On 11/2/24, Dia de Los Muertos, Day of the Dead, visiting grandma & uncle. This is a small cemetery in Glendora in comparison to Forest Lawns. It's near & dear to me because my paternal grandma & uncle are interred here. It is busy today as it is Day of the Dead. Greens are well maintained. Funeral services, viewings, cremations are available. Parking is usually plentiful except today. Traffic cops are manning the entrance to help control flow. It's peaceful & reflective. read more

I have been going here for many years. Both of my grandparents from my mother's side are buried here. My mom is also buried here. Each time I go here, I notice this place is relaxing and helps me clear my mind when I go by and visit their graves. All the grounds seem to be kept up clean and nicely green. It is sad that I have to see so many memorials as so many have loved ones that have passed on. However when I drive through it is a very beautiful sight to all the wonderful flowers people leave here. Just recently I had a grade school friend that was put to rest here. I went inside for help, some instruction on getting to where his graveside service would be. The lady at the info was so nice and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about this place for the situations given. If you're looking for a very good cemetery for any needs, this is a beautiful place to hold service indoor or outdoor and make this a final resting place. read more

Sunday, Mother's Day my family and I went to the cemetery to go visit my father. Office doors close at 5. The individual LIAM was letting an older lady in and my daughter ran to the door right after the lady and he shut the door on her face. but he was previously letting ladies in the restroom( shown in the video of one walking out) He closed the door on my child. I started recorded when he let other ladies come out of the restroom it was 4:52.. A bystander went close to also tell him if he can make a accommodation for my daughter since he had made a accommodation for his mother just seconds before.. I've worked in many places where I've had to close stores up at 10/11 pm. Closing time is exactly at the time 10/11pm as said on the doors of the store. It was very unprofessional of him to do that and add smart comments. I felt humiliated by him and so did my daughter. My daughter ended up peeing on herself because she couldn't hold it. I went into the port a potties and they were filled up to the top of the rim. They smelled horrible and I wasn't going to let my daughter use those disgusting little "restrooms" as they said. Very unprofessional and humiliating. I thought we buy properties there and get treated like it's care, respect and dignity but that wasn't the case here. read more

