The quality and value were terrific. Also, the service was quick (2 days). The staff is a pleasure to deal with, and we will always be going back. They are 20% less than the cleaners near Cafe Chardonnay. read more

Stay away from this place. Charges $17 to dry clean one shirt Outrageous!!! There are other places that are just as good.

Absolute robbery on alterations! Tailor never gave a price... then gave me ridiculous overpriced charges on pick up. The guy ringing me up was laughing at the cost (I thought he was kidding). I refuse to pay on principle -they kept my clothing! I give the place negative stars. The owner followed me to the parking lot & reduced the price $10 - which was still insanely high! BTW - weeks ago I spoke to the tailor & told him that the pants were inexpensive & I wanted simple inexpensive alterations: I was told "no problem" (also: he held up some cheap elastic he had on hand -& asked if it was fine for him to use - I agreed thinking it would be resonable & quick as he had what he needed to do the repair) then on pick up -$100 charge. read more

This place is a complete rip off. They charge $17 for a T-shirt absolutely unbelievable and the quality of the service is terrible. I absolutely recommend avoiding this place at all cost. read more

Clothes appear to be clean but smell terrible. On average each piece was 12 to 25 each and I'm so upset . $150 for 10 pieces terrible

Where do I start? For years, Oakbrook cleaners was our go to place for dry cleaning. Although fairly high priced, Carlos and Louis were pleasant, courteous and did an excellent job on my wife's and my clothing. However, something has happened over the last 6 to 8 months. A number of my wife's fine clothing were either shrunk down so they could never be worn again, clothes came back with the stains still in them and silk blouses came back burned from over steaming or steaming too close. As for my clothes, my Robert Graham shirts started coming back with buttons missing or missing the caps, dress shirts that I brought in to remove stains, had the stains removed but new stains appeared that weren't there. Those were cleaned and then new ones appeared that could not be removed. We stuck with them way too long, but the straw that broke the proverbial camel's back was the old woman (Carlos' mother apparently) who works there (and has never once smiled in 5 years) told me I was lying when I told her a pair of jeans and a shirt of mine did not come back this week. She told me that the items weren't in the shop and that I never brought them in. Needless to say I got angry and lo and behold the jeans and shirt miraculously appeared the next day. We're never going back and recommend that no one else goes there either unless you want clothes coming back stained or smaller than when you brought them in, assuming they come back at all. read more

They are the best cleaners around. I've been using them for years and I would never trust my clothes to anyone else. They are family owned, always pleasant and the clothes are always returned beautifully and on time. read more

My wife, Suzi and I are 72, 73 years young and we've lived and used dry cleaning services in NYC, London, Wash DC, Atlanta, many locations in NY and have NEVER come across a better dry cleaning operation than Oakbrook Cleaners. Firstly, their quality is superb. They really know how to remove any kind of stain. Their quality is above any dry cleaner we've ever experienced. Secondly, Carlos and his mother, the owners are genuine, kind professionals. They have been in the dry cleaning business for over 50 years and truly are very skilled. Finally, their customer service is superior, bar none. After our second visit, Carlos greets us by our name every visit. And their prices are very fair and competitive, We cannot recommend them more highly. PS: If you pick up through their drive in window, they gladly without even asking, place you garments in the back seat of your vehicle. read more

My shoes were promised to be repaired on Thursday afternoon. When I came to pick them up on Friday evening, they were not ready and now promised for Saturday. I came back to pick them up on Wednesday the following week and the place is closed! WTF!!!! Terrible and unreliable! read more

I would not recommend this cleaners. Highly expensive and charge ridiculous prices. $8.50 to laundry t-shirt & $9.00 to laundry jeans. This also ripped my t-shirt so quality of work is poor and didn't even mention anything. It was a brand new t-shirt. Do not give this place business as they do not deserve it. read more

