Oct 2016 we buried my father there and it wasn't until July 2016 they finally threw some grass seed down to cover the grave. It was nearly a year before his headstone was placed. They did make sure to call and harass my mother MONTHLY for 2 YEARS for "extra services & grief counseling" even after declining those services with each call. Sept 3023 my mother passed, Wendy couldn't be bothered with us after we caught her in a lie within the first 5 minutes so she passed us along to someone else to finish up paperwork on a prepaid service. The day of the service, the workers were rude and rushed us along, talking loudly and being obnoxious the whole time. Then we were told they would have the headstone back in place, the brass death date added and grass fixed "soon". Well, it's been 8 months and nothing is fixed. I'm out there at least twice a month and it looks ridiculous.

Like to the point I wish moving her remains wouldn't be such a process and costly. Every big day or milestone that I come up here, the gates are shut. They never clean anything. For weeks after a storm, dozens of plots had things blown and broken and nobody touched it. There has to be one person working here from the work that gets done. The hours used to be "dawn to dusk" and now it's 5-6 hours a day. If you want to be able to actually visit your loved one and be proud of where they are, stay far away from here. Just tried to take my sisters at 4pm today to visit our mom for her birthday and realized it's now only open until 3pm. I understand having closing times but you are a place for the living to visit their loved ones and you put 5 hours in a day. What a joke.

She had thoughtfully paid for everything 32 years in advance, intending to spare us any burden. Unfortunately, after the original funeral home owner retired and transferred her contract to another funeral home, I encountered a very distressing situation with them that was dismissive, rude, and suddenly demanding additional money despite previously telling me everything was fully covered. I was shocked, overwhelmed, and honestly heartbroken all over again. That's when I found Mr. Patrick Lynch and Lynch & Sons Funeral Home--and everything changed. I called after hours on Friday and left a message, not expecting to hear back until Monday. To my surprise, Patrick Lynch called me back within 10 minutes. He spent 45 minutes on the phone with me, patiently explaining everything, going over the other funeral home's statement line by line, and helping me understand what was actually going on. He was calm, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. More importantly, he genuinely cared. For the first time since my mom passed, I felt a sense of peace and relief. I immediately knew I wanted to move my mother into their care. The next morning at exactly 10 AM, just as promised, his son Paddy Lynch called me. From that point on, everything was seamless. Paddy was kind, attentive, and so easy to work with. He handled every detail with grace and professionalism, making a very difficult process feel manageable. They helped me create a funeral that was truly beautiful and elegant--far beyond anything I could have hoped for. Even though my mother was not embalmed and went directly to the church, everything was handled flawlessly. One of the most special touches was the Juilliard-trained violinist, Sonia they arranged, which made the service incredibly moving and unforgettable. The entire experience was handled with such sensitivity, dignity, and care. In a time of deep grief and despair, Patrick and Paddy Lynch were not just helpful-- they were a source of light, compassion, comfort, strength and steady support. They treated me like family, not just a client. My mother's funeral was absolutely perfect--graceful, meaningful, and filled with love. I will be forever grateful to them for guiding me through one of the hardest moments of my life. I cannot recommend Lynch & Sons Funeral Home highly enough. If you want compassionate, honest, and truly exceptional care for your loved one, this is the place to go.

Sullivan & Son Funeral Home, I knew this was a professional,…read morekind, and deeply caring place--the funeral home I wanted to trust during the worst moment of my life. I lost my 23‑year‑old daughter in a tragic accident abroad, which made our situation uniquely complex. It required coordination between two funeral homes, international flights, extensive documentation, and tight timelines. From start to finish, Jim was absolutely extraordinary. There was no time of day that Jim would not respond--by phone, text, or email. He stayed on top of every detail, immediately flagging concerns, adjusting plans when needed, and making sure nothing slipped through the cracks. Every step of the way, I knew I was in good hands--and more importantly, that my daughter was in good hands. Jim was incredibly patient and took the time to explain each step of the process. During a moment when a family is vulnerable and could easily feel taken advantage of, Jim did the opposite--he helped me clearly understand costs and provided thoughtful options to help contain them. His integrity never wavered. I had a special request to see my daughter before she was transported home, which became especially challenging due to an upcoming three‑day holiday weekend and limited time in country. Jim personally ensured this happened--coordinating across borders, researching local funeral homes to match the level of care Wm. Sullivan & Son is known for, and staying in constant communication so I always knew what was happening. Because of Jim and his staff, I was able to see my daughter. That meant everything to me. Once I returned home, Jim guided my family through funeral planning with the same compassion and professionalism. The atmosphere of the funeral home was peaceful, and the entire staff was welcoming and empathetic. We were never rushed or pressured. On the days of visitation and the funeral, everything was flawless--all we had to do was show up, and Jim and his team handled everything with quiet excellence. One moment that will always stay with me: even at the cemetery, during the final moments, Jim personally walked the perimeter as the vault was being sealed, ensuring everything was properly aligned and done with care. It was not his responsibility--but that's who Jim is. From start to finish, the same attention to detail, compassion, and dignity never faded. I almost never write reviews--not on Google, not on Amazon--but Jim and the entire Wm. Sullivan & Son Funeral Home staff truly moved my heart. They made an unbearable experience feel supported, personal, and filled with compassion, and they cared for my daughter with the same love and respect I would have given her myself. I cannot thank them enough.

As with most other cemeteries in this area of Michigan, there are gates surrounding the entire cemetery, and they are closed and locked at sundown (often earlier -- hours are posted). I completed the funeral services for my mother-in-law at the Gramer Funeral Home in Clawson in July 2024. As part of our family's customs, I plan to carry her ashes overseas next year for the immersion ceremony (Asthi Visarjan). When I submitted the application to the Consulate in October 2025 for a no-objection certificate to transport the ashes, they requested a cremation certificate with some specific information. I contacted Gramer Funeral Home for assistance, and Megan and Paul were extremely helpful. They prepared the certificate the same day--within just a few hours--and provided the required letter without any hesitation, even though a year had passed since the cremation. Their support, promptness, and understanding during this additional step meant a great deal to me and my family. Thank you, Navin
