This is significant because they said that all 7 fans were installed 1 day after I closed on my home, which I had not moved into as of that date. On top of that they stated incorrect information as evidence of their lie, such as I have a car charger...because we asked them for a quote before closing, and that when the builder had them replace a dishwasher that was part of the original build, that it also would have voided the warranty. Stay away from this company if you have options.

We made an appointment for Friday, 5 September between 11.00 and 1130. I got a message at 10:48 on the that day saying he was held up on a job involving a well for drinking water. I understand that drinking water is more important that irrigation and let him know that I understood. He said he would swing by later in the day but never showed and never called saying he would not be able to make it. He reached out that night at about 8:30 apologizing and we rescheduled for 10 September between 3:30 and 4:00. Because it was urgent to get a operable pump going, I reached out to M&D Pumps on Saturday morning and ended up speaking with a nice man named Marc. He was there within an hour and had a new pump installed and running within 2 hours after my call. He was also a very pleasant man who was very knowledgeable. On 10 September, Malcolm again did not show and again, he never called to let me know. I sent him a text expressing my disappointment and asked if everything was ok . . . no response. I reached out a day or two later and have not heard back from him. So . . . based on my experience, if you are looking for someone who may or may not show up to work on your irrigation system by all means - GNC Pumps and Irrigation is your company, give Malcolm a call. If you are looking for a company that can work on your pump and will show up in a timely manner then I strongly recommend calling Marc at M&D Well and Pump at 757-718-6149. I ended up doing the irrigation work myself but I have three neighbors that recommended Joe Mallack Irrigation at (757) 615-0868. I'm sure there are other great irrigation companies but I cannot recommend calling GNC.

Then, because we had good experience with the front, we had them install the well and plumb it to the existing irrigation up front (well went out back). The pump installation is shoddy workmanship, the wiring for the irrigation valves was terrible and they refused to honor their agreement to give us $100 for every customer we sent their way that spent $1k or more (we sent two, maybe three not sure how much they spent). They didn't return phone calls to us or those we referred them to. They arrived late or not at all on two or more occasions, then didn't even return to repair what had broken. I have had to re-do almost every bit of work they performed on my property, so please steer clear of them!

They also asked permission to place certain niche items (vintage jewelry) into another upcoming auction they determined would be a better fit, which I appreciated. The detailed photos they took and research done to document maker/year/materials for items were high quality and beyond expectation. Importantly also, their auction content was honest for buyers, showing any cracks or damage if items had such. The website was slick, easy to navigate, w/audible "dings" during the auction when something was bid on, along w/showing the bid offers. As a seller, there were no hidden or peripheral fees, Coastal Downsizing took a fair and straightforward % of the sales. Within ~2 weeks post-auction, I received a check for my portion of the sales and an emailed inventory of my items, listing what sold and what didn't, incl. the winning bids Overall: EXCELLENT service!

This was a very small lot with lots of traffic from buyers, and a very narrow shoulder to a busy road, to park on. I had to make a decision to show up when I did, or risk being late. At the time of my original arrival I judged that there was no way to be precisely on time in this environment. In all of my 50 years, I have never been castigated this way for being early, especially so loudly and publicly. You can bet I won't be early, or late, ever again. The owner is in way over his head and cannot efficiently handle a fast pace. Ask for help...I would have been willing.

It took about four days of calling before I was able to reach Rob, but I'm glad I persisted. Thank you, Rob Skinner, for stepping in and fixing the situation.

Now the fun begins, the slow annoying stringing along. Never a follow-up call, we have to call and wait. The answer is always the parts not in yet, blah blah blah. On 13 Dec contacted RS Andrew's and discovered that they actually received my part and did not call me. They said the part arrived but parts dept is closed. I regret calling them, the bill will be $1400. My furnace is still not fixed. I am tempted to attempt canceling,but I know they will legally screw me if I do. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. BTW did some research the part is $90 next day delivery on Amazon and definitely DIYable. Beware!