Poor service for outrageously expensive prices. I brought in a pair of khakis, a shirt and a light summer dress in for cleaning. I pointed out fresh stains on the paints and dress that needed to be removed. I got them back with a price tag of $33 and both stains STILL THERE. When I expressed my dissatisfaction, especially in light of the ridiculous pricing, they said they would try again. I went back the next day as they requested only to receive the garments in the exact same condition they were left in. No apologies, no offers to make this right. I moved from New York City where this would have cost less than half and the stains would have actually been removed. The ticket they give you when you drop off doesn't include prices, so it's always a shocking surprise when going there. Needless to say, after my most recent experience I will absolutely not be going back. I advise others to find alternatives nearby, of which there are several. It's amazing they're in business-- would have been bankrupt in NYC by now! read more

I had to give one star as zero wasn't an option. They ruined my scarf that was placed in for dry cleaning and they washed because they follow the label. They ignore clients request and do nothing to rectify the situation. New to the neighborhood and use a cleaner a lot...they just lost a good customer. When I mentioned I wouldn't be back employees heard saying "thank god"....same employee was rude on several visits to the business. Do yourself a favor and avoid this business!!! read more

I was bringing my bag of clothes in every week and every week they charged me 50 dollars for wash and dry. Then it went up to 55 dollars and they said it was because they really didn't charge me enough in the beginning. I complained and they continued to charge me 50 dollars. Then a few weeks later it went up again. They said because they had to take some stains out. I complained that several of my shirts came back with stains all over them and they smell. Then the said because they had to press some shirts. I said it was wash and fold. One of my shirts came back wrinkled so bad that I had to throw it away. I finally got tired of listening to their B.S. and stopped going there. They only want to take advantage of good people and their quality of service is terrible. read more

They broke buttons on 2 of my shirts. When they took the first one back to fix, they returned it to me unrepaired. One of the shirts did not even come back clean. Two times they have stated a day when my items would be ready and they were not ready for pick up. In conversations, they keep blaming the Company does their shirts for them without admitting any fault. Very unapologetic about a bad experience. Once I get my last shirt from them, who knows when that is going to be ready, I will not be returning to this establishment. read more

Quality service and delivery. I have used this dry cleaner for 10 years plus. They can pick up and deliver at your office which is very convenient. read more

I work close to this cleaner and saw a lot people going in and out, so I figured that they couldn't be bad. WRONG. I've just picked up a $360 jacket that was beautiful going in and is completely destroyed leaving the place. The jacket label instructs a "delicate dryclean" and apparently, they just throw everything into one big machine and don't measure their chemicals. THEY MELTED THE PIPING on the jacket, now leaving bits and smears of melted faux-leather all over a creme white jacket. There are also little black pieces all over it and when I pick them off, they turn my finger tips black. I have NO idea what those are from. It's so bad that I don't even think that it can be repaired enough to wear again. I'm devastated because I cannot afford luxury items anymore and also because I expected them to hand wash the item - as we agreed when I took it in. The lady forgot about our conversation about how washing it would clean it better than chemical dry cleaning, and she instead tried to get me to share the blame and also feel bad for THEM that they destroyed other people's items in the same machine. She never apologized, never admitted any fault, just sent me out as quickly as she could and 30 minutes later, won't come to the counter to tell me what chemicals were used so that I could check with the manufacturer to see if the process was done correctly or IF it was, as 'she' claims, a product defect. Apparently, I was supposed to be grateful that she didn't charge me to ruin my jacket. Also had some DK silk shams dry cleaned...they folded them over a hangar! There is a big crease in the middle of the sham AND because they didn't make sure that it was folded over nicely, the crease is wrinkled. I'll have to take them home and press them. If you care about your items, or if you absolutely cannot afford to replace something, don't take them to this place. read more

I took in two items of clothing to have pressed for a party. They broke a button on the brand new shirt and melted the zipper on the brand new pants. I can't afford to use this dry cleaner! read more
