One month later there is peeling and what looks to be water damage. These markers are supposed to survive the elements.

No communication. I sent an email after my brother in law spoke to employee in person about my mother in laws grave marker photo peeling 1 month after installation. No response and the email was sent on February 1st. Very disappointing how they are so quick to take money from the families, but take so long to fix something they sold us that is clearly defective. I posted photos of day of installation and how it looks now, 1 month later

Zero tolerance for vandalism: Alexis Felix grave has been repeatedly desecrated. I demand increased security and accountability from cemetery management to safeguard the dignity of the deceased and their grieving families. Her mother, Father, loved ones, deserve to grieve with the outmost respect given to them from this cemetery.

The cremation garden here is beautiful - clean, peaceful, well kept. The location is lovely. Unfortunately, the customer service has been very, very disappointing as we lead up to the internment of our mother. We signed a contract with Oakdale in January 2025 and have kept all our financial commitments. We understand that the balance must be paid in full before our loved can be interred in December. However, since August, two different employees have asked us to pay the balance early before they could proceed with installation and inscription - terms that are not stated in our contract. I emailed them on October 2nd asking for clarification, but no one has responded. Then on October 8th, we were informed by a friend that the pedestal was actually installed BUT it was installed sideways! The angel topper is facing a tree instead of the nearby walkway. An employee who went to look at it agreed that it was odd placement and would have someone contact us. Nobody has contacted us. This was deeply upsetting and felt almost intentional. That same day, I emailed Jessica Sandoval, the location manager (who I noticed responds to other poor reviews) and once again, I have heard nothing back. It now feels as though we are being ignored and penalized simply for questioning things. Jessica, if you are reading this, you have my contact information in the email I sent you.

My uncle, Richard Keith Moore PFC US ARMY KOREA veteran. passed away in 1978 and I wanted to visit his grave today. Its been a long time since I've been here and I couldn't locate his grave. I asked Crystal for help and she went to work right away and then Ricardo (security) offered his assistance and he was amazing, they all were! I found my uncles grave with their help, thank you! I and sat near my uncles grave for a while as I cleaned up his headstone and felt his presence and had a peaceful feeling come over me. He passed away at the age of 44. He was sick for years but always had a positive attitude. I strive to be the same as him. Thinking of his life and what he went through, I try and put things in perspective, life could very, very worse.

Does anyone know how long it takes for Oakdale to have a marker made and installed ?Everything has been paid for and designed. It's just sad going to the gravesite and seeing an empty plot.

We lost…read moreher in mid February of 2026 and during the extremely emotional and difficult time that followed, Forest Lawn - Covina Hills was a support that I did not expect to have as we navigated my mother's celebration of life and interment. Our first contact with Forest Lawn was a few hours after my mom's passing while she was in hospice at our home. They were able to respond within three hours of the nurse contacting them to transport her body. Both gentlemen who arrived were professional and clear communicators. They collected information and then explained to us every step of what was going to happen next and even explained why they did some of the things they did. Before they left they instructed us to call Forest Lawn to set up an appointment during the next business day. Our appointment took place about a week later. Adriana was the counselor we initially met with. We went over the package my mother purchased for herself and the decisions she made ahead of time and which she left for us to make. With each step, Adriana was clear about how any of the adjusments we requested would impact the final cost. We also met with a representative from the team doing my mom's make up and hair as well as a florist. This initial meeting took about 3 hours. 5 adults from my family were part of the meeting and each of our voices were heard. Adriana also provided contact information for her and a colleague so that we could ask any questions that came up after the meeting. The most beneficial service that Forest Lawn provided was complementary access to Cadence. It is an online platform that list all the steps that need to be taken after a loved one passes. It includes information about who informs which government entities and how to inform private companies. Additionally, Cadence offers virtual grief groups twice a month. I attended one group it was helpful to process the grief. The services were scheduled 2 weeks after the appointment with Adriana. Jordan was our point person for the day of the funeral and he was kind, clear, and was fully present during all the components of the funeral. The viewing day and the funeral day were honestly a blur for me, but I walked away with the impression that my mother got the best of the best which she deserved. Forest Lawn was helpful every step of the way.

