On 11/2/24, Dia de Los Muertos, Day of the Dead, visiting grandma & uncle. This is a small cemetery in Glendora in comparison to Forest Lawns. It's near & dear to me because my paternal grandma & uncle are interred here. It is busy today as it is Day of the Dead. Greens are well maintained. Funeral services, viewings, cremations are available. Parking is usually plentiful except today. Traffic cops are manning the entrance to help control flow. It's peaceful & reflective.

I have gone to other cemeteries to visit friends and families, and it is just not the same. At Forest Lawn, it feels very peaceful. My entire family, including myself, have plots here at Forest Lawn. In a world full of uncertainty, it is good to be prepared and mark one thing off of our life's final checklist . We've called multiple phone numbers listed for the funeral home. On one occasion, a man answered, but he was very unprofessional and seemed unwilling or unable to provide basic information. It felt like he didn't want to help, and getting answers was unnecessarily difficult. The funeral home may want to have someone better trained or more knowledgeable handling phone calls, as first impressions and communication are incredibly important during such a sensitive time. We've also left several voicemails and were told by other staff members that someone would call us back, but we never received a single return call. It's especially unfortunate because we wanted to use this funeral home since the cemetery is in Monrovia, making it a convenient option for our family. However, due to the lack of communication and poor customer service, we've decided to look elsewhere. I hope this feedback encourages improvements so that other families receive the support, professionalism, and timely communication they deserve during such a difficult time.

This is a hard review to make as my feelings are mixed on my experience with Mountain View. It is a…read morebeautiful old cemetery and Manny helped throughout the process with planning my father's gathering & burial arrangements. I'd give him 100stars, cannot say enough wonderful things about this man- He's very professional, kind, and kept me up to date as much as possible and solved problems along the way. Manny went above and beyond to help make the process easier for everyone I was very grateful for his help, I think he works harder at his job than anyone else. Aside from that I was not impressed with a lot of things. The day of the Memorial was chaotic, the guests had no direction and were told to wait so they all congregated up at the front building. Then the viewing that was supposed to be just a couple people turned into everyone coming in to view my father. This could have been catastrophic if I wasn't so laid back but he looked sharp so I figure it was meant to be that way, many were glad they got to see him. It worked out well it was just a bit overwhelming as that was way different than what was originally planned. Whoever was directing outside would not allow the person I hired to set up the photos & flowers go inside the cemetery beforehand so when I discovered that nothing had been done at the site yet I had to run from the viewing to go throw everything together all by myself at the location in the literal minutes before the ceremony. Due to that set back I didn't get anything up properly. Lastly a few days before the funeral the groundskeepers assured me that they would have my grandfathers grave cleaned up (my dad was buried in the same plot at later date) but it was not done. It's also been noticed they remove flowers very quickly after placed which is a bit off putting. They were very much on top of making sure payment was complete but after that it took a substantial amount of time and several check ins before burial happened for my dad. To be honest I didn't mind that wait but from day one I was very clear I wanted to be there for his burial. The day finally came and I found out the afternoon before that they would be burying him the next day, a bit frustrating the lack of notice but it was beyond time for it to happen so I just worked it out. I kept in communication up until just a couple hours before to make sure it was clear I would be there for the burial and agreed to come at a set time. I showed up an hour before that set time and my father was already buried!! This was extremely upsetting and the men finishing up did not seem to care in the slightest about my distress. It seems like they were just glad to have "finished up early". This has been extremely distressing for me and my family/friends are upset hearing it as well. I'm still struggling with what happened. I spoke with Manny afterwards and he was very apologetic as this was not how it was supposed to go, he was not notified they were going to finish early so there was really nothing that could have gone differently on his end. There is some major communication issues going on. I'm definitely rethinking the plans I was considering for myself and the rest of my family in a plot here as it seems like the management is lacking, it doesn't really seem like anyone else cares there. It's kept together just well enough to get paid.

It seems as if everything we talked to her about wasn't executed correctly or at all. They only she did was communicate to the cemetery. My father just passed away i. Mother's Day. A veteran and religious Christian man. They could even provide me with all the correct info for my dad's military honors. I had to search and call 4 different places and people to get my dad's firing volley to find out it was at the veterans cemetery in Riverside. All she had to do is ask if they had availability. Then on the day of our viewing with my dad we were robbed of our personal time with my dad because the sound and tv system wasn't working. They asked me to provide an MP4 video in a usb. We spent 2 hours trying to figure out what to do to pay my dad's memorial video. I then had to buy my own projector and Bluetooth speaker for this. The on-site coordinator/ director didn't know or do anything to help us. He also didn't stop people f coming in to the room for our 1 hour personal time with him. He also took it upon himself to open the floor up for people to speak against our wishes to do things different. He also made me feel weird by asking him to communicate with the cemetery about a gift someone was giving us (flying doves) he said he's never heard of such things. He did nothing for us and the whole thing was jacked up. They don't care. When I communicate this to a manager she sent it to the owners and all they said was they will look into it and the director will get retraining. They robbed us of our special time and this place is a mess!! Don't do it! They just want your money. I've been to other places that are way better!

The shop was able to locate my daughter's original bouquet -- the one with the snapdragons she specifically wanted -- and they even added extra snapdragons to make it extra special. I returned the incorrect bouquet and picked up the right one without any hassle. The manager there (I wish I had gotten her name!) was incredibly sweet and apologetic. She genuinely cared about fixing the situation and even gifted my daughter a teddy bear along with the bouquet. Thank you for taking accountability and going above and beyond to make this right. You turned a disappointing moment into a really special Valentine's memory for my daughter. That means a lot.
