrawal was even a thing. Your rapid cessation of Phenobarb almost killed me! Tapering off over almost a year was cruel and barbaric. I had SO many issues getting care due to that prescription. I ended up in a hell hole psych ward in PG County because NO ONE took patients on Phenobarbital. The doctor handling my case in the hospital? She cut my dose in half without telling me. I was distraught and frantic! Then I had to do a new intake AGAIN where they called my therapist and told her how mentally ill I was and if she would see me. She said she couldn't handle someone with that amount of anxiety and she never spoke to me again. She did however wonder how I ended up in rehab with my medications cut off. She didn't understand why I was at Kolmac. She said these things to my Kolmac counselor. Because I was "no longer a threat to relapse" you all washed your hands of me. My mom came to that appointment, too. Everyone was out to lunch mentally. Just insane how no one put anything together and treatment was continued and I was LEFT on Phenobarbital. What if I had no doctor? After going through what I have, I no longer recommend detox to ANYONE, that includes alcoholics and addicts. I'm guessing you're not an actual addict or you don't remember detox. Yeah, try going at 16 YEARS STONE COLD SOBER! Your intake officer should have known better and believed me when I said I had been sober for over a decade and a half. Instead of helping, everything was made so much worse. And no one cares. That's the problem. I'll be dismissed as crazy or mentally ill by posting this. It's really sad. I've been suffering for over 5 years and they just keep screwing around with my meds. https://youtu.be/guLQqTGIWV8?si=Z-FLtFFZ84kSFxfm

Normally I don't leave reviews but this could not go without being said. I've been seeing Dr. Jason…read morefor a year and he's wonderful. Very nice and very informative. However, my issue is with the reception staff. For the last several days I have been trying to get a prescription refilled and the communication has been terrible on the end of reception. Constant misunderstandings back and forth (that I won't get into) but upon trying to get information about the status of a prescription I was only given details if I pushed the receptionist for answers. I was clear with the doctor about which pharmacy i'd like my prescription sent to and then was told the next day there was no pharmacy for me on file. Very confusing seeing as I've been a patient for over a year. I was told yesterday the prescription would be sent before 6 , I call the pharmacy today and still nothing (this is going on the FOURTH day of being told my prescription would make it to the pharmacy). Just spoke with the receptionist again who abruptly rushed me off the phone to hang up and now things are hanging in the air and i'm losing hope the pharmacy will ever get it. I understand people get busy but there's a way to go about communicating and following through with the details of things as significant as having your medication needs met. Hopefully, they figure it out. Lucky for me this is a medication I can go without taking but to think if it was more of an emergency is honestly scary. Hopefully no one else has this experience with Blue Sky as Dr. Jason is wonderful at his job.

The quality of care is very lackluster. A love one has lived at this home for a number of years and…read morenot much has changed in all that time. I will say the place did not reek of urine. The staff to resident ratio is alarming and something the state should look into. I was there for a couple of hours and honestly seen only one nurse(?)/attendant and one person cleaning. The wait to enter the facility is lengthy. No one answers the bell, the residents have to see you at the door and yell to someone that someone is at the door. It's a sad state of affairs the care or lack thereof rendered to our oldest and neediest population. This place is marginally better than some of the others that service this demographic but that's not saying much. This place is better than being on the street, I suppose.

The staff was very rude and even throw her hands up to indicate she couldn't help me find ice. My grandmother was here for a month and a half. She walked in happy and very independent. During her stay, she was verbally abused, neglected which caused her to fall and not checked on that lead to bed sores. We had to move her, she was in horrible pain one night. Due to her stage four cancer, she need to feel comfortable. However, she pressed the bell and the nurse came in, snatched the bell out of the wall, and told her to stop using it. When we stayed with her, they never came in. They just walked around in their face mask due to lack of cleaning of the facility. I only saw the other residents when their family were there visiting. Other than that, they stayed in bed and left alone all day. Pay attention to the signs: scheduled visits are not needed. Staff wear face mask. You don't see other residents out of their beds. They told us my grandmother was crazy and she did not fall. I wouldn't recommend this place for dog boarding!

Exceptional Care at Forever Fit Physical Therapy - Highly Recommended!…read more I cannot say enough good things about Forever Fit Physical Therapy & Wellness Center in both Gaithersburg and Rockville. My experience there has truly been life-changing. When I first came in, I was extremely unwell. My arms could barely move up, down, or in any direction without pain. Even at night, my sleep was constantly disturbed because moving my arms would trigger intense discomfort. I had already tried a different physical therapist elsewhere but, sadly, saw no improvement. Determined to find better help, I searched for another clinic in the Gaithersburg area -- and that's when I found Forever Fit Physical Therapy. From my very first visit, I knew I was in the right place. Dr. Jyoti Panchal was everything I could hope for in a healthcare professional: skilled, attentive, caring, and deeply thoughtful in her approach. She took the time to understand my condition and used every available tool to treat my problem. Incredibly, I began to see and feel significant improvement after just two visits! I was also treated by Deosaran Katherine, another outstanding physical therapist at Forever Fit. Her professionalism, expertise, and genuine care made a huge difference in my recovery journey. Both the Gaithersburg and Rockville locations are clean, welcoming, and equipped with everything you need for effective treatment. The staff is warm, supportive, and always focused on your well-being. If you are looking for physical therapy that delivers real results with compassion and professionalism, Forever Fit Physical Therapy is the place to go. I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Jyoti Panchal, Deosaran Katherine, and their incredible team to anyone seeking top-quality care. Arega Eniyew