Visited Funeraria Del Angel in West Covina today at 10:30am to pay our respects to our dear friend…read morewhose dad passed away. Viewing hours are 10am to 10pm. First time for us at Funeraria Del Angel in West Covina and the place is very peaceful and very clean. It's very serene. The staff were very nice and very friendly. The staff are very welcoming. This place is also spacious. The room for viewing is huge and a good size. The resting body is in the front with open casket surrounded by huge floral arrangements and light coming in. There are two screens which shows photos of the dearly departed with their loved ones. There is also a separate room for reception with dining tables and chairs. This room has food and coffee for all the guests. This is a place you would want to have your love ones say their last good byes before placing them in their resting place whether they are buried or cremated.

This is a hard review to make as my feelings are mixed on my experience with Mountain View. It is a…read morebeautiful old cemetery and Manny helped throughout the process with planning my father's gathering & burial arrangements. I'd give him 100stars, cannot say enough wonderful things about this man- He's very professional, kind, and kept me up to date as much as possible and solved problems along the way. Manny went above and beyond to help make the process easier for everyone I was very grateful for his help, I think he works harder at his job than anyone else. Aside from that I was not impressed with a lot of things. The day of the Memorial was chaotic, the guests had no direction and were told to wait so they all congregated up at the front building. Then the viewing that was supposed to be just a couple people turned into everyone coming in to view my father. This could have been catastrophic if I wasn't so laid back but he looked sharp so I figure it was meant to be that way, many were glad they got to see him. It worked out well it was just a bit overwhelming as that was way different than what was originally planned. Whoever was directing outside would not allow the person I hired to set up the photos & flowers go inside the cemetery beforehand so when I discovered that nothing had been done at the site yet I had to run from the viewing to go throw everything together all by myself at the location in the literal minutes before the ceremony. Due to that set back I didn't get anything up properly. Lastly a few days before the funeral the groundskeepers assured me that they would have my grandfathers grave cleaned up (my dad was buried in the same plot at later date) but it was not done. It's also been noticed they remove flowers very quickly after placed which is a bit off putting. They were very much on top of making sure payment was complete but after that it took a substantial amount of time and several check ins before burial happened for my dad. To be honest I didn't mind that wait but from day one I was very clear I wanted to be there for his burial. The day finally came and I found out the afternoon before that they would be burying him the next day, a bit frustrating the lack of notice but it was beyond time for it to happen so I just worked it out. I kept in communication up until just a couple hours before to make sure it was clear I would be there for the burial and agreed to come at a set time. I showed up an hour before that set time and my father was already buried!! This was extremely upsetting and the men finishing up did not seem to care in the slightest about my distress. It seems like they were just glad to have "finished up early". This has been extremely distressing for me and my family/friends are upset hearing it as well. I'm still struggling with what happened. I spoke with Manny afterwards and he was very apologetic as this was not how it was supposed to go, he was not notified they were going to finish early so there was really nothing that could have gone differently on his end. There is some major communication issues going on. I'm definitely rethinking the plans I was considering for myself and the rest of my family in a plot here as it seems like the management is lacking, it doesn't really seem like anyone else cares there. It's kept together just well enough to get paid.

It pains my heart that my mother is buried in this horrible cemetery. From the moment she was…read moreburied here, it has been nothing but problems. They lie about what is included in your funeral package and try to squeeze any other extra dollar out of you. On more than one occasion, they have damaged my mother's headstone with their gardening machinery. Around the inner edges of the cemetery, along the walls it looks like a dump site with running stinking water running through. They regularly do not adhere to their own decoration and flower pick up schedule. Several times they have removed all the decorations ahead of schedule, with no regard to how much money people spend on their decorations. The least they could do is put a notice online to let people know if they are picking up ahead of schedule. If you complain, they will direct you to their booklet that says they are a private business and reserve the right to do whatever they want. Make sure you get every single detail in writing. Their contracts are intentionally misleading.