I have several family members that have been laid to rest at this park and over the last 5 years it has really become terrible. Today I went to visit my mom for mother's Day and scattered throughout the grounds were beer bottles pizza boxes and other trash. Not to mention I couldn't even locate my mother's grave at first because it had been so covered with grass and unmanicured as well as my aunt and my grandmother's which are on different sides of the park from hers. It seems like all of the grounds in general have just been neglected for a very long time. The flower holders are buried and the stones themselves are suffering with covered grass. This was one of the worst experiences my family and I have ever had to endure. The staff is completely disorganized, and communication is extremely poor. We buried our father over a year ago, and it took more than a full year--along with countless texts, emails, and phone calls--just to get the correct headstone delivered. What made matters worse was the lack of follow-through. We were never proactively updated. When we finally reached out for a status, we were told the headstone had already been delivered and would be installed over the weekend. Based on that, we made arrangements to bring our 88-year-old mother to visit the site the following week. To our shock and disappointment, the headstone had not been installed. We had to go into the office ourselves to address the issue, where we were told it was a "misunderstanding"--despite having received an email stating it had already been installed. We then had to wait over two hours, in 90-degree heat, for them to install it on the spot. This entire process was unnecessarily stressful, poorly managed, and deeply disappointing--especially given the sensitive nature of the situation. Once they bury your loved one and they get their money, they treat you like you don't exist. Beware - go elsewhere if you want calls back and to be treated with respect. I should have trusted the other reviews and known better after it took many unreturned calls from me and family to even get started with burial process, but since we had other family members buried there, we thought it was the right place for our loved one. Everything was terrible from the start. Lack of communication at every stage. Phone calls and emails not returned. We were told minutes before the witness cremation, that we shouldn't view the body due to the condition - literally minutes before and then forced to make really hard decisions on the fly - so cruel. At the burial portion of the service, they literally had a man in a gardner outfit superglue, yes he pulled out some superglue, the urn in a box in front of family and the guests. It was so tacky and upsetting. We were not told that was going to happen that way - it could have been much more dignified. We had to stop that portion of service because it was so awful. We were told nothing about what to expect for the burial. Also, it took a several proofs to try and get the headstone correct, we were lied to about what we could put on it (origially told we were to select from a page of prepared sayings, when we were later told we could put what we wanted). The headstone ends up being so incredibly small compared others around it - we had no idea it would be like that. It's not like you walk around with a tape measure to figure out the size when you are grieving and there for 5 hours making arrangements. We've been calling for days to try and get it fixed - no returns calls from Sandra - what a shocker! Even though my daughter is buried there, we refuse to be buried there with her. It's been a week and I have not received a call back or a response to my email. Another example of poor communication was regarding the engraving of my mother's marker. They said it would take 3-4 weeks. Around the 3 week mark, I started inquiring. They were insistent they would contact me when it done and seemed bothered by my inquiry. After waiting another week, I decided to go visit my father's inurnment site. I was surprised to see my mother's marker done. I called the office and asked when my mother' marker would be done. They said it was completed a week ago. Approximately a week later, I received a call stating my mother's marker was done. I feel extremely bad for those families trying to get a service done contemporaneously with their loved one's passing. I just recently had my father's services there. I had a bumpy start with getting the plans together. But we sorted out the plans. It was nice to have guidance, attention and understanding from Natalie and her staff. Every question and there were many, were answered, details were thoroughly discussed and continue communication throughout the process. I do have to say we felt they exceeded our expectations. This place is absolutely awful. My mommy loved music . They said we were only allowed 20 minutes of music at the burial and since musicians are paid per hour we "would be wasting our money". During the burial they immediately took away our seats and basically kicked us out as we were experiencing a nightmarish pain. As the years have passed I've seen people play music for hours . I've seen people able to sit in front of the casket for over an hour. The trashcans are always over flowing, there is no restrooms and they will kick you out as soon as there is a sign of the sun going down . The cremation garden here is beautiful - clean, peaceful, well kept. The location is lovely. Unfortunately, the customer service has been very, very disappointing as we lead up to the internment of our mother. We signed a contract with Oakdale in January 2025 and have kept all our financial commitments. We understand that the balance must be paid in full before our loved can be interred in December. However, since August, two different employees have asked us to pay the balance early before they could proceed with installation and inscription - terms that are not stated in our contract. I emailed them on October 2nd asking for clarification, but no one has responded. Then on October 8th, we were informed by a friend that the pedestal was actually installed BUT it was installed sideways! The angel topper is facing a tree instead of the nearby walkway. An employee who went to look at it agreed that it was odd placement and would have someone contact us. Nobody has contacted us. This was deeply upsetting and felt almost intentional. That same day, I emailed Jessica Sandoval, the location manager (who I noticed responds to other poor reviews) and once again, I have heard nothing back. While my mom's services were beautifully carried out it has been upsetting regarding the rules they have for decorations! My dad has done a great job at abiding by them, unfortunately I think rules weren't relayed clearly and it was so heart wrenching to see things gone from my mom's burial site! And while I understand rules need to followed I do believe a call could have been made to let us know about the issue, give us time to correct and remove sentimental items before trashing them away or even holding some items at the front office before disposing of them! This place is inefficient as hell. Unfortunately, most of my family is buried here and we want to be together, however, I don't think that will be the case in the future because these people are ridiculously inefficient and have attitude for days. We paid so much for services, they should do better. Firstly, they inputted the original contract incorrectly in their system - we thought we had everything situated two years ahead of my grandmother's passing and they still messed it up. Thankfully, we had a hand written contract and they honored it. Secondly, I had family come in for the funeral and they needed proof of attendance for their jobs, and school, which took forever to get. My cousin lives very far and stayed after the funeral to get this documentation, they told her to come back to collect it and they would have it ready, however, they didn't have it ready when she returned on the day they told her to pick it up. I worked with an employee(Stephanie) who said she would send me documents about my recent mother's passing. She forgot too. I had to call her up and remind her. Still nothing until finally end of business day(the following day), I got them. At this point in time my family thought I was purposely stalling the funeral. I left a negative yet polite review of said company and emailed the General Manager Jessica. I was very polite and professional yet she asked immediately if I left that review first thing while also saying "I have your IP address so I know who left that negative review" and then asked me twice which employee gave me her work email at which time, I told her no I'm not answering that.Jessica then told me it's okay she will look at the call log and see who answered the phone when I called. She obviously reads negative comments on Google, but failed to realize her work email is posted in another unsatisfied customers review from months ago(very similar grievances we shared). She agreed to send me said documents yet the only thing she sent was a link to a picture of my mother's online obituary. She(Jessica)blocked me from all communication. The forms I had to sign were time sensitive. And given to me on a Thursday(my time) This caused my family to believe,I was purposely stalling my mom's funeral and cremation. I have never had a company who replied to a negative review with "I have your IP address" and "give me the employee's name who gave out my work email." Thanks to her and her staff sending me the documents to sign so late, my family thinks I stalled. This is the lady that steals flowers so beware she come with her son. She steals the flowers from other graves and makes her own flower arrangements. There were no signs anywhere giving direction as to what building to head to. The priest kept saying my friend's name incorrectly. He kept saying Javier when his name is Jaime. This is extremely disrespectful to my friend and his family. The priest was corrected multiple times by everyone in the room. He continues to make the mistake or he just doesn't care. The lack of empathy is infuriating. Everything was done only in Spanish. Half of the room didn't understand the service. I was at the service, but I didn't understand anything. Any place is only as good as the person you have encountered. In this case, always always ask for Natalia Peinado. She was our rock while we dealt with our grief. There were many hiccups and even disastrous moments that were handled with respect, professionalism and warmth. It is exactly what someone in deep sorrow requires to make decisions. Highly dissatisfied with how we were treated during one of the most difficult times in our lives. I am a former ME employee and have signed my fair share of death certificates for this place (iykyk). I always thought highly of them until my mom passed. My mother bought her policy in the early 80s so she essentially paid pennies for today's standards. I don't think this place was happy about that and we struggled to get fair market value for her policy. I know the mortuary business is just that...a BUSINESS! For me, I see these pre paid policies as a farce because these corporations (Dignity owns quite a few) will not give you fair market value anyway. Having buried four immediate family members in the last six months- my advice is choose a small family owned mortuary like Cabot and Sons (they even have a chapel you can use as well as a banquet room and they are NICE and accommodating) and purchase your plots with Heather at Plot Brokers (I actually got two for the price of what one costs). You will save yourself a TON of money and a ton of headaches. read more
