I followed care directions but sent a message through the portal at 9 days (a Wednesday), with a photo, stating I was concerned about the incision site. No one contacted me. On day 11, a Friday, I phoned to follow up and shared that it was looking worse. They could not find my message, even though I can see it on my end. The nurse had me send another photo; her response was, "Hm, it does look a little angry," and she said she was sending it to the doctor so I could have information before the weekend. Crickets. The next morning, I went to urgent care, where I was diagnosed with a significant bacterial infection and put on a strong antibiotic and very specific care instructions. I was told I was a high risk for sepsis and a blood clot, and there was no certainty that this particular antibiotic would work. It helped, but not enough, so now I'm on my second antibiotic for treatment and am still restricted in my activities. I was told that stitches in this part of the body should not be in for more than 7 days. THIS SHOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED. The stitches were in too long, and TWICE I contacted them with concerns, and they did not respond to provide basic patient care. The photo you see is the same photo they were given.

They didn't even know that they took my insurance and told me they couldn't see me. They also ignored my extensive paperwork that I brought in with me and screwed up where to send my prescriptions. Not only that but they're not all that friendly, especially Keith. Not impressed.

Where to start - ambiguousness of my PA, Amanda Smith, PA-C who used phrases like I don't know,…read moremaybe 50/50 if that is cancer, even though I have had 4 prior cancer surgeries. I requested a biopsy to be safe, not her. When I called back to see if my yearly could be done with the one doctor on staff, she said sure but confirmed he isn't Mohs certified, then proceeded to tell me Mohs surgery is only needed for your face - LOL. I cancelled my yearly check in. Last week I received a call to request that I come back in 4-6 weeks to check my (no-cancerous results) biopsy area because it COULD be cancerous in the future. I laughed and hung up. I really feel sorry for anyone that has skin cancer and ends up being fed such misinformation from these clowns. Clearly this office is only after billing. Do yourself a favor and find a Mohs certified doctor in Columbus.
