When Groupon had it's $30 massage day, I purchased a Groupon for a 90-minute in-spa massage with Oakhurst. I have purchased other massages when Groupon runs this special and have had great experiences. Unfortunately, my experience with Oakhurst was quite unprofessional.
I visited their website to schedule an appointment, and the instructions said to text, call, or email to set up an appointment. A little nontraditional, but I can respect a local entrepreneur or business trying to get started. On Monday morning, I texted the phone number provided, introducing myself and giving my availability. Later Monday afternoon, after not hearing back, I called the same number (after double checking it on the website) and left a voicemail.
By Wednesday, I still had not heard ANYTHING back from Oakhurst. Late Wednesday morning, I utilized the third contact option and emailed the account listed on the website. In my email, I explained that I had had difficulties scheduling an appointment via phone and that if I did not hear from them by the end of the day that I would be refunding my Groupon. Three days later, and I still haven't heard a thing! Thankfully, Groupon was understanding and although they couldn't refund me in cash, they gave me $30 in "Groupon bucks."
I really tried to be understanding, but this place was so unprofessional in their lack of communication that I don't recommend ever trying to book with them. read more
